Chapter 326 Misunderstood

The next day, at 8 AM, inside the Willowbrook villa.

James slowly opened his eyes and found Laura sprawled on top of him like an octopus.

Her soft arms were tightly wrapped around James's neck, and her long legs were clamped around his waist. Her delicate, pretty face was buried in James's chest.

James knew that because the weather was quite cold and the villa was located in the suburbs, the temperature was naturally lower, so Laura instinctively hugged James for warmth after falling asleep.

Looking at Laura's rosy face, James couldn't help but feel a bit restless, secretly wishing that something could happen between him and Laura.

At this moment, Laura was still asleep, her expression very comfortable and content. Naturally, James didn't have the heart to wake her, so he closed his eyes and continued to rest.

About half an hour later, Laura finally woke up, slowly opening her beautiful eyes.

When she saw herself lying on top of James, a hint of shyness flashed across her pretty face because their current position was too intimate.

But she knew that James wasn't deliberately taking advantage of her, so she didn't say much, quickly moving her arms and legs away and tidying her hair a bit.

"James, wake up!" Laura gently pushed James.

"Hmm?" James pretended to have just woken up, rubbing his eyes and looking at Laura, asking, "What time is it?"

"Almost nine. Let's go have breakfast!"

Laura replied casually, then got up and walked out of the room.

James smiled at Laura's back without saying anything.

A few minutes later, after washing up, James and Laura went to the dining room.

At this time, the Hall family members were all sitting in the dining room chatting, but no one had touched the food on the table, all waiting for Laura and James.

"James, Laura, you're awake?" Conrad saw James and Laura enter the dining room and quickly got up to greet them with a smile.

Laura nodded lightly, then noticed that everyone in the dining room was looking at her with a strange expression.

Laura was momentarily stunned, then instantly understood what they meant.

"Laura, how did you sleep with James last night?" Isolde quickly ran to Laura's side and asked, pulling her along.

Hearing Isolde's question, Laura's face instantly turned red with embarrassment because she knew exactly what Isolde meant.

The Hall family members present also focused their attention on Laura and James. It seemed that everyone knew Laura had stayed in the same room with James last night, and except for Nancy and Lily, everyone looked very envious.

They were all envious that Laura could sleep with James.

"Mom, what are you talking about? What do you mean by how I slept with James?"

Laura couldn't help but roll her eyes at Isolde, then pulled James to sit at the dining table.

Seeing that everyone was present, Conrad announced that they could start eating.

Perhaps knowing that Laura didn't like others talking about her and James, no one continued to ask during the meal.

Only Nancy looked unhappy, occasionally glaring at James beside Laura, feeling it was too easy for James to get such a beautiful woman like Laura.

After breakfast, Laura, Nancy, and Lily dragged James to go shopping. James felt that staying with the Hall family wouldn't be much fun, so he agreed.

"Laura, did you really do it with James?"

After leaving the villa, Nancy couldn't control her curiosity and asked Laura while James was getting the car from the garage.

"What do you mean by 'do it'?"

Laura was puzzled by the question and asked with a confused expression.

"What else could it be? I heard you two slept together last night!" Nancy shouted excitedly.

"Who told you that?" Laura was helpless.

"Who else? Of course, it was Auntie. She mentioned it in the dining room this morning, and now everyone in the Hall family knows you slept with James!" Lily added.

"How could my mom say that? Although I slept in the same room with James last night, nothing happened. He slept on the floor, and I slept on the bed. We didn't do anything!" Laura explained, exasperated.

"Oh, I thought you really slept with James!" Lily replied with a teasing smile.

"We've known each other for so long; don't you know me? I haven't even agreed to be with James yet. How could I sleep with him?"

Laura shouted with her big, watery eyes, then continued, "My mom is really something. Is she so eager for me to be with James that she would say such things?"

"James isn't the poor guy he used to be. In the eyes of our family, he's now a super-rich second generation. Auntie definitely doesn't want you to miss out on James!" Lily said helplessly.

Laura sighed, not knowing what to say.

"Let people think what they want. In my eyes, James is still that poor loser who just got lucky meeting Charles. As long as you didn't sleep with James, I don't want that jerk to get off so easily!" Nancy pouted, looking adorably fierce.

Laura looked at Nancy, her expression helpless. If she had known the Hall family would react this way, she wouldn't have let James pretend to be a wealthy heir.

"Alright, stop talking. James is driving over. Let's get in the car!"

Lily saw James driving a Mercedes out of the garage and pulled Laura and Nancy towards the car.
