Chapter 132 You Are Not Worthy
After dealing with Arnold and Louis, James began to deal with Michael, Jennifer, and the others.
Now, it was actually quite simple for James to deal with Jennifer, Michael, and the others.
He only needed to say one word to get Arnold to expel them.
However, James refrained from taking such action as the matter of his alleged theft had not yet been resolved. If he didn't clear this up, the entire student body at the University of Lumina would think he was a thief, and James wouldn't be able to stay there!
So, he had to explain this matter clearly.
On the other side, Louis was still shocked by James's identity. Even when he reached the classroom door, he was still astonished.
Louis took a deep breath and then walked into the classroom.
"Mr. Turner, why are you here? Is there any result regarding James's matter?" Janet saw Louis come in and excitedly asked him.
"I'm here to find someone!" Louis replied expressionlessly, then turned and shouted to the back of the classroom, "Elbert, come out with me for a moment!"
Elbert, still reveling in the delight of James's expulsion from school, was taken aback upon hearing Louis's words. After a moment of surprise, he stood up and inquired, "Mr. Turner, what can I do for you?"
"The principal wants to see you!" Louis said in a low voice.
"Okay, I got it!"
Elbert replied with a smile, then followed Louis out of the classroom.
"I didn't expect Elbert to get such a big break. The principal must want to commend him, maybe even give him a bonus!" Sandra said enviously after seeing Elbert being called out.
"Yeah, if I had known it would go this smoothly, I would have done it myself. Now that idiot Elbert is getting all the credit!"
Michael also felt a bit regretful.
After all, Elbert played a significant role in apprehending James as the thief. The school might even give him a model student title.
"As long as James gets expelled, it doesn't matter if we get the credit or not!"
Jennifer was in a good mood. She was already thinking about how to mock James later.
On the other side, Elbert also thought the principal called him over to commend him.
Therefore, he turned and smiled at Louis, asking, "Mr. Turner, do you think the school will give me a bonus for helping catch James the thief?"
"Bonus?"
Louis couldn't help but sneer at this, cursing Elbert in his mind for being an idiot. He couldn't help but think about the possibility of a bonus, if only the principal decided not to expel him!
"Mr. Turner, I'm telling you, individuals like James should be promptly expelled and reported to the police. Those previous thefts at our school were probably all done by James. We must not go easy on people like him!" Elbert continued talking to Louis.
"You should think about your own situation!" Louis replied coldly.
"My own situation?"
Elbert was stunned by Louis's words and asked in confusion, "Mr. Turner, what do you mean by that? What situation?"
"You'll find out soon enough!" Louis replied expressionlessly, then pushed open the door to the principal's office.
Elbert was puzzled but still followed Louis into the office.
As Elbert entered the office, he caught sight of James comfortably seated in the principal's chair, with Principal Arnold standing alongside him.
Elbert was so shocked, dumbfounded by the scene, with a look of confusion in his eyes.
But he quickly came to his senses and shouted at James, "James, you delivery boy loser, what right do you have to sit there? Get up now!"
As soon as Elbert finished speaking, Louis kicked him in the butt without thinking and shouted, "You don't deserve to talk to Mr. Smith!"
"Mr. Smith..."
Elbert was kicked to the ground by Louis, his face full of confusion.
He couldn't understand why Louis seemed like a different person, calling James "Mr. Smith," and even the principal was standing respectfully beside James.
Elbert was completely bewildered, not knowing what was happening.
James slowly got up and walked to Elbert, squinting his eyes and saying, "Elbert, I think you've always been a clown. So even though you've troubled me multiple times, I didn't bother with you because arguing with someone like you would be an insult to my character. But I didn't expect you to be so relentless, even framing me to ruin me. You are truly vicious!"
"Framing you?"
Elbert was stunned for a moment, then shouted, "I didn't frame you. You have no evidence to prove I framed you."
"Elbert, at this point, are you still planning to deny it?" James replied softly.
"I'm not denying it. I'm telling the truth!" Elbert roared, then looked at Arnold and sneered, "I get it now. You must have bribed the principal and Mr. Turner with the stolen money, right? James, you are really cunning, even bribing the principal. How much did you steal?"
James looked at Elbert and smiled helplessly, not knowing what to say. Elbert's thinking was indeed different from normal people.
"Mr. Sanders, you must give me an explanation for this today, or I'll call the police right now and report you for taking bribes from students!" Elbert shouted at Arnold.
"Elbert, I forgot to tell you, I'm actually the chairman of the school's board of directors. So I suggest you tell me the truth, or I can expel you right now. Do you understand?" James said to Elbert.
"James, stop pretending. Are you kidding me?" Elbert shouted as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world.
At this moment, Arnold said expressionlessly, "James isn't bragging. He is the chairman of our school's board of directors, and he doesn't need to bribe me. You said James stole your class funds. Given James's status, he wouldn't do such a thing for a few thousand dollars!"
Hearing this, Elbert was instantly stunned, his face full of shock, and his mind became a bit dazed.
Elbert may have harbored doubts about James's words, but with Arnold now acknowledging it, it became evident that James was indeed telling the truth.
Even if Elbert was an idiot, he could tell Arnold wasn't joking with him!
James was really the chairman of the board!
This couldn't be!
James was just a poor delivery boy!
Elbert's eyes widened in shock, looking at James in disbelief.
