Chapter 105 Why Not Marry Her and Let Her Give Birth?

Seeing her minding her own business as if nothing happened, Sebastian spoke up, "Come here."

“You called for me?”

"Is there a third person here?"

“Don’t sound so offensive...” Isabella put what she was holding down and walked towards him. "I have a name, you could just call me by it."

Sebastian threw his tie perfectly into her hands, the meaning behind it clear.

Although Isabella didn't want to, she clenched her teeth and started to help him put the tie on.

I really want to strangle him with this tie!

She didn't say a word, but quickly and skillfully finished putting the tie on, seemingly wanting to get it over with.

As soon as she finished, Isabella immediately pulled her hand back and turned to leave.
But...

Sebastian pulled her back forcefully.

"What are you doing?" Isabella tried her best to hold all her emotions back and remain calm. "Is there something else you need me to do?"

"Before you met Lynda yesterday, you knew about her existence," Sebastian stated, using a certain tone instead of denying it.

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded and admitted, "Yes."

“Who told you?”

"I asked myself."

"Even if you didn't tell me, I would have known," Sebastian's sharp gaze locked onto her.

"It's either Brittany or Anthony who told you. Or... Grace, the one you had a grudge with?"
Isabella's heart skipped a beat.

How did he guess? He practically figured it all out!

“It seems that I’m right,” Sebastian said. “You indeed knew.”

"The whole world knows," Isabella met his gaze. "I'm the only fool who was kept in the dark."

Sebastian analyzed, "Brittany and you have been unusually close lately, so it's not surprising if she told you. As for Anthony, she probably had the opportunity to mention it when you went to the Lawrence family's place last time. And Grace... when was it? Hmm?"

"The day I was abandoned in the wilderness, she told me at the hospital," Isabella replied.

Sebastian seemed to think of something, his gaze subtly changing.

"Just by asking this, I remember now," Isabella said. "I've always suspected that Grace sent people to harm me. She's wealthy, and money can make anything happen. But I have no evidence."

"That person has already been sentenced."

"He's likely just a scapegoat. Grace is the mastermind."

"You said it yourself," Sebastian responded, "no evidence."

"Evidence can be found. With your abilities, I think it wouldn't be difficult to thoroughly investigate, right?"

Sebastian held onto her chin. “Don’t change the subject, Isabella.”

"Fine," she nodded. "Then let's continue discussing your lover. You married me because of her, right?"

"Yes."

Isabella asked again, "You have helped me so much, from the Wallace family to my grandmother's illness. The condition is that I have to have a child for you, because of her."

"Yes."

Isabella asked again, "So why don't you just marry her and let her have the child?"

Sebastian remained silent.

"Is it because the Lawrence family won't let you marry her? Or because she doesn't want to marry? Or is there some difficult-to-mention reason... like Lynda being unable to conceive?"

"That's enough," he interrupted her, "Let's stop here."

"You're annoyed by my questions, and you would be annoyed even if I didn't ask," Isabella coldly laughed, "What do I need to do to satisfy you, Mr. Sebastian Lawrence?"

She was tired of pretending.

Yes, she did care, she did feel uncomfortable. It was exhausting to keep smiling and pretending to be indifferent.

"Everything will be as before," Sebastian looked at her, "Everything will remain the same, understand?"

"Act as if... Lynda never came back?"

"Yes."

Isabella replied, "I have no problem with that. I'm just afraid that you might not be able to do it."

He seemed puzzled, "Me?"

"If she comes back, won't you have to be by her side every night? While I'm left alone in an empty room, an empty bed. Sebastian, tell me, how can everything remain the same?"

"I won't be with her every night."

"Oh, I see," Isabella smiled brightly, "For example, you will spend nights one, three, and five at Willowbrook Estate with me, and nights two, four, and six in your love nest with her. Taking turns to shower your affections, is that it?"

Sebastian's face darkened slightly, displeased by her words.

"Well, it doesn't matter to me. I'm already being used by you since I married you. I can adjust my mindset. But Lynda... she's beyond my expectations."

Saying that, Isabella removed his hand from her chin and proactively hooked her arm around his neck, "You love her so much, she has the leverage to make demands, arguments, and negotiate with you. Why would she agree to you marrying me and even... having a child with me?"

"I had no other choice, I compromised, trapped by money. But she wouldn't stoop this low... Could it be, I'm right, she's infertile?"

This is the only explanation that makes sense!

Sebastian loves Lynda, but because she cannot bear children, the Lawrence family forces them to stay apart.

Jarod is already disabled, with no interest in love and marriage, and Anthony is a girl, the youngest. Only Sebastian is the Lawrence family's hope, the pillar of the family.

Therefore, the Lawrence family adamantly refuses to let Lynda marry into the Lawrence family.

In a prestigious mansion, there are many things that can and cannot be done, so-called "rules."

And so, to protect their honor and family name, Sebastian had to comply...

The beloved woman, Sebastian sent Lynda abroad, targeted her family who had just gone bankrupt, married her, and had a child.

With the child, the Lawrence family finally had an heir.

By then...it would be much easier for Sebastian to confront the Lawrence family for Lynda's sake.

If things were truly as Isabella had suspected, then from beginning to end, she was merely a pawn in this game.

A pawn solely responsible for reproduction, serving as a mere womb.

Sebastian slowly approached her, his breath brushing against her cheek. "She is not incapable of bearing children; I am the one who doesn't allow it, do you understand?"

“Why?” she asked.

"Giving birth is torment," he replied, "nine months of pregnancy, excruciating pain. It would be better if you take care of it, and I will provide you with money, isn't that perfect?"

Isabella's face instantly drained of color, becoming incredibly pale.

His words were too harsh.

Harsh enough to make her whole body turn icy cold in this moment.

Yet, she still forced a smile and said, “So, that’s how it is...”

"Don't be clever and assume things," Sebastian said, "Just know what you're supposed to do."
Isabella managed to squeeze out a few words from her throat, "Alright, I understand."

Sebastian pulled away his hand, "Go to the company."

She still had to be his little shadow, following him, revolving around him, learning what she wanted from him.

Is this...enduring humiliation and carrying burdens?

"One last question," Isabella looked up at him, "When you left for three days and left me at Willowbrook Estate, were you going to meet her abroad?"
