Chapter 312 Was It Fun to Torture Me Like This?

Isabella was so angry that her chest hurt, and she pulled her hand away. "Sebastian! Is it fun to torture me like this?"

"It is," Sebastian affirmed. "The more you suffer, the more satisfied I feel, and the more interesting it becomes."

Isabella breathed heavily, her teeth grinding loudly. This jerk!

She raised her hand high, but Sebastian easily subdued her with his hand.

He looked at her disdainfully and said, "Isabella, you can't turn the tables. The moment you decided to deceive me, you sealed your fate for today. Blame your incompetence and futile resistance. You are no match for me, understand? You are doomed to be tortured by me."

Isabella screamed in her mind, her face turning red with anger. She clenched her teeth and glared at Sebastian, wishing she could bite him to death.

She had never felt so small and been so frustrated for being powerless.

She wished she could instantly become a powerful and capable woman, someone extraordinary, and then crush Sebastian under her feet.

This jerk!

"If you want to curse, go ahead," Sebastian said with a cold face, his lips curling in a mocking smile. "Don't hold back or pretend anymore. I've seen enough of your hypocrisy. Say whatever you want."

"You disgusting bastard!" Since Sebastian allowed her to curse, Isabella had no reason to hold back and swallow her pride!

At this point, they had already torn each other apart, so she spoke her thought, "I will become very powerful sooner or later, and I won't forget a single thing you did to bully me!"

A cold snort escaped Sebastian's nostrils.

Sebastian seemed to find something amusing. As he glanced at Isabella's furious face, he coldly asked, "You?"

"Yes! Me!" Isabella raised her chin defiantly.

Sebastian remained silent and chuckled.

Isabella sensed mockery on his face. She couldn't quite make it out, but she was certain that Sebastian looked down on her.

Would such a proud man fall in love with a woman he looked down upon?

The answer was never.

If she hadn't seen Sebastian anxiously bring Lynda to the hospital not long ago, she would have believed that he truly loved her.

Fortunately, she didn't believe it.

Isabella's heart ached, and the pain resurfaced and numbed her.

At the same time, she felt a sense of relief.

She suddenly burst into laughter.

Sebastian couldn't stand seeing Isabella laugh. In his eyes, she had to share his pain.

Even if he felt sorry for her, she still had to suffer.

It was better for both of them to endure this torment than for him to suffer alone.

"Very well, you're laughing, keep it up, and don't show your true colors in front of Nancy," Sebastian said as he pulled Isabella into his arms, held her waist, and walked toward the entrance of the nursing home.

Isabella forced a tired smile.

She was like a puppet, with Sebastian as the puppeteer. She desperately wanted to cut the strings, but she was too weak.

What a tragic reality. When would she be able to escape from Sebastian's control?

When Isabella and Sebastian knocked on the door of Nancy's ward, a nurse was giving her a shoulder massage.

Nancy immediately smiled and said, "I guess it's my Isabella who has come."

The nurse smiled and said, "I'll open the door."

Outside the room, Isabella composed herself.

She dared not show any hint of pain in front of Nancy.

Since no one would disturb Nancy in the nursing home, why would she make her sad?

She couldn't divorce, so just let Nancy believe that she was living happily.

Isabella pursed her lips, relaxed her stiff expression, and then put on a smile.

Sebastian looked down at her, his face slightly cool. "Has anyone ever told you that you're a good actress?"

Isabella maintained the upward curve of her lips. "No, thank you for the compliment."

Sebastian's dark eyes were icy, and he wished he could destroy that fake smile.

At that moment, the door opened from the inside.

"Mr. Sebastian, Ms. Isabella," the nurse greeted and stepped aside.

Isabella smiled and nodded.

She walked into the room without paying attention to Sebastian and affectionately sat by Nancy's bed. "Grandma, I miss you so much."

Sebastian didn't enter directly. He asked the nurse about Nancy's condition, and she answered one by one.

Upon hearing the voices, Nancy asked, "Is Sebastian here too?"

As people grew older, they always enjoyed having a full house of children and grandchildren surrounding them.

Nancy was no exception. When she mentioned Sebastian, her smile became even brighter.

Isabella didn't want Nancy to be deceived by Sebastian's superficial appearance, but she couldn't expose him.

"Yes," she replied vaguely.

At that moment, Sebastian finished talking to the nurse and walked in with politeness and nobility.

He had somehow managed to get a bouquet and a few gift boxes, which he placed on the table next to Nancy. He smiled politely and said, "Grandma, I'm sorry for coming so early and disturbing you."

Isabella couldn't help but roll her eyes. He was really good at putting on a show.

Indeed, Nancy was delighted by his sweet talk. "Thank you for your gifts. No need to apologize. I'm happy that you and Isabella visited me,."

Sebastian walked over to Isabella, naturally embraced her shoulder, and whispered, "Did you tell Nancy the good news?"

His warm breath sprayed on her face, seeping into every pore. Isabella felt uncomfortable. She wanted to struggle, but Sebastian held her tighter.

Nancy had always worried that Isabella would be unhappy due to the difference in status between her and Sebastian.

Now, as she saw they were so affectionate, her long-held worries slowly dissipated.

When Nancy smiled, her crow's feet gathered together. She looked at Sebastian and then at Isabella, saying, "What are you two whispering about? What good news? Tell me."

"Grandma." Isabella knew she couldn't hide the pregnancy from Nancy. She had to tell her sooner or later. "I'm pregnant."

Looking at Nancy's stunned expression, Isabella smiled genuinely. Her eyes rippled with joy, making her look as cute as a little fox. "You're going to have a great-grandchild."

Nancy widened her eyes in disbelief. "Pregnant? A great-grandchild?"

Isabella nodded vigorously. "Yes, it's true."

Nancy looked at Sebastian with questioning eyes.

Sebastian patted Isabella's head. "Yes, Frandma, you heard it right."

"Good, good!" Nancy said twice, unable to contain her joy, and she laughed heartily.

She kept patting Isabella's hand, feeling very relieved. But not long after, amid her laughter, she suddenly sniffed, turned her back, and discreetly wiped away her tears.

"Grandma?" Isabella was puzzled and worried. "Why are you crying?"

Nancy turned around, waved her hand, wiped away her tears, and forced a smile.
