Chapter 34 Meeting of Mutual Dislike

At ten o'clock in the morning.

James finally arrived at Moonlight Garden.

Although it was not yet mealtime, the entrance of Moonlight Garden was already filled with various luxury cars.

Moreover, the people coming and going here were all stylishly dressed young people.

Although James was wearing new clothes today, he still felt somewhat out of place compared to the people entering and leaving Moonlight Garden.

Upon arriving at the entrance of Moonlight Garden, James strode directly inside.

Seeing James' appearance, the security guard at the entrance couldn't help but pause for a moment, then reached out to stop James, furrowing his brow as he asked, "Young man, are you here to apply for a job? Applicants use the back entrance!"

"I am not here to apply for a job; I am here to dine!"

James lifted his head to glance at the security guard and replied coldly.

"You're here to eat?"

Upon hearing James' words, the security guard was somewhat puzzled but let James in anyway.

Although most of the people who came and went in Moonlight Garden were affluent second-generation individuals, there were also some ordinary folks among them.

Most of these people were friends of the affluent second-generation, so the security guard didn't think much of it.

Upon entering Moonlight Garden, James was immediately struck by the interior decoration.

The lobby floor was tiled with creamy white Italian marble, and bustling crystal chandeliers exuded brilliant light, casting a dazzling glow on the pale gold wallpapered walls..

At the very top hung an antique bronze chandelier, luxurious and elegant. From the doorposts to the interior furnishings, everything was exquisitely crafted.

Walking in, James felt like he was in a movie—the wallpaper, the chandeliers, the towering heights, the luxurious tableware.

A sense of royal court grandeur enveloped him.

If Charles hadn't booked this restaurant for James, he might never have visited such a place in his life.

This was the world of the wealthy, a paradise beyond the reach of the poor!

In the eyes of ordinary people, a place like the Azure Pavilion was already considered unattainable, but in reality, the Azure Pavilion paled in comparison to the Moonlight Garden.

James took out his phone to call Charles and inquire about the location of the reserved private room.

However, when he took out his phone, he felt a slight pang in his stomach, so he turned around and went to the restroom.

It must be said that the restroom in Moonlight Garden was also beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable ambiance.

Meanwhile, inside the private room.

The young lady checked her phone and noticed that it was nearly ten o'clock. She couldn't help but furrow her brow and say, "Laura, who exactly is your fiancee? We agreed to meet at nine, and it's already ten; he still hasn't shown up!"

The professional lady heard this and also furrowed her brow but didn't say much.
Indeed, being late for a first date was quite off-putting behavior.

"Laura, someone who can be late for a date like this is absolutely unfit to marry you!"

"Do you realize how many people in all of Lumina City would love to take you out for a meal, but he dares to be late!"

The young lady exclaimed indignantly.

"Perhaps something delayed him!"

The professional lady replied softly.

"Nothing is more important than meeting you for a date!"

The round-eyed young lady exclaimed fervently, then stood up and said, "Laura, I'm going to the restroom. When that jerk arrives, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind!"

"Go ahead."

The professional lady replied calmly.

The young lady, in high heels, walked to the exit of the private room.

In no time, she arrived at the restroom. Just as she was about to enter, she suddenly noticed a very familiar figure standing in front of the sink.

The young lady was taken aback for a moment, then stopped her steps and carefully inspected James, who was washing his hands at the sink.

"Why does that figure look so familiar?"

The young lady murmured softly.

The next second, James finished washing his hands and turned around, instinctively flicking the water from his hands.

Little did James know that someone was standing behind him, and the water he flicked landed directly on the young lady's face.

The young lady let out a sharp scream, then took few steps back, staring wide-eyed and exclaiming, "Are you out of your mind? Don’t you see..."

Before the young lady could finish her sentence, she promptly froze in place.

"What a coincidence!"

James looked at the beauty in front of him and managed an awkward smile.

The woman standing in front of James was none other than the girl he had accidentally bumped into at the Lumina University the day before.

"It's you! You lecher!"

The young lady exclaimed indignantly.

"I am definitely not a lecher."

Upon hearing the young lady's accusation, James said somewhat helplessly.

"You are a lecher."

The young lady crossed her arms and sneered.

After leaving the Lumina University yesterday, the young lady had been pondering how to get back at James.

After all, she had never had any physical contact with anyone before, let alone someone who violated her chest.

And when she learned that James was a poor delivery guy, she felt even more repulsed by him.

However, at Lumina University, surrounded by friends, the young lady didn't dare mention the incident of James touching her chest.

But now it was different; no one here recognized her. So, she started scheming in her mind about how to exact revenge on James.

"I don't have time to discuss these matters with you now. I am not a lecher." After saying this, James prepared to turn and leave. It was almost ten o'clock, and James was eager to see his fiancée!

Though James had already assumed that his fiancée was unattractive, a little fantasy never hurt anyone—what if she turned out to be decent-looking!

"Hold on!" The young lady saw James about to leave and quickly commanded him to stop.

"Do you have unfinished business?" James turned his head and looked at the young lady somewhat bemused.

"You just splashed water in my face just now, and now you want to leave like this?" The young lady's eyes gleamed with a hint of cunning as she addressed James.

"And if I do? What do you want?"

James furrowed his brow as he spoke.

The young lady couldn't help but smile when she heard James' response. She stepped forward, scrutinized James carefully, and then said, "I want you to kneel down and apologize to me. Otherwise, I will go to the restaurant manager and complain about you, saying you tried to assault me and have you fired!"

"What?"

James was left speechless as he faced the young lady, not knowing what to say.

The young lady had heard about James from Wayne at the Lumina University before. She was well aware that James was a poor fellow who scraped by delivering food; he couldn't afford to eat at the Moonlight Garden.

Now that James appeared in this place, the only logical explanation was that James was here for a part-time job.

Therefore, the young lady threatened to fire James in revenge for the previous incident where he had hurt her chest.
