Chapter 276 Tell Him Whether I'm a Man or Not
Isabella shook her head.
On the other hand, Marcus's face paled. "Having a baby? Are you pregnant?"
She nodded. "Yes."
She then continued, "So, we shouldn't continue to be involved with each other."
Marcus's face went white and he looked slightly worn out. However, his eyes were bright and determined as he replied, "Isabella, it's Sebastian, isn't it? He won't let you contact me, right?"
Mentioning this, he was agitated and grabbed her wrist again. "Isabella, he's not a good person. Just wait for me; I'm investigating something, and soon I'll show you what kind of devil he is!"
His words made Isabella's heart sink. At the same time, she was confused and uneasy as she asked, "What are you investigating? What does it have to do with me?"
Suddenly, a voice echoed. "What are you doing?"
A cold male voice cut through the air like a sharp knife, shattering the tranquility.
Isabella was startled hearing this. Sebastian's voice was light and soft, but it scared her deeply.
She immediately looked in the direction of the sound.
Sebastian was only wearing a white shirt, with a suit draped over his wrist. He looked lazy and calm, except for his dangerously-narrowed eyes.
He slowly said, "Wallace."
Isabella trembled, realizing that Marcus was holding her wrist. She bit her lip, trying to pull her hand away.
But Marcus, for some reason, tightened his grip even more.
As a woman, she had no chance of overpowering him.
She lowered her voice. "Marcus!"
He apologized softly and slowly let go, shielding her in front of Sebastian.
"Sebastian, you're bullying a woman and making her cry. What kind of man are you?"
Sebastian glanced at him, smirking while standing still. "Isabella, come here."
He exuded a sharp aura.
Isabella's scalp immediately tingled, her legs going weak. The calmer he seemed, the more afraid she was.
It was obvious they were about to fight.
She had no choice. She couldn't involve Marcus any further in her relationship with Sebastian, so the only thing she could do now was to walk to Sebastian.
"Isabella!" Marcus called out with red eyes, his voice soft and full of hurt.
Sebastian smiled, and waves rose in his black eyes. When Isabella approached him, he pulled her into his embrace.
He viciously gripped her waist, almost crushing her fragile figure.
However, he then lowered his head and softly asked in her ear, "Tell him, am I a man?"
His breath sprayed onto her cheeks, making her uncomfortable and wanting to dodge.
In the next second, he exerted more force as he bit her earlobe.
Isabella suddenly gasped for breath. If it were just them, this wouldn't be such a big deal.
But in the hospital with other people around, his actions were disrespectful; outright playing with her.
Isabella clenched her fists, repeatedly tormented by the shame of having her dignity stepped on.
"Don't play dumb, speak up!" Sebastian's voice got louder, cold and merciless. "Tell him!"
She shuddered, her face turning pale.
"Sebastian, you devil. Don't think I won't fight back!" Marcus's eyes were bloodshot as he took a few steps forward.
However, Sebastian didn't even bother as he kicked Marcus in the chest.
Marcus staggered back a few steps, unable to balance himself as he fell.
He was still a patient, his injuries not fully healed. The kick probably worsened his condition.
Isabella was startled. Before she could even look over, Sebastian grabbed her chin and forced her to his gaze. "Tell your ex-fiancé whether I'm a man, and whether I bring you pleasure."
His words were basically stripping her naked and humiliated under the sun.
Isabella felt as if someone was squeezing her heart, making it difficult to breathe.
She was so foolish and ignorant to have believed his lies. She truly deserved humiliation.
She didn't have the courage to look at him again, so she looked elsewhere.
Just her luck; as she looked away, she saw the lipstick mark on his shirt collar.
It was bright and glaring.
The mark gradually turned into Lynda's face, her arrogant and domineering appearance.
Isabella's heart was pierced, countless arrows stabbing it.
Just who did she provoke?
Why did she have to endure all of this, with no way of escaping?
She bit her lower lip heavily, not wanting Sebastian to see her turmoil and weakness.
'So, let's just act. Everyone has different faces to them.'
She opened her arms and hugged his waist, her cheek pressed against his chest. "Honey, you're truly amazing, but let's talk about our marital issues at home, okay?"
'Let's just continue acting.'
Isabella forced a smile. At least she wouldn't involve Marcus, and he'd completely give up on her.
Sebastian looked down, filled with anger and resentment. Her words didn't calm him down.
That scene just now deeply hurt him.
He coldly stared at the delicate person in his arms, expressionless as his Adam's apple rolled.
Isabella got away from his embrace, her expression back to normal. Then, she sniffled with a sad look. "I only like you, so don't be jealous, okay? Do I have to coax you?"
"I have nothing to do with Cooper. Just now, I came out from the outpatient clinic and couldn't handle the pressure there. I was crying by the bench, and he coincidentally saw me."
As Isabella acted weak and spoiled, she almost threw up.
But, was there any other way? Lynda's expertise in these things— more accurately, her expertise in Sebastian, was very useful.
"The outpatient clinic?" Sebastian frowned. "What happened to the baby?"
She sneered in her heart. She never mentioned it was a gynecology clinic, and it could've been a different type.
However, he only cared about the child.
What was wrong with her? What made her believe his confession?
"Well, it's suspected ectopic pregnancy," she truthfully answered. "However, I've checked and it's fine."
Sebastian's face changed drastically. He held her to his side and turned back to the gynecology clinic.
"No need to check further; the doctor already told me it was a false alarm," she quickly said. "Let's just go home. My head hurts and I want to rest for a while."
Sebastian stopped walking and looked down at her. "Really?"
Isabella instinctively wanted to keep the news of the twins a secret.
