Chapter 135 Stay by My Side!

Sebastian raised an eyebrow, "So?"

"And now, I'm at odds with Grace, seeking revenge for every slight... I'm not myself anymore."

"Isn't that a good thing?" he said.

"Those who bully you should get a taste of their own medicine. You haven't done anything wrong."

"That's the question I wanted to ask you today,"

Isabella said quietly, word by word. "Sebastian, do I need to change?"

Does she need to change?

To become someone she's not, to become narrow-minded...

Should she change because of Sebastian?

Since the day she met him, her life has no longer been under her control.

"People change, Isabella," Sebastian replied. "It's just a matter of time."

Upon hearing this, Isabella's mouth hung open slightly as she looked at him, lost and dazed, muttering to herself over and over again, "People change... everyone changes..."

"Yes."

"But from beginning to end, my feud with Grace was because of you. What have I done wrong?"

Sebastian replied, "Sometimes it's not about what you've done wrong. It's because the weak are destined to be bullied. Understand?"

Isabella stayed dazed for a long time.

"So, I need to become strong?"

"Yes. I have been building you up, hoping that after you leave me, you can stand on your own, become strong. Right now, your heart is too soft."

"Shouldn't we keep a little kindness as humans living in this world?"

"Do you not know the saying 'Goodness is taken advantage of'?"

Sebastian asked. "Besides, you haven't done anything unforgivable, your hands are still clean."

The one with dirty hands... was him.

In front of him, Isabella was like a white sheet of paper, pure and clean.

He slowly painted to this white paper.

Now, Isabella was starting to miss her former self, the one who was a blank sheet of paper.

"Fine," Isabella finally whispered after a long while.

She stood up slowly, her movements a bit sluggish, but she never once looked at Sebastian.

She didn't even say a word as she left.

Sebastian thought she would change, fight back, manipulate with schemes.

But, that's not her at all...

Sebastian watched her figure as she slowly walked towards the door.

Isabella didn't ask him the questions she wanted to, instead, she had an attitude of "I know and understand you."

But she came specifically to ask him one question—

"Do I need to change?"
What was she thinking?

"Isabella," Sebastian called out her name.

"Isabella!"

She had already placed her hand on the doorknob. Upon hearing Sebastian's voice, she turned her head and glanced at him.

"Is there something else?"

Sebastian suddenly stood from his chair, took a few long strides, and quickly walked towards her.

He pulled her into my arms with one hand and tightly held her waist with the other.

Caught off guard, Isabella stumbled into his embrace, looking somewhat dazed.

"You..."

She only managed to say one word before her lips were forcefully silenced by his.

This kiss... so fierce. Isabella felt as though her lower lip was being sucked until it bled, causing her to furrow her brows in pain.

She wanted to push him away, but Sebastian had no intention of letting her go.

Breathing became difficult for her, as her nose and mouth were filled with his scent and taste.

Isabella pushed and kicked, but Sebastian remained unmoved.

Helpless, she resorted to biting him hard until her mouth tasted of blood, yet he still didn't release her.

Both of their lips were now bruised.

Did it hurt? Yes, it did.

But it was nothing compared to the pain in her heart.

Only when Sebastian voluntarily let her go did Isabella regain her freedom.

She looked at the bloodstain on the corner of his mouth, so crimson and yet, against his handsome face, it appeared harmonious.

Isabella stared at him and asked, "Does it hurt?"

Sebastian didn't speak and instead raised his hand to wipe away the blood oozing from her lips.

The two of them silently locked eyes. Isabella felt like crying, but she held back.

"I have to go," she said, "I still need to visit my grandmother at the hospital."

Sebastian didn't respond to her words, but abruptly asked, "Isabella, what do you want?"

Puzzled, she asked, "What are you talking about?"

"I'm asking, what do you want?" Sebastian repeated, "What do you desire?"

Isabella shook her head. "Right now, there's nothing I want."

"Nothing at all?"

"Nothing."

"There is something," Sebastian's tone grew urgent, "You must want something."

Isabella stared blankly at him, feeling a sense of panic.

She wondered if Sebastian had figured something out.

Now that the Wallace family was stable, her grandmother's condition was improving day by day, what else could she want?

Truth be told... all Isabella wanted was Sebastian.

She didn't even dare to hope for a complete Sebastian, she just wanted to ask him if, even for a moment, he had loved her.

She wanted Sebastian's love.

But no matter what, Isabella couldn't bring herself to say those words.

"No," she gently shook her head, "You have given me everything I wanted."

"It's not enough, it's still not enough."

"What is it that you want to say, Sebastian?"

He looked at her intently.

"Whatever you want, I'll give it to you. Isabella, what do you want?"

"Stay by my side, no matter what! Do you hear me?"

At this moment, Sebastian was overcome with the fear of losing her.

He wanted to see the lively and playful Isabella from before, not the Isabella who always had sadness in her eyes.

"I can only stay by your side..." she said.

"Sebastian, what nonsense are you talking about?"

He pursed his lips.

"Isabella, whatever you want, I'll give it to you. As long as it doesn't involve Lynda, I can fulfill your wishes unconditionally. You want to punish Grace, make the Turner Family pay the price, don't you? I can do it!"

A hint of bloodshot appeared in Sebastian's eyes.

He was agitated, restless, and afraid... All of his emotions surged within him at this moment.

But little did he know, his words dealt another deadly blow to Isabella.

"As long as it doesn't involve Lynda, you will favor me..." she said, and then smiled. "What if I insist on doing something related to her?"

"Behave," Sebastian's fingertip wiped away the blood seeping from her lip.

"Bella."

This intimate nickname, spoken from his mouth now, had no warmth, only coldness.

How could he love another woman so deeply and yet still call her "Bella"...

"But, Sebastian," Isabella tried hard to force a smile.

"I don't want anything now, really. Not even the Turner Family, let it be the way it is."
