Chapter 211 Sylvie's Temptation
No one saw it coming. James, who looked like he could barely stand a minute ago, suddenly turned into a whole different person. He was all fired up, ready to throw down at the drop of a hat!
Victor had the worst luck. Normally, James wouldn't have done something so reckless. Even if he got pushed around, he wouldn't fight back.
But today was different. James was already in a foul mood, and when Victor brought up his family, it was game over. James just snapped.
He was gonna call Charles to handle Victor, but then he saw Evelyn was there.
With Evelyn around, James couldn't blow his cover. So, he had to deal with it the old-fashioned way—straight-up and brutal.
"James, are you nuts?" Sylvie yelled, realizing what was going down.
She never thought James would lose it like that, smashing a beer bottle over Victor's head!
"James, you're toast. You actually hit Mr. Hudson. Are you asking for it?" Evelyn shouted, finally catching on.
"You hit me? You wanna die?" Victor yelled, wiping blood off his forehead.
James just gave Victor a look of pure disgust and kicked him in the gut.
Victor, who had just gotten up, hit the ground again from James's kick.
James didn't stop there. He ran over, pinned Victor's neck with his knee, and grabbed another beer bottle, smashing it over Victor's head.
The bottle shattered, but James wasn't done. He kept slapping Victor's face, each slap making Victor's head swing like a broken doll, blood splattering everywhere.
"You wanna mess with my family? Bring it on!" James shouted, eyes blazing with rage.
"I was wrong, please stop!" Victor, now a bloody mess, tried to dodge James's slaps, clearly terrified.
"James, stop it, let him go!" Sylvie yelled, pulling James off Victor.
Even after Sylvie pulled him away, James was still fuming, trying to get at Victor.
But Victor scrambled to his feet and bolted.
James was seriously pissed today. He'd been dealing with a ton of crap lately, and Victor's comment about his family was the last straw.
James might usually keep a low profile, but that didn't mean he was a pushover!
As a super-rich kid, if he let a nobody like Victor walk all over him, what was the point of having all that money?
"You hit me? Just wait, I'll make you pay!" Victor yelled, his face a bloody mess.
"Come on, I am right here!" James shot back, eyes narrowed.
"Just wait, I'm getting someone to take you out!" Victor screamed, his face twisted with rage, as he jumped into his Ferrari and sped off.
Victor was out of sight in less than ten seconds. Gotta admit, Ferraris were fast.
The crowd just stood there, stunned, staring at James like he was from another planet.
No one saw this coming!
"James must be out of his mind, hitting Victor like that. What was he thinking?" Evelyn muttered, still in shock.
Everyone else was in a daze too, but now they were sure James and Sylvie had something going on. They figured James only dared to hit Victor because Sylvie was his girl. Otherwise, why would he risk it?
Most people looked at James with pity, thinking he was in for it now.
"James, are you okay?" Sylvie rushed over, looking worried.
"I'm fine," James said, trying to stay cool.
"Good. We need to get out of here. If Victor comes back with his crew, you're in big trouble!" Sylvie whispered urgently.
James glanced at Evelyn in the crowd and then nodded, "Alright, let's go!"
If Evelyn hadn't been there, James would've called Charles and Terry ages ago. But with Evelyn around, he had to keep his identity under wraps, so he left with Sylvie.
Soon, they were in Sylvie's car, disappearing from sight.
Evelyn was left scratching her head. "James is really Sylvie's boyfriend? How could Sylvie like a guy like James?"
Watching them drive off, Evelyn was even more baffled. One was a TikTok star with five million followers, and the other was a broke delivery guy. It just didn't add up!
"Did a poor guy really land a rich and famous influencer?" Evelyn muttered, still in disbelief.
Meanwhile, James and Sylvie were driving away from Aurora Bar. Since Sylvie had been drinking, James took the wheel.
Sylvie sat in the passenger seat, her big, bright eyes fixed on James.
After a bit, she smiled and said, "James, I didn't expect you to be so bold back there. You actually stood up to a rich kid like Victor for me."
James glanced at her, a bit awkward. He hadn't done it for her; it was because of what Victor said.
"You really impressed me today, James. Why don't you just be my boyfriend? I don't care if you're broke, I'll take care of you!" Sylvie teased.
"Are you saying you wanna be my sugar mama?" James froze, taken aback.
Sylvie licked her lips and said seductively, "How about it? I heard you're not rich. Want me to be your sugar mama?"
James couldn't help but look at her. Under her short dress, her long, white legs were slightly parted, incredibly tempting.
