"Ms. Howard, I'm not trying to target you. Can you just let this go?"
Demetrius saw Donna standing there in a daze and reminded her with a smile.
"I'm not holding a grudge against you. I just want my paycheck back!" Donna hesitated for a moment, then said softly.
"No problem, I'll have the finance department send you your paycheck right now. Don't worry about it!" Demetrius quickly replied with a smile.
As long as Donna didn't continue to hassle him about this, he was very happy. After all, he didn't want to offend the company's VP, Pamela, or James, the super-rich heir, over such a trivial matter.

Donna was even more shocked by Demetrius's attitude.
"Demetrius, what are you standing around for? Hurry up and get Miss Howard's paycheck settled!" Pamela, standing nearby, shouted impatiently at Demetrius.

Demetrius nodded understandingly and quickly turned to run towards the office.
After Demetrius left, Donna looked at James with a puzzled expression. Just as she was about to ask James what was going on, Pamela sweetly said to James, "Mr. Smith, let's not waste time here. Let me show you the property!"
"Alright!" James nodded lightly and then turned to follow Pamela towards the model area.
But after taking a few steps, James suddenly turned to Donna and said softly, "Donna, come with me. I need your help with something."
"You need my help?"
Donna was stunned for a moment, then ran to James's side and asked in a puzzled tone, "James, what do you need my help with?"
"You'll find out in a bit!" James didn't explain the matter to Donna, keeping it a secret.
"And James, what's going on? Where did you get those clothes? Why was Demetrius so afraid of you just now?"
Donna took the opportunity to quickly ask the questions that had been bothering her.
"Donna, don't you know I'm a rich heir?" James said with a smile to Donna.
"You're a rich heir?"
Donna was stunned again upon hearing this, her face showing an expression of utter shock.
"Yeah!" James smiled at Donna, but he wasn't in the mood to explain the situation to her or ask why she was working in such a place.
Because there was something very important he needed to do: he had to spend the money before Matthew could seize the inheritance, to secure his future.
And the reason James called Donna over was simple: he was worried that if he put the purchased property in his own name, Matthew and the others would find a way to take it back.
So James planned to put the properties in Donna's name, so he wouldn't have to worry about Matthew and the others investigating.
James had considered putting the properties in Pamela's name, but he felt Pamela was somewhat unreliable. Faced with such a large sum of money, who knows what someone like Pamela might do.
So he chose the kind-hearted Donna. Besides her, James couldn't think of a better candidate.
"Mr. Smith, this is a new development our company has recently launched, located in the southern part of Lumina City. The surrounding facilities are very complete, with schools, shopping malls, and hospitals all available. This development is perfect in terms of location and planning. I estimate that in a few years, the property value here will increase!" Pamela said softly to James.
After hearing this, James turned to Donna beside him and asked with a smile, "Donna, you've been working here for almost a month. What do you think of the properties here?"
"The properties here are indeed quite good, with great potential for appreciation!" Donna answered very seriously.
"Since you say so, I think there shouldn't be any problem!"
James smiled faintly, then turned to Pamela and said, "Pamela, find out how many properties are left in this development. I'll take them all!"

Pamela was stunned upon hearing James's words, her face showing an expression of disbelief.
Given the current property prices in Lumina City, if someone wanted to buy all the remaining properties in this development, it would cost at least a billion dollars!
A whole billion dollars, a number that ordinary people wouldn't even dare to dream of!

Before Pamela could speak, Donna said, "James, you must be joking, right? This is a sales center, not a market. Who buys properties like this?"

If James really intended to buy so many properties, why come here at all?
Why not just buy a piece of land and become a developer himself?
"I'm not joking. Go find out how many properties are left; I'll take them all!" James repeated to Pamela with a blank expression.
"Okay... okay, Mr. Smith, I'll go find out right now!"
Pamela quickly nodded and then hurriedly walked towards the office in her high heels.
After Pamela left, Donna's expression became even more puzzled. She quickly ran to James and asked loudly, "James, what are you doing? This sales center is full of security guards. If you're joking with them, you'll be in big trouble."
Kind-hearted Donna thought James was joking with the people at the sales center.
James couldn't help but smile faintly at Donna's words, then said with a blank expression, "Do I look like I'm joking?"
