Chapter 258 What Should I Do with You?

But the drug fully settled in, leaving her legs weak and her vision doubled and shaking.

She had barely taken a few steps when she felt light on her feet as Sebastian picked her up.

"Put me down, Sebastian. I can manage on my own," she whispered, trying to lower her voice.

She was scared of being seen, not wanting to be labeled the other woman again. Although she was worried about him, she knew she couldn't get too close to him.

In her current situation, she especially shouldn't be in the same space as him.

With his gaze fixed ahead, Sebastian walked with a calm and steady stride. "My place is a mess with nowhere to sleep. I've taken you in before, so naturally, you should take me in," he said, his breath misting onto Isabella's cheek. The faint smell of tobacco from him enveloped her, making her feel like she was heating up under intense steam.

"Besides, are you sure you can manage alone right now?" he asked meaningfully.

The tension in Isabella's mind instantly snapped.

Her vision fogged, her mouth drier than before. Her limbs went limp, letting Sebastian hold her.

His body was refreshingly cool; deep down, she wanted to snuggle into his embrace.

However, she told herself to resist.

With curled toes, she closed her eyes and bit her lip hard.

Sebastian opened the door and laid her on the bed, "I'll run a bath."

Isabella didn't respond, gripping the blanket and now biting her tongue.

Noticing something was wrong, he pinched her chin and said, "Stop that!"

However, she didn't release, faint blood visible at her mouth corners.

With a stern look, he leaned down and kissed her, prying her teeth apart and stopping her from biting further.

The kiss slowly changed in nature, with him tasting sweetness and delving deeper.

Isabella's resistance was futile against his advances; only sunk further.

This shouldn't be happening!

She knew her body didn't allow for any defiance.

It experienced relief albeit her heart suffered intense condemnation.

Amid the pleasure, there was significant pain.

Sebastian was lost in their connection, feeling a soul-deep alignment with just one kiss.

It was only Isabella's struggling breath that made him let go.

Once released, she lay in the bed, a small figure huddled under the blanket.

With closed eyes and a few tars forming, she looked vulnerable as her swollen lips slightly quivered.

Struggling to muster strength, Isabella said, "Don't touch me, Sebastian. We already had an agreement… I don't want to be the other woman, so don’t touch me; I can manage on my own."

Sebastian's smile vanished, his fists clenching tightly at his sides. A sharp pain cut through his chest, intense and harsh. He never felt such pain before; never.

He never felt like this for anyone else.

Only Isabella...

Only she could stir him up like this.

This feeling was deeper and more profound than mere liking.

Not even Lynda could evoke this in him.

It was... it was...

His hands trembled as he bolted away and muttering, "I need to run the water."

Isabella was sweating profusely. She was in severe discomfort, with no energy to be concerned over with Sebastian's emotions.

By the time he left the bathroom, she passed out with a low moan escaping her lips.

Sebastian walked over and gently picked her up. Her body was damp, as if she had been just pulled out of the water with pale lips.

She was rarely seen in such an exhausted state.

A pang struck Sebastian's heart; he knew he was distressed over Isabella.

This distress was even strong enough to suppress his primal male desires.

The Isabella of the moment resembled a delicate porcelain doll; he couldn’t be reckless with her. He carefully removed her T-shirt, gently placing her into the bathtub.

She was pregnant, and they were in a mountainous area, so he had to rely on simple physical methods to counteract the drug’s effects.

This required him to constantly monitor the water temperature; it couldn't be too low or too high but had to be just right at all times.

Sebastian had never performed such a caring role, but he found it anything but exhausting when it came to Isabella.

After half an hour, she couldn't stay in the water any longer. He lifted her out and placed her onto the large bed.

Fortunately, she was mostly recovered, not as hot to the touch as before.

Sebastian called room service for cotton swabs and iodine. He then lifted her chin, and carefully treated her lip wound.

She had bitten herself hard, leaving wounds on her lip, inside her mouth, and on her tongue.

Sebastian's brows furrowed, anger rising within him.

Taking her hand, he carefully straightened out her fingers and, as anticipated, found wounds in her palms too.

The intense urge to protect and seek vengeance broke through its confines, casting a chilling look in his eyes.

After carefully treating her wounds, he cradled her hands in his as he closed his eyes, softly kissing the back of her hand.

He had seen Joshua do this to Brittany, and he saw Jarod display similar affection. It wasn't foreign to him, yet it wasn't familiar as he had never done it before.

He had given Isabella too many firsts, some were good, while some were… Questionable.

If he loved her, how could he do so many excessive things?

He lowered his voice, "Isabella, what's wrong with me? How should I treat you...?"

His voice was hoarse, filled with immense confusion.

The room was silent, with no one to answer him.

Sebastian didn't think any longer; he tucked her in, got up, walked to the balcony to make a call, "You'll handle the follow-up; make sure the next Thomas doesn't end up like today."

A voice brimming with respect came from the other end, "Yes, Mr. Lawrence. I’ll do as you say without fail."

The dense clouds above flashed by instantly, just like the Y city branch.

When Isabella woke up again, she found herself in a car.

She felt like she had slept for an exceptionally long time, waking up time-to-time only to be weighed down by drowsiness, which left her exhausted.

Propping herself up, she looked outside and rubbed her eyes. Was this the capital city?

‘What sort of pig are you, Isabella? How could you sleep for so long?’

She criticized herself internally.

"Yes, I'm back in the capital city. Once I'm done with work, I'll come to see you," Beside her, Sebastian spoke into the phone with a clear voice.

Such gentleness could only be meant for Lynda.

Isabella listened without pain as strong as before. Perhaps she was numb from hearing it too often, or maybe she had come to accept the reality. This time, she was actually quite satisfied; even though she still loved Sebastian, she really stopped demanding his affection.

She believed her feelings would disappear soon enough.

"You’re awake?" Sebastian put his phone away. "Do you feel any discomfort?"

She shook her head, "I'm fine now."
