Chapter 75: Pamela's Call

At the entrance of the university, James sat inside Terry's Bentley, sifting through the stack of documents carefully. However, to his surprise, he couldn’t find any information on the Rex he had seen last night.

"Are you sure all the people named Rex are in these documents?" James set down the papers, asked with a solemn look.

"Absolutely, these all came from trustable sources. Even if they are not locals of Lumina City, as long as they study or work there, their information is here. This is the most accurate data," Terry replied softly.

"Why, then, can’t I find the person I'm looking for?" James, puzzled, looked at the documents in his hands.

He couldn't understand why, if Terry did what he asked, he still couldn’t find the information he wanted.

"James, are you certain that person's real name is Rex?" Seeing James's puzzled expression, Terry hesitated for a moment before asking.

"Well..." James's eyes flashed as he realized he couldn't be sure if Rex was that person’s real name. After all he had never seen his identification.

"James, the information I have was provided by officials from the registration office. It couldn't be wrong. However, if the person is not actually named Rex or is using an alias, then there’s no way to find him," Terry explained gently as he looked at James.

"This is getting a bit complicated." James let out a soft sigh.

"James, do you happen to have any other information about this person? Like a photo or a phone number?" Terry asked.

"No." James shook his head.

"Well, this does indeed complicate things." Terry admitted, unsure how to proceed.

"Here's what I'll do. I'll figure out a way to snap a photo of that person and send it to you once I have it." James knew that finding Rex with just a name was impossible. Therefore, he would have to wait for Rex to show up at Linda's house again and use the opportunity to take a picture then.

"That seems to be the only way now." Terry nodded.

"Alright, take care of the Kevin situation for me; I have something else to attend to later," James said as he stepped out of the car.

After James left, Terry immediately took out his phone and called Brian. The phone rang a few times before Brian answered respectfully, "Mr. Campbell, what can I do for you?"

"Where is your brother Kevin? Put him on the phone!" Terry ordered sternly.

Brian sensed something was wrong and quickly handed the phone over to Kevin.

"Mr. Campbell? Is there something I can help you with?" Kevin stammered.

"Did you harass a streamer named Linda?" Terry's voice was icy as he questioned.

"Linda?" Kevin, upon hearing the name, was instantly taken aback.

"You have two hours to apologize to her and promise not to bother her again, or you'll face the consequences. Do you understand me?" Terry could tell from Kevin's tone that he indeed knew Linda.

"Alright, I understand!" Kevin shakily agreed, "Mr. Campbell, do you know Linda?"

Terry hung up without answering and drove away.

Kevin was left bewildered. He had researched Linda's background and found out that Linda had no connections in Lumina City, so he felt safe in harassing her. But now, he couldn't fathom why Linda would have any ties to Terry.

Meanwhile, after parting ways with Terry, James headed straight towards home. Though Terry had helped him deal with Kevin, he had yet to uncover the true identity of Rex, which left James deeply concerned for Linda's safety.

Just as James neared his home, his phone suddenly buzzed. Assuming it might be news from Terry, he answered without hesitation.

"Mr. Smith, hello!"

However, the voice at the other end was not Terry's, but a seductive female voice that James immediately recognized as Pamela, the sales manager who had given him a hard time at the sales office.

"How did you get my number?" James asked after a moment of confusion.

"I got your number from Stephanie!" Pamela replied sweetly.

"What do you want?"

James asked, recalling that he had given Stephanie his number, so it wasn’t surprising Pamela had it.

"Mr. Smith, as I mentioned before, our company has launched a new villa development. One of the villas has an excellent layout and location, though it’s a bit pricey. It shouldn't be an issue for you. Do you have time this afternoon? I can show you the house." Pamela quickly explained.

James hesitated. Despite having no other plans for the afternoon, he was filled with concerns for Linda’s safety, and was in no mood to see the property.

"Mr. Smith, this villa is the best in the development. If you don't act quickly, it could be sold to someone else! "

Noticing James's hesitation, Pamela urged him.

"Alright, since I have no other plans, let's go take a look!" James agreed.

"That's wonderful, Mr. Smith! Where are you now? I'll come pick you up!" Pamela said excitedly.

"I'm at Emerald Grove," James said, giving her his location without thinking too much.

"Great, I'll come get you right away!" Pamela said before hanging up.

James put his phone in the pocket and stood at the entrance, waiting for Pamela. Just then, as he stood there, he noticed a familiar figure approaching.
