Chapter 431 An Existence You Need to Look Up To

Lumina City Airport, VIP lounge.

Two stunning women strolled into the lounge, dragging their Gucci suitcases behind them.

One of them was rocking a tight black dress that showed off her killer curves. Her long legs, wrapped in black stockings, were perfectly proportioned, and she strutted in high heels. Her delicate face combined with her sexy figure was just irresistible.

The other woman had a more laid-back vibe, sporting a white blouse and stylish sunglasses. Her hair casually fell over her shoulders, and she had a tall, elegant figure with a calm presence. She wasn't wearing any makeup, but she still looked absolutely gorgeous.

As soon as these two walked into the lounge, they turned heads left and right.

Even the flight attendants rushing by couldn't help but steal a few glances.

"Laura, are you sure about this?" Lily plopped down on a seat and turned to Laura.

"Yeah, I've made up my mind. I can't deal with James right now, so I need to get away and clear my head. Time heals all wounds, right?" Laura replied calmly.

Lily sighed and shook her head, but she didn't push it further. She knew Laura wouldn't change her mind no matter what she said.

Meanwhile, James hopped out of a taxi at Lumina City Airport and dashed straight to the lounge where Laura was.

Lily had already texted him Laura's flight details and the lounge she'd be waiting in.

It was James's first time at Lumina City Airport. After wandering around for a bit, he finally found the lounge.

He tried to walk in, but a security guard stopped him at the door with a smile. "Sir, this is the VIP lounge. Please show us your ticket."

"A ticket?" James was caught off guard. "I'm here to find someone, I don't have a ticket!"

"Sorry, sir, but airport rules say you need a ticket to enter. If you're looking for someone, you can call them and ask them to come out." The guard said, still smiling.

"I'm not here to argue, just let me in!" James snapped, not in the mood for explanations.

"Sir, I can't let you in without a ticket. It's the rules," The guard replied, his expression turning serious.

"If you don't let me in, I'll buy this airport and fire you!" James threatened, glaring at the guard.

The guard scoffed, "Who do you think you are? If you can buy this airport, I can buy all of Lumina City. Do you believe that?"

James glared at the security guard, hesitated for a moment, then pulled out his phone and called Charles.

The phone rang twice before Charles picked up, "Mr. Smith, what can I do for you?"

"I need to get into the VIP lounge at Lumina City Airport. You have five minutes." James growled, his teeth clenched.

"Got it, Mr. Smith. I'll handle it right away," Charles replied calmly and hung up.

The security guard watched James hang up, thinking he was just some nutcase causing trouble.

"Just wait. Once I'm done here, you're out of a job," James snapped at the guard, his eyes darting anxiously towards the lounge.

"Yeah right. I'm waiting." The guard sneered, clearly unimpressed.

Little did the guard know, the airport manager was already hurrying over to James's location.

Inside the lounge, Laura and Lily were chatting while waiting to board.

"Miss, where are you headed?"

A smooth, magnetic voice interrupted their conversation.

Laura looked up, startled, at the man standing in front of her.

He was dressed in a sharp suit, looking every bit the charming, handsome gentleman, with a warm smile. It was obvious he was someone with money.

Laura eyed him with disdain. "Where I'm going is none of your business, is it?"

The man, taken aback by her bluntness, had a strange look in his eyes. He wasn't used to being spoken to like that.

"Miss, I mean no harm, I just..." He tried to keep his composure, still speaking politely.

"You just what? Think I'm pretty and want to hit on me?" Laura narrowed her eyes. "Do you know who my fiancé is?"

"Who?" The man asked, puzzled.

"Her fiancé is someone you'll never measure up to, so I suggest you get lost before you embarrass yourself." Lily cut in, her tone icy.

The man sneered, "Do you know who I am? Do you know how much I make in a year? Aren't you a bit too confident?"

"I don't care who you are. Stay away from us, or I'll call security." Lily snapped, not in the mood for his nonsense.

"I'm a platinum member here. I dare you to try and kick me out." The man shot back, glaring at Lily.

Just then, James and the airport manager walked into the VIP lounge.

James overheard the exchange between the man and Laura and Lily. He looked at the man, feeling like he recognized him but couldn't quite place where from.
