Chapter 366 The Kind Side
Inside the sales office.
Under Evelyn's instigation, everyone felt that they had been played by James, so they wanted to take James to the police station.
But just as they were about to make a move, a graceful figure suddenly rushed in front of James and said excitedly, "If anyone dares to touch Mr. Smith today, don't even think about leaving here!"
Everyone was stunned upon hearing this, staring at Pamela who was standing in front of James.
Pamela was sexy and charming, with a great figure, and everyone knew she worked at the sales office. So when they heard Pamela's words, they were all taken aback.
For a moment, the entire sales office fell into silence.
James looked at Pamela standing in front of him, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Even James himself hadn't expected that Pamela would stand up for him at this moment!
In James's eyes, Pamela had always approached him for money, so he didn't really like her.
Moreover, James had just made it clear to Pamela that his account had some issues, and it was impossible for him to buy the houses.
But what James didn't expect was that Pamela still stood up for him.
"Mr. Smith is a VIP of our company. Even if he has financial issues and can't buy the house now, he is still our VIP, not a scammer as you say. So please step aside, or don't blame me for being rude!"
Pamela shouted at the crowd in front of James with bright, angry eyes.
"Who are you? Did James hire you to scam us together?" Evelyn, knowing that James was brought in by Pamela, stepped forward aggressively and said to Pamela.
"I am the VP of Harmony Realty Group. Do you think I would scam you?" Pamela shouted at Evelyn with displeasure.
Evelyn was instantly stunned upon hearing Pamela's words.
"What are you all standing here for? Didn't you hear what I just said? If you dare to touch Mr. Smith, I'll have the security throw you all out!"
Pamela continued to shout when she saw Evelyn not speaking.
A man in a suit shouted, "We are customers. Is this how you treat customers?"
"The houses in our sales office have all been sold to Mr. Smith. What kind of customers are you?" Pamela shot back.
"Sold to this guy?" The man in the suit sneered and said, "Even if you want to sell to this guy, does he have the money?"
"Whether Mr. Smith has the money or not is none of your business. And even if he doesn't have the money, so what? I would rather give all the houses to Mr. Smith for free than sell them to you!" Pamela shouted domineeringly.
Everyone was shocked and their mouths dropped open upon hearing Pamela's words. No one expected Pamela to say such things for James.
Donna stood there, her face full of confusion.
She couldn't understand the relationship between James and Pamela, and why Pamela was defending James so much.
"Mr. Smith, let's go!" Pamela said as she took James's arm and walked out of the sales office.
Everyone watched in a daze as Pamela and James left arm in arm, and no one dared to stop them.
After all, the VP of Harmony Realty Group had spoken, and these ordinary people naturally didn't have the guts to continue blocking James.
After leaving the sales office, James turned to Pamela and said in a low voice, "Pamela, thank you so much for today, but you shouldn't have said those things to them because I might not be able to buy those houses."
Pamela shrugged, giving him a sweet smile. "It's fine. After all, Mr. Smith, you bought that mansion, which was a great help to me. So it doesn't matter if you don't buy these houses!"
"You might not understand what I mean. I mean, I might become broke in the future, and by then, you probably won't talk to me like this, right?" James said in a low voice.
Pamela looked at James. "Yes, I am indeed a materialistic woman. Money is the most important thing to me, and I plan to marry a rich man in the future!"
"And Mr. Smith, you are my best choice. But I know you are not interested in me and won't like a woman like me, so I don't dare to hope to marry you!"
"As for you saying you might become broke, it doesn't matter. I won't marry you anyway. You've helped me enough, and I don't dare to ask for more. When you have money, you are Mr. Smith to me. And even if you don't, you are still Mr. Smith to me. We are still friends, right?"
James looked at Pamela and fell into deep thought.
Sometimes, James felt he had misunderstood girls like Pamela. Although some girls were indeed very materialistic and would do anything for money, they just wanted an easier life. They weren't completely devoid of feelings.
They also had a kind side.
"Mr. Smith, are you in some kind of trouble?"
Pamela was still curious about what had happened to James to make this once extravagant rich kid become like this.
"You could say that." James nodded and continued, "If I can solve this problem, although I can't marry you, I can make sure you live the life you want. At least you can choose your partner instead of just marrying any rich guy!"
With that, he walked towards the parking lot.
Moments later, James drove his Ferrari and quickly disappeared from Pamela's sight.
Pamela looked at the car's back and smiled faintly, then turned and went back to the sales office.
Just as James left the sales office, he received a text message from Charles. The message was very simple: the legal team responsible for managing Willard's estate had arrived.
James was about to face the most important decision of his life!
