Chapter 84 The Acting is Quite Good

"Sarah, is this James really a loser? Are you sure about that?" Kimberly asked Sarah, feeling a bit uneasy.

After all, this job was important to Kimberly, and she didn't want to lose it because of this gamble.

"Kimberly, you may not believe me, but you can't overlook James's ex-girlfriend's word. She came forward last night and exposed James. He himself admitted that he's just a poor loser. He's pretending to be a rich heir now, and Pamela is probably being deceived by him!" Sarah confidently stated. She didn't believe that James could afford to buy a villa worth fifty million.

"But if James is really a scammer, why would he stay here?" Kimberly furrowed her brow and asked.

"He just wants to make the act more convincing, that's all!" Sarah replied with a smirk. She continued, "Kimberly, I think James will probably say that the bank personnel can't make it, or he'll bring someone in to play along with him, but no matter what, James can't possibly afford to buy this villa. Don't worry!"

"Alright," Kimberly said, feeling relieved after hearing Sarah's words.

Inside the sales office, the sales ladies, upon hearing Sarah's words, looked at James with disdain.

It was clear that they also believed what Sarah said, thinking that James couldn't possibly afford to buy a villa here.

Time passed, and half an hour quickly went by.

Yet, there was still no one from the bank coming to give James the money.

Kimberly seemed to be getting impatient, stepping forward and shouting at James, "Kid, when is the bank person coming? Are you playing us?"

"Yeah, James, are you trying to delay things? Everyone knows you're just a poor delivery guy; you don't have the money to buy a villa. I bet you'll tell us soon that the bank person can't make it," Sarah also shouted at James.

James touched his nose, casting a playful glance at Sarah, his expression still calm. At that moment, there was a sudden rush of footsteps at the entrance of the sales office. A middle-aged man in a black suit almost jogged into the sales office.

Looking around anxiously, he asked, "Excuse me, I'm looking for a Mr. Smith. Is he here?"

Upon hearing the middle-aged man's question, everyone froze in place.

"Mr. Smith is here!" Pamela quickly stood up, waved at the middle-aged man, and pointed to James beside her with a sweet voice.

The middle-aged man wiped the sweat from his forehead and hurried over to James, respectfully addressing him, "Mr. Smith, hello, I'm Craig Morris, the client manager of Lumina City Summit Bank!"

Upon hearing Craig's words, the sales ladies in the office took a deep breath, their chests rising and falling in anticipation.

At this point, they began to waver, wondering if James really was a rich heir after all.

However, Sarah and Kimberly's expressions were full of disdain.

"I didn't expect James to bring in this actor; he's playing the role quite well." Sarah looked at Craig, who was dressed as a professional manager, with disdain.

"This James really went to great lengths just to trick Pamela into bed," Kimberly added, laughing cynically.

"Hello!" James greeted Craig softly.

"Mr. Smith, I apologize for keeping you waiting. I'm not very familiar with the area, so I was a bit delayed. Please forgive me," the middle-aged man said respectfully as he approached James.

"No problem. Did you bring the money?" James asked Craig calmly.

"Yes, I brought it," Craig nodded quickly, taking out a check from his briefcase. He said softly, "Mr. Smith, Mr. Wilson has already explained things to me. You can fill in the amount on this check as you wish. We have a long-standing cooperation with Mr. Wilson. Once you fill in the check, it will take effect immediately!"

"James, how long do you plan to keep acting?" Sarah suddenly shouted at James.

James raised his head slightly and glanced at Sarah without saying a word.

Taking the check from Craig, he handed it to Pamela, saying expressionlessly, "Fill in the price for the villa!"

"Okay!" Pamela nodded excitedly, took out a pen, and wrote the price for the villa on the check.

"Is this check effective now?" James turned to Craig and asked.

"Yes! It's effective now!" Craig nodded quickly.

Taking the check back from Pamela, James walked directly to Kimberly and said expressionlessly, "I'm buying this villa now!"

Upon hearing James's words, Kimberly didn't show any surprise. Instead, she smiled disdainfully.

"Kimberly, Mr. Smith is talking to you. Are you deaf? Mr. Smith is buying the villa!" Pamela shouted at Kimberly.

Taking the check from James, Kimberly looked at it disdainfully and said, "I didn't expect you all to act so well. This check looks quite authentic!"

"What do you mean, miss?" Craig seemed puzzled as he asked Kimberly.

"Even at this point, you're still acting with me!" Kimberly said with a smirk.

"If I'm not mistaken, you should be an actor hired by James, and this check should be fake, too. If I were to sell the villa to James now, I'd be a fool."

"Is the check fake?" Craig was speechless upon hearing this, not understanding what the woman in front of him was up to.

Nevertheless, he earnestly said, "Miss, I think you've misunderstood me. I am the client manager of Summit Bank. I couldn't possibly use a fake check."

"Do you have any evidence to prove that you are the client manager of Summit Bank?" Kimberly asked Craig.

Craig was taken aback by the question and quickly opened his briefcase to look, only to realize that he had forgotten to bring his ID badge.

"You said you are the client manager of Summit Bank, right? Come on, prove it to me now!" Sarah stepped forward, taunting Craig.
