Chapter 425 Acquisition of Harmony Realty Group
Marc's face twisted with anger the second he heard what James said.
Casey was now bold enough to hit even Cecil for cash, so Marc knew he was next in line.
Sure enough, after James spoke, Casey didn't waste a second and charged straight at Marc.
Seeing Casey coming at him, fear flickered in Marc's eyes. He stammered, "Casey, you... what are you doing? I'm warning you..."
Before Marc could finish, Casey smacked him across the face and glared, "Warning me? About what? Come on, tell me what you're gonna do."
Marc looked at Casey, terrified.
He knew Casey had gone rogue for money and didn't care if Marc and Cecil would come after him later.
Casey raised his hand again, ready to slap Marc once more.
"That's enough!" James suddenly shouted.
Casey looked confused and turned to James. "Mr. Smith, what do you mean by this?"
Ignoring Casey, James bent down, pulled out twenty grand from his suitcase, and tossed it at Casey's feet. "I've changed my mind. These two aren't worth it. I'm stopping this game. You slapped each of them once, here's twenty thousand dollars, take it!"
Casey stared at the money on the ground, his face red with anger. Only now did he realize James had been playing him all along!
James never intended to give him the full amount!
"Mr. Smith, you... you must be joking, right?" Casey stammered.
"Joking?" James sneered, "Who do you think you are? Why would I joke with you?"
James was rich, but he wasn't stupid enough to hand over all that money to Casey. His goal was simple: to stir up trouble between Casey and Cecil.
Casey had just slapped Cecil in front of everyone, and Cecil would definitely be humiliated and unable to stay in Lumina City.
And Casey would pay for that slap; someone like Cecil wouldn't let it slide!
Casey thought he could make a quick buck and then take off with James' money, avoiding Cecil's wrath. But he never expected to be played by James!
Now, Casey's face looked extremely sour. Not only did he not get the money, but he also pissed off Cecil. James' move was brutal!
But because of James' connection with Terry, Casey knew he couldn't say anything and just looked at James with a desperate expression.
James glanced at Casey and Cecil, his face calm.
At that moment, he finally understood how to wield his wealth!
Just like Charles had said, James was now the richest guy on the planet, and he didn't need to handle things like regular folks. The rich have their own ways of dealing with problems.
And James' way? Throwing money at it!
"Mr. Smith!"
Right then, a middle-aged guy with a big belly came rushing into the sales office.
Everyone was stunned when they saw him.
"Chairman?" Pamela gasped, covering her mouth.
Even Cecil was taken aback. The middle-aged guy had just called out to Mr. Smith, and everyone heard it.
"Does James know our company's chairman?" Pamela wondered.
The middle-aged man hurried over to James, out of breath, "Mr. Smith, hello, I'm Emilio Blair, the chairman of Harmony Realty Group!"
"Is the contract ready?" James asked calmly.
"It's ready. Just sign it, and Harmony Realty Group is yours!"
Without hesitation, Emilio pulled a contract from his briefcase and handed it to James.
Everyone was even more shocked by their conversation.
No one expected Emilio to be there to hand over a contract to James, and it was for the transfer of Harmony Realty Group. James might have already bought the company!
Pamela, Cecil, and Marc were all in disbelief.
It felt like a dream. How could James buy such a huge real estate company so quickly?
What they didn't know was that James was Charles' boss, and in Lumina City, Charles could make anything happen.
James had originally planned to buy all the houses in the sales office and let Pamela manage them.
But after the incident with Marc, James realized that if he was going to spend money on Harmony Realty Group's houses, he might as well buy the whole company.
So, when James called Terry earlier, he mentioned two things: bring twenty million dollars and have Charles acquire Harmony Realty Group within half an hour.
James glanced over the transfer contract, then picked up a pen and signed his name.
Emilio's face lit up with a smile when he saw James sign.
Charles had offered twice the market price for Emilio's company, so Emilio made the decision quickly and personally delivered the contract to James.
With James' signature, Emilio would instantly earn billions more, like a gift from the heavens!
"Mr. Smith, Harmony Realty Group is now yours!" Emilio checked the contract, confirmed everything was in order, and smiled at James.
Everyone was speechless.
No one expected that in less than five minutes, they had a new boss!
