Chapter 352 Who Exactly Are You?
Glenn couldn't help but laugh after hearing James' question, then he asked James, "You really want to know, don't you?"
"Yes!" James quickly nodded.
"Can't tell you. But I think they will show up in front of you sooner of later," Glenn replied with a smile, then without giving James any time to react, he walked straight towards the helicopter.
At this moment, Savannah had already been taken onto the helicopter, and Cameron had long since disappeared. Now, only the small-time thugs who had been knocked to the ground were left groaning in pain at the entrance of The Golden Elm Bistro.
With things having developed to this point, naturally, no one cared about their lives.
A few minutes later, Glenn boarded the helicopter.
With a loud roar, the helicopter slowly took off and then disappeared from everyone's sight.
Everyone stared wide-eyed at the sky, their expressions filled with shock and envy. After all, who wouldn't envy such a grand way of traveling?
But they also understood that the gap between themselves and people like Glenn and James was too vast; perhaps they would never live such a life.
As the helicopters gradually disappeared into the sky, today's events came to a complete end.
In the eyes of the crowd, James might be the ultimate winner, as he had shown off in front of so many people.
But what they didn't know was that James was actually the loser; what he had lost was beyond their imagination.
At this moment, Charles walked up to James and called out expressionlessly. "Mr. Smith."
James turned to Charles and said softly, "I have already lost the right to inherit the estate, so you don't need to call me Mr. Smith anymore."
"Whether you have the right to inherit the estate is not up to me. Willard has a very professional team of lawyers. Before they issue an official notice, you are still Willard's only heir!" Charles said to James with a serious expression.
James was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, then frowned and asked, "So you're saying that as long as the lawyers haven't announced that I've lost the right to inherit, I still have it, correct?"
"Yes, that's what the will stipulates. And Willard's team of lawyers consists of ten people to ensure fairness and justice!" Charles nodded lightly.
"But even so, it doesn't change anything. After all, my identity has been completely exposed, and it's only a matter of time before those lawyers find out," James replied calmly.
"Although it doesn't change anything, as long as the lawyers haven't issued an official notice, you are still Willard's heir. If you have any instructions, you can still come to me!" Charles said politely to James.
James gave a faint smile. "Got it. And thank you and Terry, for coming to help today. It's getting late, so you two should head back!"
Terry and Charles nodded in agreement upon hearing this, then turned and walked towards the parking lot.
Moments later, Terry and Charles drove away, disappearing from everyone's sight.
The crowd that had gathered at the restaurant entrance to watch the commotion also dispersed after seeing Terry and Charles leave.
After all, with the two big shots of Lumina City gone, they had no reason to stay, so they quickly scattered.
Although everyone left, today's events would likely spread throughout Riversong Province in no time.
After seeing everyone leave, James walked over to Laura, about to speak.
But Laura spoke first, "James, come inside with me. We need to talk!"
James hesitated for a moment upon hearing this, then nodded and said softly, "Okay."
He knew that with things having developed to this point, some things had to be faced sooner or later.
If James continued to hide the truth, it would be meaningless, as Laura was no fool and wouldn't believe what he had said before.
Laura turned and walked into The Golden Elm Bistro, with James following beside her.
Conrad, Joe, and the others looked at each other, unsure of what to do.
They had no idea what was happening or who James really was.
But they didn't follow Laura into the restaurant, knowing she wanted to speak to James alone, so they wisely chose not to disturb them.
Laura and James entered The Golden Elm Bistro and went straight to a private room.
James gently closed the door, then looked at Laura in front of him, thinking about how to explain everything to her.
But before James could speak, Laura asked first, "James, who exactly are you?"
James replied softly, "Actually, I'm a nobody."
Laura shouted at James, her expression extremely agitated, "James, at this point, are you still planning to lie to me? Do you think I'm a fool who will believe everything you say?"
"Laura, I'm not lying to you, and I don't take you for a fool. I'm really just a nobody!" James explained helplessly.
"Fine. Then how do you explain Charles and Terry call you Mr. Smith? And why did Glenn come in a helicopter to save you?" Laura questioned loudly.
James sighed. "I'm telling the truth. They treated me this way only because some kind of... thing."
"What is it?" Laura pressed.
Taking a deep breath, James started, "Half a year ago, I was just an ordinary poor student. But one day, Charles found me and told me there was a large inheritance for me to claim. I thought it was a scam, but it turned out to be true!"
Laura was stunned upon hearing this, as she had heard Savannah and others discussing James' inheritance, so she felt James might not be lying now.
"And then? Keep talking!" Laura questioned with a serious expression.
