Chapter 205 A Hidden Rich Scion

After they left the restaurant, Craig turned to James, looking puzzled. "Mr. Smith, are you really just giving her that money?"

James replied calmly, "Do you think I gave her a gift or a ticking time bomb?"

"A ticking time bomb?" Craig echoed, still confused.

"Do you know the quickest way to ruin someone?" James asked.

"No, I don't," Craig admitted, shaking his head.

"Just give them a windfall to blow. Not too much, not too little. Five million dollars is perfect," James explained.

Craig's face lit up with understanding. "I get it now, Mr. Smith!"

"Alright, take me to Felia Company," James said softly.

"Okay!" Craig nodded and drove James to Felia Company.

James didn't care what Jennifer would do with the money. He knew it would eventually lead to her downfall.

His priority was to explain his situation to Laura. He wasn't sure if Laura would forgive him.

During the drive, James stared out the window, deep in thought.

After a while, he took out his phone and made a call.

The phone rang twice before someone picked up.

"Mr. Smith, what can I do for you?" the man asked.

"I need a favor," James said calmly.

"What is it? Just tell me," the man replied after a brief hesitation.

James explained his plan in a few minutes.

The man on the other end of line was puzzled. He didn't understand why James wanted to do this.

Even Craig, sitting next to James, looked confused.

"James, why are you doing this?" the man stammered.

"You don't need to know. Just do as I ask," James replied calmly.

"Alright then," the man reluctantly agreed and hung up.

Craig glanced at James but decided not to ask any questions and focused on driving.

Meanwhile, back at the Michelin restaurant, Jennifer stared at the large box of cash, overwhelmed.

The other customers eyed her enviously. If not for the security guards, they might have tried to grab the money.

Five million dollars in cash was tempting for anyone.

Jennifer was thrilled to get the money from James, but now she had a big problem in taking it all home.

It was too much for even a strong man to carry, let alone Jennifer.

James had used a delivery scooter to transport the money.

Jennifer had no way to take it herself, and she didn't trust anyone to help.

The security guards had moved the box into a private room, but no one dared to help her take it out. If anything went wrong, they couldn't bear the responsibility.

Jennifer sat alone in the private room, staring helplessly at the huge box of money.

"What do I do now?" she sighed, then hesitated before calling Sandra for help.

Sandra was Jennifer's roommate and partner in framing James, so Jennifer trusted her.

When Sandra answered, Jennifer asked anxiously, "Hey, Sandra, where are you?"

Sandra, still shaken from her earlier encounter with James, replied, "I'm in the dorm. What's up?"

"Can you come to the Michelin restaurant and help me carry something? Bring two big backpacks," Jennifer said quickly.

"What are you up to?" Sandra asked, puzzled.

"Just come over quickly!" Jennifer snapped.

"I'm not feeling well. Maybe you should ask someone else," Sandra hesitated.

"Do you still want the fifty thousand dollars I promised you?" Jennifer asked bluntly.

Sandra's attitude changed instantly. "Wait for me, I'll be right there!"

"Okay!" Jennifer replied, relieved, and hung up.

Half an hour later, Sandra rushed into the private room with two large backpacks. "Jennifer, what's going on? What do you need?"

"Help me pack this money into the backpacks, and then we'll go to the bank," Jennifer said softly.

"The money in the box?" Sandra asked, confused.

Jennifer opened the lid, revealing the cash.

Sandra was stunned. "Jennifer, is all this money yours?"

"Yes!" Jennifer nodded happily, handing Sandra a hundred thousand dollars. "This is yours!"

"Jennifer, how did you get so much money?" Sandra asked, looking fearful.

"Don't worry. It's all legal," Jennifer replied calmly, starting to pack the money into a backpack.

Sandra stood there, dumbfounded. She couldn't understand where Jennifer had gotten so much money.

"What are you standing there for? Help me pack!" Jennifer urged.

Sandra snapped out of it and quickly helped pack the money.

"Jennifer, where did you get all this money? Are you sure it's legal?" Sandra asked curiously.

"If I told you James gave it to me, would you believe it?" Jennifer said with a playful look.

"James? He gave it to you?" Sandra asked, incredulous.

"Yeah, he's actually a hidden rich sicon. This is his breakup fee. Now hurry, the bank will close soon!" Jennifer explained casually, continuing to pack the money.

Sandra gave Jennifer a complicated look but said nothing more, focusing on packing the money.
