Chapter 51 What Evidence Do You Have?

"How old is that SuperSmith? Is he handsome or not?" At this moment, Linda had no idea what James was thinking. She looked up with admiration, her face full of anticipation.

"What if you go tomorrow and find out he's a bald old man?" James quickly asked.

"If he's an old man, then I'll just return the money to him. After all, he has given me so many gifts, and I can't accept this money!" Linda said.

James became even more speechless.

Linda's point was simple. If the person was around Linda's age and looked decent, she would choose to be his girlfriend.

But if not, Linda would return the money.

Linda's words seemed fine.

But upon closer inspection, something was off because all that money belonged to James!

Although James didn't care much about the money, giving it away to a stranger, especially someone who stole his account, he was quite uncomfortable.

James took a deep breath and said to Linda, "Linda, there's something I haven't told you all along!"

"What is it?" Seeing James' suddenly serious expression, Linda blinked curiously and asked.

"In fact, I am the real SuperSmith and I sent all those gifts to you!" James revealed his identity.

Linda was completely taken aback, staring at him in utter confusion.

"James, what did you just say?" Linda hesitated for a moment, thinking she might have misheard. Furrowing her brows, she asked again.

"In fact, I am SuperSmith, and the person today was fake!" To prevent Linda from being deceived, James had to tell her the truth.

Linda stared at James for half a minute, then burst into laughter.

After seeing Linda smile, James became even more perplexed. It was something he had anticipated. Revealing the truth to Linda would elicit such a response.

"What's so funny?" James asked Linda, his tone tinged with resignation.

"James, you're quite the character. Even if you're just trying to amuse me, there's no need for this joke..." Linda said, smiling at James.

"I'm not joking with you. Everything I've said is true!" James explained.

"Everything you said is true?" Linda chuckled at James, then continued, "Alright, I know you're joking with me. You can't be SuperSmith. You must have noticed I was in a good mood today and want to cheer me up."

James was completely speechless upon hearing Linda's words. While he was worried about Linda falling prey to someone's deception, she mistakenly thought he was jesting with her.

Considering that someone had stolen James' account, his intentions toward Linda were undoubtedly sinister.

"Linda, I'm not joking with you. I'm dead serious. I am SuperSmith, the one who sent you those gifts earlier. However, my account was recently hacked, and the perpetrator is trying to deceive you. Do you understand what I'm saying?" James solemnly addressed Linda.

Seeing James suddenly become serious, Linda couldn't help but pause. She then bit her luscious red lip and asked, "James, are you really not joking with me?"

"I'm not." James shook his head.

"This is impossible." Linda also turned serious as she added, "Do you realize how much SuperSmith has gifted me over these days?"

James was taken aback by Linda's question. While he had indeed been frequently sending gifts to her livestream recently, he never paid much attention to the money involved.

"Over these days, the gifts SuperSmith has sent me amount to nearly three million. You couldn't have that much money," Linda stated. "If you are SuperSmith, why don't you use this money to improve your life? You could upgrade to a better house."

As Linda continued to question James, his expression became even more resigned. He had no idea how to explain these circumstances to her.

He couldn't just tell Linda that he suddenly became wealthy due to inheriting a trillion-dollar inheritance.

At this moment, when James claimed to be SuperSmith, Linda couldn't believe it. If he mentioned inheriting a trillion-dollar fortune, she would be even more incredulous.

"James, if you're SuperSmith, do you have any evidence?" Linda suddenly spoke up, addressing James.

James paused. "Why should I have evidence?"

"Indeed, if you are SuperSmith, you should support your claim, right?" Linda subtly nodded.

After that, James felt even more resigned. The only substantial proof he could provide was the account of SuperSmith in StreamVerse. However, at that moment, his account had already been hacked, rendering him unable to log in.

Seeing James standing there speechless, Linda gave a faint smile and said, "Well, James, let's stop the act. I know you're just joking with me. You can't be SuperSmith who is one of the wealthiest spenders on StreamVerse, known to casually spend millions in one go."

To Linda, James was just a poor delivery boy in her eyes and the idea seemed utterly implausible.

"Alright, since you don't believe me, there's nothing more I can do," James replied helplessly.

"It's getting late. I will take my leave now!" Sensing that James was acting strangely, Linda decided not to continue the conversation and turned to leave his room.

"Wait!" Just as Linda was about to exit the room, James reached out and grabbed her, urgently calling out.

"Do you have something else to say?" Linda turned her head to look at James, puzzled.

"I have evidence that can prove I am SuperSmith!" James added.

"What evidence do you have?" Linda was curious.

"That evidence is the word 'Smith' in SuperSmith. It's my surname. That's why I chose the name SuperSmith in the first place!" James stated confidently, looking at Linda.
