Chapter 210 Don't Touch My Bottom Line!
James was just trying to get under Victor's skin, plain and simple.
Plus, Sylvie had just called James her boyfriend and wanted him to play along, so he figured he could get away with some bold moves without her pushing back.
Sylvie was a top-tier TikTok influencer with five million followers, and she had a killer figure and a magnetic presence. Her legs, especially, were the stuff of dreams.
Holding a woman like that? Yeah, that was something most guys would fantasize about.
Right then, in front of everyone, James pulled Sylvie's soft, delicate body into his arms, and her sweet scent hit him immediately.
The first time he met her, he noticed that scent, and now it was even stronger.
Because of how they were standing, James ended up hugging Sylvie from behind. She was wearing this delicate chiffon dress, and he could feel her smooth, soft skin with his right hand. It was pretty amazing.
Sylvie shivered a bit when James hugged her and whispered, "Who said you could hug me?"
"If we're gonna act, let's go all in," James replied casually.
"You..." Sylvie was at a loss for words, but she couldn't risk making a scene now, so she played along.
"Victor, Sylvie's my girlfriend. Even if I'm just a delivery guy, a nobody, she still likes me. So back off, got it?" James shouted at Victor, full of swagger.
"No way, there's no way Sylvie would be with someone like you!" Victor yelled, eyes wide with disbelief.
He couldn't wrap his head around the idea that Sylvie would choose a broke delivery guy over him.
"Victor, I've told you a million times, James is my boyfriend. So stop bothering me, okay?" Sylvie took the chance to warn Victor, then turned to James and said, "James, let's go home. I'll cook for you."
"Sure," James nodded, and they started to leave together.
Everyone around them was stunned, their faces showing a mix of shock and confusion after hearing Sylvie and James talk.
From what Sylvie said, it sounded like James was already living with her!
"What the heck is going on?" Evelyn was completely floored, mouth hanging open in disbelief.
"Hold it right there!" Victor suddenly shouted at James.
"What now?" James turned back to Victor, calm as ever.
"Break up with Sylvie right now, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life!" Victor yelled, his eyes red with anger.
"And if I don't, what are you gonna do about it?" James asked coolly.
"You..." Victor's eyes flashed with rage.
He'd never been humiliated like this before, so after a moment of hesitation, he charged at James.
Seeing Victor ready to throw down, James didn't waste a second. He kicked Victor right in the gut.
Victor stumbled back a few steps before crashing to the ground.
James had been in a foul mood ever since he got pinned down by that 200-pound girl in the dorm earlier. She was way too heavy, and James had only ever hit one woman, Jennifer, so he was too embarrassed to fight back.
But just because he got overpowered by a big girl didn't mean he couldn't handle Victor.
James had been hitting the gym since he was a kid, and before he came into money, he was delivering food and doing all sorts of part-time gigs. So, he was in way better shape than most people.
Victor, on the other hand, was just a spoiled rich kid who spent his time partying. No wonder James could knock him down so easily.
Everyone was stunned. Nobody thought James would actually hit Victor, who was the eldest son of the Hudson Family in Lumina City!
"James, why did you hit him?" Sylvie looked worried. She knew Victor's background and was scared he'd come after James.
"He started it!" James said casually, then kept walking.
"Damn you, how dare you hit me? I'll kill your whole family!" Victor shouted from the ground, seething.
"Excuse me?" James's face darkened, and he repeated Victor's words slowly.
James's whole vibe changed.
Everyone has a breaking point.
Once someone crossed that line, there was no going back.
James had one too. When he was dirt poor, he could swallow his pride, but he'd never let anyone insult his family.
James lost his parents young, so family was sacred to him.
"Sorry, I'm an orphan, so you won't get the chance!" James said coldly, then walked toward Victor with a deadly look in his eyes.
"James, what are you doing?" Sylvie grabbed his arm, sensing something bad was about to go down.
"Let go of me!" James shook her off and kept moving toward Victor.
"What are you gonna do?" Victor was freaked out. He didn't expect his words to set James off like this.
"What am I gonna do?" James's eyes flashed coldly. "I'm gonna show you what it means to kill your whole family!"
Victor's heart skipped a beat, and fear crept in.
Without another word, James picked up a bottle from the ground and smashed it over Victor's head.
The bottle shattered with a loud crash!
Blood started trickling down Victor's forehead, and everyone around was in shock, their faces filled with disbelief.
