Chapter 308 Arrange my divorce with Mr. Sebastian.
If she wanted an explanation, Sebastian would give it to her.
"She doesn't care and doesn't need it," Sebastian didn't want to recall those heart-wrenching facts, and said coolly, "Let's go. It's early, and it's tiring to roar a few times. I'll take you back."
Amber, who followed along, was highly concentrated and nervous throughout.
Looking at this situation, she quickly nodded repeatedly and said, "Yes, Grandpa, let's go. Let's talk at home. It's so unsightly to make a scene outside."
Edward, however, caught a glimpse of something from Sebastian's words.
He leaned on his cane and didn't move. "Make it clear. What do you mean by not needing it? You abandon Isabella and don't even plan to apologize?"
Sebastian didn't want to delve deeper into this issue. Every time it was brought up, he would be reminded of Isabella's trampling of his feelings.
He wouldn't speak of such embarrassing matters.
How could he, being so proud, sttop so low?
He simply said, "Grandpa, let's go back. The whole thing has nothing to do with Lynda. It's between Isabella and me."
"If you can't explain this matter today, no one is going anywhere! I will settle it with you today."
Neither of them gave in and faced off. Amber felt helpless; both of them were stubborn, and she didn't know who to advise.
After thinking for a moment, she gently tugged at Edward's arm and said, "Grandpa, let's go home first."
Edward also had a stubborn temper, and Amber's coaxing was of no use now. "No."
Sebastian frowned.
The atmosphere became even more tense than before, and at that moment, Lynda looked up and broke the silence. "Grandpa, I know you have misunderstandings about me and dislike me, but please don't force Sebastian. Isabella doesn't like him at all, so don't make trouble with him because of an outsider."
"Enough!" Sebastian interrupted Lynda's presumptuous words, clearly displeased. Lynda, with red eyes, appeared to be considering Sebastian's well-being as she continued speaking to Edward, "Grandpa, I'm telling you the absolute truth. Sebastian is such a good person. Why should he be with a woman who doesn't love him..."
Sebastian, still suffering from a hangover, had been annoyed with her. "That's enough," he said. His tone and expression both showed his displeasure.
"Let's go, I'll take you back." Sebastian furrowed his brow and held onto Edward's arm.
Unexpectedly, Edward, who had been standing still, brushed Sebastian's hand away and turned to Lynda with a cold face. "How do you know? How can you be so sure? It must be all your doing, causing all this trouble. I'm begging you, don't meddle in our family affairs anymore. If you want money or anything else, just say it."
Edward had always cared for the younger generation, especially the girls from prestigious families, but he had a particularly bad impression of Lynda.
After all, he had lived for over seventy years and had seen through many people.
"Edward..." Lynda choked up and said, "I didn't do it. Isabella said it herself."
Edward was furious. He could see clearly that Lynda's repeated denials were just a clever way to sow discord.
He couldn't control his anger and raised his cane, about to strike Lynda on the shoulder.
"Grandpa!" Sebastian quickly stepped in front of Lynda and shielded her from the blow.
However, the cane hit the same spot where Sebastian had been struck earlier, causing him considerable pain. Despite the double dose of pain, he remained composed.
Amber felt a pang of heartache. After all, he was her brother.
"Sebastian!" she was about to step forward, but Edward stopped her. "No need to bother with him! He is strong, and a couple of hits won't hurt him. He deserves it!"
Then, Edward pointed his cane at Sebastian, trembling with anger. "And you, how could you be so blinded by Lynda and lose your mind!"
Sebastian remained calm and said, "I've said it before, it has nothing to do with Lynda."
Isabella emerged from the bathroom and returned, only to witness the scene.
She saw Sebastian shielding Lynda from the cane. His resolute and protective actions revealed his deep concern and affection.
They were truly a devoted couple.
Isabella sneered with disdain.
Coincidentally, Sebastian caught her mocking expression.
They locked eyes through the window, with Edward and Amber in between, their gazes meeting from a distance.
Isabella shivered under Sebastian's icy stare. Unable to bear it, she looked away first and walked over.
As soon as Amber noticed her, she eagerly called out, "Isabella!"
Isabella smiled faintly and took the initiative to support Edward, saying, "Grandpa."
Edward, showing some favor to Isabella, patted her hand gently and said, "Isabella, my dear, don't be afraid. With me around, Sebastian will have to listen to me."
Isabella felt grateful for Edward's kindness toward her. She thought that even if she divorced, she would still treat him as her grandfather.
However, there was a difference between gratitude and love. Isabella had to consider her situation. This opportunity was rare. She said, "Grandpa, today all three of us are here. I would like to ask for your help."
Everyone present understood what Isabella was about to say. Edward and Amber immediately frowned, while Sebastian tightly gripped Isabella's wrist, almost crushing it.
Only Lynda's eyes flickered with a hint of joy.
Enduring the pain in her wrist, Isabella continued, "Grandpa, Sebastian and Lynda truly love each other. I don't want to be an obstacle in their relationship anymore. Please help me, arrange a divorce between Sebastian and me, and let me go."
"Also, don't let Mr. Sebastian endure the pressure of an extramarital affair and stay in this shabby hotel with his true love."
As soon as the word "divorce" left Isabella's lips, her heart ached and went numb, and Sebastian's grip on her arm became unbearable. She did not doubt that Sebastian now wanted to tear her up.
Well, it was her fault for messing up his plan.
Her existence was solely for bearing children for him and ensuring Lynda's smooth marriage into the Lawrence family.
But now, not only did she fail to clear Lynda's reputation, but she also made Lynda the third party, escalating the conflict within the Lawrence family.
It was understandable that he was angry.
However, was Isabella wrong? No, she wasn't.
Sebastian had been too oppressive, and she was just fighting back.
"And Grandpa, rest assured. I will leave with nothing, not even the child."
