Chapter 468 If I'm Not Doing Well, Can You Be Doing Well?

As soon as he stepped out of the room, Joshua locked eyes with Isabella, catching a flicker of worry in her gaze.

Joshua crossed his arms, "If you're worried, just say it. Is it so embarrassing to care about your own husband?"

"Mr. Sinclair, I don't care about him at all. If there's something wrong with your eyes, go get them checked." Isabella clasped her hands and smiled brightly, "Oh, I forgot, your eyesight has always been a problem."

Joshua rubbed his forehead, exhaled, and said, "Isabella, you're acting really weird. Did you actually betray Sebastian?"

"That's none of your business," Isabella shrugged, her smile cold and contemptuous, "Do you have the right to question others about infidelity? Mind your own business."

She turned the doorknob and briskly entered the room, leaving behind the sound of the door closing.

Joshua laughed bitterly, shaking his head in helpless self-mockery.

Back when he pursued Brittany, he had made up his mind to love only her for the rest of his life.

But fate had other plans.

Joshua bit his lip, leaving a deep mark on his pale lips. He laughed miserably and walked out with heavy steps.

In the side bedroom, Isabella wasn't feeling great either.

She knew she hated Sebastian, but she still loved such a terrible person, and was scared because of the car accident Joshua mentioned.

Isabella couldn't deny it; her back still felt a chill. She rubbed her arms, which felt particularly cold.

Isabella sat on the edge of the bed and let out a deep breath. She just wanted to divorce Sebastian and not see him again, but she never wanted him to die.

Isabella's mind was in chaos because of Sebastian's car accident.

Her phone vibrated, and Isabella pursed her lips and opened it. It was a friend request from Samuel.

Just as Isabella was about to click the accept button, her hand suddenly felt empty—her phone was snatched away!

"Isabella, so you are quite capable, huh? Turns out, if you really care about someone, you can find a way to contact them."

Above her, Sebastian's gritted voice sounded.

Isabella was stunned and quickly looked up.

Sebastian's face was frozen with cold anger. At this moment, he looked like an enraged lion, staring at Isabella. He raised his hand and forcefully threw the phone to the ground.

The phone, which had been in her hand for less than half an hour, shattered into pieces, the screen cracking like a spider web.

Some fragments hit Isabella's cheek, leaving a shallow scratch.

Isabella's body trembled violently, frightened by Sebastian.

A thin sweat covered her face, and her outstretched neck showed delicate blue veins.

Sebastian hadn't been unconscious; he had heard every word Isabella said, clear as day, every single word, all imprinted in his heart.

Even if Sebastian had a heart made of steel, Isabella's words could pierce it a thousand times over! Sebastian's nose tingled, his eyes reddened. He reached out, grabbed Isabella's neck, and pinned her to the bed. "I didn't die, and that disappoints you, doesn't it!"

Isabella suddenly couldn't breathe, her chest tightening.

Her face quickly turned red, her lips quivering.

The light in her once lively eyes dimmed, turning red, with tears welling up at the corners.

In her suffocation, Isabella looked at Sebastian's blurred face and said with difficulty, "I'll say it one last time, I didn't cheat. Do you believe me?"

"No!"

Sebastian's roar echoed in Isabella's ears.

Isabella closed her eyes, a tear rolling down her cheek, disappearing into her hair.

"Then you're really smart. I did cheat," Isabella remained motionless, not struggling. "And I was indeed disappointed that you came out of the car accident unscathed."

Sebastian's grip instantly weakened, unable to hold onto Isabella's neck.

He let go, his vision blurred.

The next second, a fierce punch swept past Isabella's cheek, and Sebastian's fist landed forcefully beside her face.

The soft bed was punched into a deep dent.

"Isabella, this time, you've really made me furious," Sebastian said hoarsely. "If I'm not doing well, do you think you will?"

Isabella suddenly breathed in fresh air, unprepared, and coughed loudly, her chest heaving.

Coughing, she said, "If I'm not doing well, so what? Aren't you here with me? You're not doing well either!"

Sebastian sneered, "Fine, then let's torment each other. Now, I'll make you truly feel my wrath!"

As soon as Sebastian finished speaking, the sound of fabric tearing filled the briefly quiet air.

The sound was extremely jarring.

Isabella's skin felt cold, goosebumps rising.

She finally opened her eyes, no longer dazed and indifferent, staring at Sebastian in shock, her hands protecting herself. "Sebastian, I'm pregnant, are you crazy!"

"With me, you're just a pregnant woman, but with Samuel, it's a thrill, isn't it?"

Isabella gritted her teeth, making a clicking sound, and said sharply, "Yes, you're absolutely right! How do you know everything I think, Mr. Lawrence? You're so smart, so amazing!"

Sebastian laughed, looking at Isabella's defensive posture with mocking eyes.

He pinched Isabella's chin, enunciating each word, "Do you think I'd touch a fickle woman like you?"

Both of them had gone mad, saying the most hurtful things they could think of.

Sebastian paused for a few seconds, gently touching Isabella's face, pinching her cheek as he did when they were most in love.

He smiled and said, "There are plenty of clean women in the world, lining up to have something with me. What are you?"

Isabella heard the sound of her heart breaking, and the noise of her dignity shattering.

Before, she wouldn't have had a broken heart, wouldn't have been called dirty, wouldn't have lost her dignity—this was all Sebastian's doing.

If he hadn't schemed against her, she wouldn't have met and fallen in love with such a terrible man.

Sebastian had ruined her.
