Chapter 470 I will never dare to harm Isabella again.

She yelled, not sure if she was trying to convince the bodyguard or herself.

The bodyguard stared straight ahead, didn't even glance at her, and yanked Lynda's arm, shoving her into the house.

"You're overthinking it." He locked the door from the outside and stood guard.

Lynda stumbled a few times, almost hitting the floor. Luckily, someone caught her just in time.

"Careful, babe. If you get hurt, we can't go abroad together." Dominic's voice was annoyingly cheerful. "Mr. Lawrence gave me more cash. Good times are waiting for us overseas."

"Dominic?" Lynda looked up, shocked, yanking her hand away like she'd touched something gross, wiping her arm where Dominic had touched. "What are you doing here!"

Dominic grinned, showing off his yellowed teeth. "You're my wife, I'm your husband. Where else would I be?"

He laughed, his beady eyes darting around Pine Ridge Gardens.

Then, he gave Lynda a thumbs-up. "Babe, is this your place? It's really nice, should sell for a good price."

Lynda's mind was spinning, her lips trembling. "What are you talking about! I'm not your wife! Are you nuts!"

She pointed at the door, her hand shaking. "Get out, get out of my house, you jerk! How dare you come here!"

Dominic, always laid-back, just laughed off Lynda's insults.

He flopped onto the sofa. "Babe, go make some food. I'm gonna nap and will need to eat when I wake up."

Lynda looked around frantically, her head swinging back and forth, but she couldn't find a knife or anything sharp.

She really wanted to kill this jerk Dominic!

With no weapon in sight, Lynda covered her ears, screamed, and stomped her feet.

She ran upstairs, dashed into the bedroom, locked the door, and grabbed her phone to call Sebastian.

Lynda knew this was Sebastian's way of punishing her. Only he could stop this.

But she called until her phone died, and Sebastian never picked up.

Lynda threw the phone onto the bed, collapsed onto it, and cried into her hands.

She was crying out of sheer anger; she was livid!

She didn't know how long she cried, but eventually, she cried herself to sleep.

"I know I was wrong, no, don't come over. No!!"

Lynda woke up to a sharp, painful scream. She grabbed the bedsheet and opened her eyes.

She thought, 'Is that Grace?'

Lynda blinked repeatedly. How could she hear Grace's voice?

Her scalp tingled, and she curled up, hugging her knees, burying her head between them, muttering, "It's a hallucination, it's a dream, it must be a dream."

Otherwise, how could she hear Grace's voice?

"Everything was Lynda's idea, she's the mastermind!!"

Another piercing scream, loud enough to tear one's throat.

Lynda immediately realized this was no hallucination! It was really Grace shouting!

She wondered, 'How could Grace be here?'

Lynda gathered her courage and ran downstairs barefoot.

Downstairs, Dominic was curled up on the sofa, snoring loudly. Lynda ignored him. She clutched her pounding heart and followed the sound of Grace's shouting, step by step.

Finally, she stopped at the basement door.

Lynda was breathing heavily, her shoulders rising and falling, trying to psych herself up.

She hadn't even touched the door when it swung open from the inside.

The person who opened it was hidden behind the door, giving Lynda a clear view of Grace in the middle of the basement.

Grace was running and crying, begging for mercy. "I was wrong, I'll never harm Isabella again, never again, I was wrong!"

Lynda's eyes followed Grace, barely recognizing her.

Her hair was a mess, and her face, not even thirty, looked like it had aged twenty years.

How did Grace end up like this?

Lynda stared in shock, unable to believe it.

She couldn't help but think, 'If Grace, who hurt Isabella, ended up like this, is this my fate too?'

"Don't come near me!"

Hearing this, Lynda felt her heart skip a beat, and she held her breath.

She saw Grace hiding in a corner, her back pressed tightly against the wall. But she had nowhere to go; no matter how hard she pressed against the wall, she couldn't pass through it.

She seemed to have given up hope, her eyes wide open, pupils dilated, and she collapsed weakly to the ground.

And on the ground, there were snakes!

Green snakes slithered towards Grace.

Lynda couldn't help but let out a scream.

She thought, 'Is Sebastian warning me? Or is he showing me that what Grace is going through will happen to me too?'

Lynda's legs went weak, and she stumbled backward, her eyes wide open, breathing heavily, shaking her head repeatedly. "No, it can't be, Sebastian wouldn't do this to me!"

But deep down, she knew the answer.

Yes, he would.

Sebastian had said he wouldn't punish her, but didn't he humiliate her at the wedding, destroying her years of hopes and dreams?

He had gotten her out of prison just to use even more ruthless means to torture her!

Lynda's heart was beating so fast it felt like it would burst. She was like a fish out of water, gasping for air, her face flushed, cold sweat pouring from her forehead, dripping down her cheeks.

She was so terrified she started hallucinating. She seemed to see snakes on the floor, crawling up her legs, slithering up to her face.

Lynda ran as fast as she could, desperately. She ran to the living room and saw Dominic slowly waking up. Without thinking, she threw herself into his arms.

She despised this poor bastard Dominic, but at least he was man. Being close to him meant there wouldn't be any snakes!

Dominic laughed. "Honey, feeling lonely?"

Lynda felt both fear and humiliation, a surge of unprecedented hatred rising in her heart.

She hated Sebastian, hated Isabella! She would make them both regret treating her this way!

Everything that happened today, Lynda would get her revenge!

She thought with determination, she swore it!

But she had no energy to think about how to get revenge. Dominic's breath on her face reminded her of the snakes in the basement, imagining them slithering on her face.
