Chapter 175 Got Beaten Up!

After inheriting a fortune of ten trillion, James went to great lengths to keep his identity under wraps, determined to maintain a normal life. For the past month, he's lived like an average person, carefully controlling his emotions unless provoked.

But over time, the suppressed emotions in James's heart grew.

The events at Laura's company today were the final straw, deeply unsettling him.

At this moment, years of pent-up anger within James had finally erupted, and unfortunately for Xavier, he became the unfortunate outlet for James' rage.

Xavier staggered to his feet, his face contorted, and shouted, "You dare to hit me?"

"Not only will I hit you today, but I'll keep hitting you until you kneel and apologize!" James replied coldly, then rushed to Xavier, lifted his leg, and kicked Xavier hard in the stomach.

Xavier, who had just stood up, fell to the ground again.

James walked over, grabbed Xavier's hair with one hand, and slapped Xavier's face hard with the other.

The crisp sound of slaps echoed throughout the bar.

Everyone present was stunned, their eyes filled with deep shock.

The bar's security guards, who were often bullied by Xavier, stood not far away, watching James beat Xavier without any intention of stopping him.

"Is James crazy? What the hell is he doing?" Jennifer, with her big eyes, looked at James in shock.

She couldn't understand how James had become so fierce today as if he were a different person.

Back in school, even when James was bullied, he would just endure it.

But now, James dared to hit someone like Xavier. In Jennifer's eyes, this was completely out of character for James!

Michael also looked at James' actions in bewilderment, unable to understand where James got the courage to hit Xavier.

Timothy couldn't help but shout when he saw this scene, "Is he crazy? How dare he hit Mr. Murphy? He's dead, he's dead."

But he didn't rush to stop James; instead, he turned and ran towards the private room.

Timothy knew Yancy was in the private room, so he planned to get Yancy to come and handle the situation.

"James, stop! He's Xavier! Do you have a death wish?"

Jessica and Zoe, realizing what was happening, quickly ran to James and pulled at him, shouting.

But James seemed not to hear them, continuing to slap Xavier, with blood splattering from Xavier's mouth, making the scene very bloody.

In the blink of an eye, James had slapped Xavier nearly a hundred times, and Xavier's head swelled, his face covered in blood, looking extremely miserable.

"Do you still want me to apologize now?" James, seemingly tired, rubbed his hand and asked Xavier expressionlessly.

"No, I don't." Xavier, thoroughly frightened by James, shook his head in terror.

Everyone gasped in shock upon hearing Xavier's words, unable to believe that Xavier had been beaten into submission by a mere waiter like James.

But they might have forgotten that Xavier himself wasn't very capable; he mainly relied on his relationship with Yancy to get where he was.

So, even though Xavier usually acted arrogantly in the bar, and no one dared to say anything, when faced with someone reckless and tough, Xavier would also be scared.

"Alright, since you don't need me to apologize, you should apologize to Jessica!"

James grabbed Xavier's hair and dragged him in front of Jessica.

Xavier glanced hesitantly at Jessica in front of him.

He knew that if he apologized to Jessica today, his standing at the bar would be compromised, which would also tarnish Yancy’s reputation.

"James, I don't need Xavier's apology. Just leave quickly!" Jessica shouted at James, her expression very agitated.

"No, he must apologize to you today!" James replied expressionlessly.

Xavier, lying on the ground, looked at Jessica in front of him, his expression very conflicted, unsure whether he should apologize.

Meanwhile, Yancy and Cynthia were chatting in the private room, completely unaware of what was happening outside.

"Ms. Phillips, your bar's business seems to be doing quite well these days!" Yancy said to Cynthia with a smile.

"That's all thanks to your support, Yancy!" Cynthia replied lightly.

"It's mainly because of your good management, Ms. Phillips!"

Yancy smiled faintly and continued, "So, how's Xavier doing here?"

"Xavier has been quite responsible," Cynthia replied.

"That's good!" Yancy nodded at Cynthia and squinted his eyes, saying, "Since Xavier is doing well, Ms. Phillips, shouldn't you consider giving him and his team a raise?"

Cynthia frowned upon hearing this. She had already guessed Yancy's purpose for coming today but couldn't find a good excuse to refuse him.

"Yancy, how much of a raise do you think is appropriate?" she asked.

Cynthia knew she couldn't do without Yancy and Xavier, so even if she was unwilling, she had to accept the reality.

"How about giving Xavier an additional 10% stake in the bar?" Yancy said calmly.

Cynthia's face betrayed a flash of surprise.

She hadn't expected Yancy to be so brazen. Offering another 10% meant that Xavier would hold 20% of Stellar Lounge, a significant share.

"Yancy, don't you think 10% is a bit much?" Cynthia asked softly.

Yancy said, taking a sip of his drink, "Ms. Phillips, Xavier works hard to keep this place running. Your bar's success is largely due to his efforts. You don't want to disappoint your allies. If you push them too far, it'll be you who ends up suffering."

Cynthia looked at Yancy, torn and uncertain about whether to agree to his demand.

At that moment, the private room door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

Timothy rushed in and shouted, "Yancy, we've got a serious problem! Mr. Murphy's been attacked!"

"What? Xavier has been attacked?" Yancy's expression changed dramatically upon hearing this, and he said with a dark face, "Who dares to beat Xavier?"

"A waiter from the bar!" Timothy said, panting.

Yancy turned to look at Cynthia, who also looked puzzled, unable to understand how a waiter from her bar could dare to hit Xavier.
