"Who did you say?"
Sarah's heart started racing at Evelyn's words.
She couldn't believe that in just a few days, someone else had snatched him up, and it turned out to be a TikTok star!
"Yeah, Sylvie, the one who's blowing up on TikTok lately!" Evelyn said, lowering his voice. "I can't believe James managed to snag her. If I hadn't seen him stand up to Victor for Sylvie today, I wouldn't have believed it!"
"It's over." Sarah looked at Evelyn, her face showing a mix of desperation and disbelief.
"What do you mean?" Evelyn asked, confused.
"Nothing." Sarah bit her lip, replying softly, filled with regret.
If she had known James would fall for Sylvie, she wouldn't have stayed so distant these past few days.
"Are you saying James is done for? He must be. He dared to cross someone like Victor; Victor's not gonna let that slide!" Evelyn said slowly.
Sarah turned to Evelyn, speechless. In Evelyn's eyes, James might not be able to handle Victor, but Sarah knew James' true identity. Not even Victor or the Hudson Family could match up to James.
All she could think about now was how to win James back from Sylvie!
If it had been any other girl, Sarah might not have been so crushed. But Sylvie? A TikTok influencer? That was a whole different ball game.
