Chapter 204 Isabella, We're Having a Baby

He had never been so happy before; it was rare to see him smile genuinely!
Hearing her say that she was dizzy, Sebastian finally stopped and carefully put her down.
His movements were gentle... as if she were some fragile treasure.
"Isabella, we're having a baby; you're carrying my child. All these days of effort, they weren't in vain..." He bowed his head, kissing her forehead, "You've worked hard."
"You're so happy..."
"Of course!" Sebastian answered, "Our child, if it's a girl, will definitely look like you. Eyes like yours, nose like yours, she would be a replica of you; how cute."
Seeing his joy, Isabella just tugged at the corner of her mouth.
She really wanted to ask, ‘Now that she was finally pregnant... Sebastian, the day you marry Lynda, is a big step closer, right?’
But after thinking about it, she said nothing and just watched Sebastian with a slight smile.
After the initial excitement, Sebastian gradually calmed down.
He let go of Isabella, pacing in front of her like a spinning top, muttering to himself, but loud enough for Isabella to hear clearly.
"This news... I must tell Grandpa; he will be very happy. He's been hoping for a great-grandchild for many years; it's his wish."
"Also, the child needs a name. We're not sure if it's a boy or a girl now, but we need to choose a name. We need to arrange it as soon as possible, so it's easier to pick when the time comes."
"Baby clothes, diapers, toys, milk powder, etc. should be prepared."
"Prenatal check-ups... yes, these checks need to be done; we can't miss any."
Isabella was taken aback.
She reached out to stop him, "Can you calm down a bit?"
Sebastian stopped and looked at her, "Did I miss anything? If you think of something, remind me right away."
Isabella felt helpless. "Stop pacing around; I'm getting dizzy watching you."
"Okay, okay." He immediately agreed, "I won't move; is that okay?"
Sebastian acting like this, was really super, super rare.
Just now, he was like a well-behaved elementary school student, the kind who would obediently put their hands on the desk during class.
Isabella wanted to laugh, but held it in.
She looked at him, "Don't tell the Lawrence family yet. Wait until we go to the hospital for further checks and confirm it, then say it. I'm afraid in case..."
"There's no 'in case'." Sebastian's face immediately became serious, "There won't be any mistakes."
"At-home pregnancy tests sometimes make mistakes."
"Then, let's go to the hospital now." He said, "Arrange for a check-up immediately; the results will be out soon."
"It's night now..."
Sebastian frowned, "The Lawrence Group has private hospitals, let Kaine arrange it immediately."
"We can just go tomorrow."
"Okay." Once Isabella said this, Sebastian also nodded in agreement, "As you say."
It has to be said, this Sebastian... looked a bit cute.
Not only did he talk a lot, but he was also restless, nothing like his calm and composed demeanor during meetings.
First-time fathers... were all like this, Isabella thought.
Sebastian's joy was not because of her but for this child.
If she still had any hope for Sebastian, then she really was a big fool.
Perhaps noticing Isabella's calmness, the smile on Sebastian's face gradually faded, leaving just a trace. "Isabella, aren't you happy?"
"Happy, very happy." She answered, "I finally have a precise time for the day I leave you."
Isabella's words completely wiped the smile off Sebastian's face.
She just continued on her own, "I will take good care of myself and cooperate with all the checks. Although I can't take this child with me and only have the right to visit, this child is still a part of me, and I value and love him or her more than anyone else."
"You've already... planned it all."
"Yes, people always have to plan for themselves." Isabella answered, "In this deal, I've done what I had to do... it was a pleasure working with you, Sebastian."
Every word she said was like a jab to his heart.
He didn't answer her.
Isabella glanced at the clock. "It's late; I'm going to rest. We'll go to the hospital first thing in the morning."
Without waiting for Sebastian's reply, she went upstairs.
Silence followed her.
Isabella's steps didn't falter, and she restrained herself from looking back.
After watching her disappear from his sight, Sebastian turned around, paused for a few seconds, and then walked out briskly.
The sound of the car starting echoed through Willowbrook Estate.
Isabella stood by the window, watching the car drive away until it disappeared.
Where was he going so late?
He must be going to find Lynda. He must want to share the good news of her pregnancy with Lynda.
Because this way, the possibility of Sebastian and Lynda being together was even greater.
Isabella stood in front of the mirror, looking at her own cheeks.
Even at this moment, there were still clearly visible bright red marks on her skin.
It was easy to imagine how hard that slap was...
It also shattered all her expectations.
Isabella raised her hand to touch her cheek, laughed, silently picked up a towel, and applied it to her face.
A sports car roared through the streets in the middle of the night, flashing by.
Finally, the car stopped in front of a small garden house.
Sebastian got out of the car and strode in.
Hearing the noise, the servant hurried over to greet him, "Mr. Lawrence, you're here... at this hour, Miss Lynda has already gone to bed. But she would be thrilled if she knew you came to see her."
"She's sleeping?"
"Yes."
Sebastian's face was grim; he went straight upstairs, leaving one sentence behind. "No one is allowed upstairs."
"Yes... yes, Mr. Lawrence."
Sebastian gently pushed open the door of the master bedroom. It was pitch-dark inside; he found the light switch and pressed it.
The room was now brightly lit and slightly dazzling. Lynda, who was sleeping on the big bed, also stirred.
"Sebastian?" She drowsily half sat up, and when she saw the person at the door, she perked up, "It's you. I just dreamt about you. I didn't expect to see you when I woke up."
Sebastian walked in without a word.
Lynda got out of bed and, wearing her pajamas, stood in front of him. "Why did you come over at this time? What's wrong? You seem... not very happy."
"You know very well why I'm here, Lynda."
"What are you talking about, Sebastian..." Lynda replied, "I don't understand."
She was a bit panicked inside, but still tried her best to remain calm.
