Chapter 275 Richard Clayderman's Student
3 PM.
They arrived at the ArtScape Center.
The ArtScape Center had this super modern vibe. The fancy design and the soothing piano music made it feel really cozy, almost like a palace.
As soon as they walked in, they noticed a bunch of people practicing the piano.
These folks were all pretty young, the oldest maybe seventeen or eighteen.
"Lily, why are there so many kids here?" Nancy asked, puzzled as she watched the kids practicing their instruments.
"The ArtScape Center has two floors. The first floor is for regular students to practice, and the second floor is for members to hang out," Lily explained softly.
"Oh, got it!" Nancy nodded thoughtfully and headed straight for the second floor.
Once upstairs, they found it less crowded and much quieter. A few middle-aged guys in suits were sitting around, sipping coffee and chatting. There were also a bunch of private rooms for premium members to practice in.
"Lily, you're back?" A woman who looked to be around fifty called out excitedly.
"Madeline, it's been years since we last met. I thought you'd forgotten me!" Lily was just as excited to see Madeline Eve.
"How could I forget you? You were my most promising student. But after you left Willowbrook, I lost track of you. Are you still playing the piano?" Madeline asked, holding Lily's hand.
"Of course, but only occasionally because of work," Lily replied with a smile.
"Glad to hear that. Just don't give it up. You were the most talented kid I've ever seen. If you had stayed, you would've been amazing!" Madeline nodded.
"Madeline, these are my sisters Laura and Nancy, and this is Laura's fiancé, James," Lily introduced.
"Hello, nice to meet you!" Madeline greeted Laura and Nancy warmly, knowing they were from the Hall Family. But when she saw James, her expression darkened.
James figured Madeline's reaction was because she knew he was Laura's fiancé, so he didn't think much of it. After all, everyone seemed to think he wasn't good enough for Laura.
"Madeline, is my piano still here?" Lily asked.
Madeline quickly replied, "Of course, it's in my private room. After you left, I kept it, hoping you'd come back one day..."
"Thank you. Let's talk inside," Lily said, heading towards her old private room, a place filled with memories for her.
The others followed behind Lily, with Nancy looking around curiously.
Before Lily could reach the private room, a woman's voice called out from behind them. "Oh, Lily? How dare you come back?"
Lily turned around, and a look of disgust flashed across her face when she saw the woman.
James also turned to look. The woman was strikingly seductive, dressed provocatively and exuding an alluring aura. Even standing next to Laura, Nancy, and Lily, she didn't seem any less attractive.
The woman was with a man, and they were holding hands like a couple.
"Vivienne, long time no see." Lily said flatly.
"Well, indeed, Lily." Vivienne nodded lightly, then walked up to Lily, looked her up and down, and said disdainfully, "I didn't expect you to be the same, still as annoying as ever!"
"If you find me annoying, you can close your eyes," Lily snapped back, her tone icy. She turned to Laura and Nancy, saying, "Let's go."
Just as Lily was about to leave, Vivienne called out, "Lily, wait a minute!"
Lily turned back, asking calmly, "What do you want?"
Vivienne said, "Lily, I remember you were the famous genius at the ArtScape Center. Everyone praised you, and you always won first place in every competition, while I was always second. It made me very uncomfortable. Now that I've run into you here, do you dare to compete with me on the piano?"
Lily raised an eyebrow, then said, "Vivienne, I know your piano skills well. You have no talent in this area. I advise you to give up; you're no match for me."
"You really think you're that great?" Vivienne shouted, agitated.
"I'm just telling the truth. If you want to compete with me, it would only be self-humiliation," Lily said calmly.
Vivienne took a deep breath, glared at Lily, and said, "Fine, I may not be your match now, but it doesn't matter. Someone else is!"
"Who?" Lily was taken aback.
Vivienne pulled the man beside her over, looking very proud. "Let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Lyle Warner. He's a student of the famous piano master Richard Clayderman and is now a professor at Dreamscape City Music Academy. Do you dare to compete with my boyfriend?"
James and the others knew this was a personal matter between Lily and Vivienne, so they stayed quiet, watching from the side.
"Richard Clayderman's student?" Lily's eyes widened slightly upon hearing Lyle's identity.
Lily loved the piano but had to give it up due to work. She knew very well the status of Richard Clayderman in the piano world. Since Lyle was Richard Clayderman's student, his piano skills must be exceptional.
