Chapter 434 I Like You!
Seeing Linda's dazed look, James could tell something was up.
James was still pretty clear-headed and could easily see that Linda was drunk.
Yep, Linda was definitely drunk and about to start acting out.
After stumbling a few steps, Linda fell right into James's arms, plopped her round butt on his lap, and wrapped her slender arms around his neck.
James looked at Linda in his arms, feeling pretty distressed.
He had planned to get drunk tonight, but Linda beat him to it.
James had never drunk with Linda before, so he had no idea she acted out when she was drunk.
Linda was acting like a fool, sometimes touching James's ear, sometimes his face, her eyes filled with allure.
Seeing Linda like this, James felt pretty speechless inside.
If he had known Linda got like this when she was drunk, he wouldn't have asked her to drink with him.
"James, do you know why I came to live in Lumina City?" Linda suddenly asked.
"No." James shook his head gently.
"Actually, my family's pretty well off. We're kind of a big deal back home, and my parents are loaded. But living there felt too oppressive. Maybe it's because of the big family, I feel like everyone wears masks. They seem harmonious on the surface, but behind the scenes, they're scheming against each other, and it's really gross. So I couldn't take it anymore and came to Lumina City to live on my own!" Linda drunkenly said.
James was shocked. He had known Linda for a while, but this was the first time she talked about her family, and he didn't expect her family to be so well off.
"James, what's up with you? Why are you drinking?" Linda, hugging James's neck, asked playfully.
And what James couldn't stand was that while Linda was talking, she would occasionally rub her round butt on his lap, just like those women in clubs, making James feel all sorts of things inside.
"I'm just in a bad mood, so I wanted to drink a bit." James hesitated for a moment, then softly said to Linda.
"Why are you in a bad mood?" Linda asked seductively, looking at James.
James paused, then took a deep breath and didn't speak.
He didn't want to tell Linda about his issues because she was just an ordinary person. Even if she knew, it wouldn't help, and she couldn't solve any problems.
He was just looking for someone to drink with to vent his emotions.
"You don't want to tell me, do you?" Seeing James not speaking, Linda frowned and continued, "Even if you don't tell me, I know what's going on. You must have confessed to someone and got rejected, right?"
"Sort of." James hesitated for a moment, took a deep breath, and gently nodded.
Linda didn't comfort him but instead started laughing.
James looked at Linda in his arms, feeling speechless, not knowing what she was laughing at.
"Isn't it just getting rejected? What's there to be sad about?" Linda patted James's shoulder and said with a smile.
James looked at Linda's blushing face, feeling a bit awkward. He had never seen her so alluring before.
"James, you can confess to me. I definitely won't reject you!" Linda suddenly said.
James was stunned, incredibly surprised.
He never dreamed Linda would say something like this.
"Linda, what do you mean by that?" James asked, puzzled.
"James, stop pretending. I like you. Can't you see that?"
Taking advantage of the alcohol, Linda finally confessed her feelings.
James was instantly dumbfounded. He really didn't know Linda liked him, and he had no idea when it started.
Linda suddenly turned over and pressed James onto the sofa.
Her face flushed, she looked at James, slightly raised her head, and her rosy, alluring lips moved towards his.
When Linda's lips touched James's, he instinctively wanted to pull away.
But Linda reached out and hugged his neck, and they kissed passionately.
