Chapter 349 I Underestimated James
Glenn's subordinates instantly understood and, without any hesitation, rushed into the crowd.
Cameron's thugs were already stunned. The only thought in their minds now was to escape as quickly as possible.
After all, they were just some uneducated hooligans who usually avoided the police, let alone facing Tigerheart's men.
Although Tigerheart didn't bring many people, each one was an elite, far superior to ordinary individuals.
In no time, the entrance of The Golden Elm Bistro was filled with screams of agony.
Everyone watched as Cameron's men fell one by one, their faces showing nothing but shock and fear.
They were all secretly relieved that they hadn't provoked James earlier; otherwise, they might be the ones getting beaten now.
Efrain and Vivienne had already fainted from the scene. They were just ordinary rich kids who had never experienced anything like this.
James watched everything unfold with a calm expression.
He knew that after today, everything he had might turn to nothing.
The events of the past two months felt like a dream. To smoothly inherit the estate, James had been walking on thin ice, afraid of being discovered.
But now, James could finally do what he wanted without any reservations.
James took a deep breath and then said with a bitter smile, "Thinking back, everything that happened during this time feels like a dream. But dreams eventually end, and now it's time for me to wake up!"
After leaving with his subordinates, Leroy hesitated for a long time before taking out his phone and dialing a number marked as Mr. Edwards.
The phone rang a few times before the other party answered, asking arrogantly, "Leroy, how's it going over there? Did you get Savannah and the others out?"
Leroy, hearing this, couldn't help but fall silent for a moment before gritting his teeth and saying, "Mr. Edwards, I'm really sorry, but I couldn't rescue Miss Edwards."
"What?"
Matthew shouted, his expression extremely agitated, "Is James crazy? How dare he go against you?"
"James didn't go against us..." Leroy hesitated.
"Then what happened?" Matthew asked, stunned.
"It was Tigerheart Glenn from Riversong Province who personally intervened. Glenn said James is one of his subordinates, and today's matter should be handled by them. I'm just a nobody and can't possibly go against someone like Glenn, so I had to leave!" Leroy explained.
"Glenn? Tigerheart?"
Matthew's expression turned to shock upon hearing this.
As the eldest son of the Edwards family, Matthew had heard of Tigerheart.
He was also one of Willard's heirs, but only if James lost his right to inherit. So, Matthew was very familiar with Willard's influence.
He knew there was no connection between Willard and Glenn, so why was Glenn helping James now?
After a moment of thinking, Matthew asked Leroy, "Do you have any idea what their relationship is?"
"Mr. Edwards, it seems Glenn doesn't know James. Glenn probably came for someone else's favor." Leroy recalled and answered.
Hearing this, Matthew was silent for a while before saying, "It seems I underestimated James. I didn't expect him to know someone like Tigerheart. Interesting!"
"Mr. Edwards, what do you plan to do about Miss Edwards?" Leroy hesitated and then asked.
"Since Tigerheart has already intervened, there's nothing I can do now. Let her fend for herself! Her task is complete anyway. I'll go to Riversong Province myself tomorrow and avenge her."
Matthew didn't hesitate at all and chose to abandon Savannah.
Leroy's eyes flashed with a strange look upon hearing this. He hadn't expected Matthew to be so ruthless, abandoning even his own sister so easily. Such a mindset was truly rare.
Meanwhile, at the entrance of The Golden Elm Bistro.
Glenn's subordinates took about three minutes to take down all of Cameron's men, rendering them incapable of action almost instantly.
"This is incredible!"
"Yeah, they're amazing! It was like a movie or a TV show!"
Everyone looked at the thugs lying on the ground, marveling at the scene, as it wasn't something they could see every day.
At this moment, one of the subordinates ran up to Glenn and shouted loudly, "Sir, the work is done. Any further instructions?"
Glenn turned to James and squinted, asking, "James, what do you plan to do next?"
James pointed to the paralyzed Savannah and the barely conscious Cameron, shouting expressionlessly, "Bring those two over here!"
Savannah was paralyzed on the ground, her face pale and terrified.
"Alright!"
Glenn didn't waste any words and signaled to two of his subordinates.
The two subordinates immediately understood and walked towards Savannah.
Seeing someone approaching, Savannah shouted in agitation, "What are you doing? Do you know who I am? Get away from me!"
The two subordinates had no interest in talking to Savannah. They grabbed her arms and dragged her in front of James.
James squinted, looking at Savannah with a playful expression.
