Chapter 228 Dealing with Grace, What About Lynda?

Isabella was at a loss; she didn’t understand what Grace was saying.
The only thing she could confirm was that Grace had admitted to hiring the attackers.
She admitted it? She actually admitted it!
Isabella didn't know what was going on but this alone was enough. The wicked woman was caught; she had confessed herself!
Sebastian drove out of the garage and stopped in front of Isabella.
Isabella opened the car door, excitedly saying, "Sebastian, come out. Grace admitted to hiring people to hurt me; I'm not lying to you!"
He replied indifferently, "Get in the car and sit down. It's not good for you to get too emotional during pregnancy."
Sebastian's face showed no sign of surprise; he seemed to have known it all along. He was in control of the situation.
His calm demeanor also made Isabella slowly calm down.
"You knew?" Although it was a question, it was more of an affirmation.
"Yes."
Isabella sat in the passenger seat, closed the car door, and turned her head to look at Sebastian, "You must have done something; Grace wouldn't have come to beg for nothing. She's not begging me; she's begging you."
"Since she's come to us, you decide what to do."
As Sebastian finished speaking, the bodyguards brought Grace to the car window. She was shouting outside the car, but Isabella couldn't hear anything.
Isabella couldn't wrap her head around it.
She had been racking her brain for so many days, trying to find a way to bypass Sebastian and get Grace and Lynda caught.
She never thought it would be him who would make the move in the end.
She wasn't foolish enough to ask Sebastian. Sebastian had a strong desire for control, and a strong rationality, nothing could be hidden from him.
The problem was, why did Sebastian help her?
Grace was connected with Lynda; it would definitely involve Lynda.
Isabella held her skirt tightly, held her breath, and asked him, "Why? You could have hidden it. It would be easy for you to hide something, and I wouldn't be able to find out the truth."
"Isabella," Sebastian pinched Isabella's chin, pulling their faces closer together.
His deep-sea-like eyes locked onto hers, "My wife should not concern herself with other men."
She muttered, "It's because you don't want me to have anything to do with Marcus?"
"Correct. I'm dealing with this for you, not for Marcus. And you're investigating this for yourself, but also for Marcus. So, even if you don't need my help, I must handle this myself."
"Isabella, you belong to me alone; your attention can only be on me."
Every word of Sebastian's was firm and domineering, each one was instilled into Isabella's mind.
Isabella seemed to be able to hear her own heartbeat; her exhaled breath was burning hot.
She pulled back her chin, sat up straight, and looked forward, "You’ve dealt with Grace, but what about... Lynda? We all know that Lynda is the real mastermind."
One second, two seconds, three seconds... thirty seconds...
"If she's wrong, she's wrong. If there's solid evidence that she really did it, I'll make her apologize."
Even though Sebastian already knew that Lynda was involved, there was a lack of evidence.
And... he wanted to protect Lynda because her health was poor. If she fell ill, it would be troublesome.
He had been neglecting her recently, so she wanted to win him back. That was why she did this.
She was wrong but it wasn’t unforgivable.
But... Isabella thought differently.
How could an apology be enough?!
Isabella wanted to say something but heard Sebastian continue to say, "Deal with Grace."
The car window slowly rolled down, and Grace's crying and shouting pierced their ears.
Isabella looked at her crying and shouting in a mess, paused for a moment, and gently asked, "Grace, did Lynda tell you to hire the attacker? Tell the truth, and I'll spare you."
"Yes, yes, yes! it's her; it was all her, please spare me." As soon as Grace heard this, she immediately responded, without any hesitation or thought.
Isabella looked back at Sebastian, her eyes shining, "Did you hear that? She said Lynda was also involved."
There was no evidence, but there was a witness.
"Isabella." Sebastian spoke firmly, "In such a situation, anyone would say anything for mercy, this method won't work."
Isabella's expression slowly faded.
This kind of face-to-face questioning must seem very clumsy in Sebastian's eyes.
Grace, in order to protect herself, would say anything to get away with this.
But in the end, it was just that Sebastian was always on Lynda's side.
Isabella was too eager to punish Lynda.
But she forgot who Lynda was; she was Sebastian's true love. Sebastian wouldn't allow Lynda to be convicted so lightly.
But what other way was there?
She had to admit, Lynda was very clever. Now was not the time for her to be greedy; she would deal with them one at a time.
First, she would deal with Grace.
As long as Lynda did it, she would eventually show her true colors.
Moreover, would Lynda let her ally go to jail? Would Grace bear the consequences alone?
Isabella took a deep breath; she was waiting to see how this drama would play out.
She turned her gaze back to Grace.
"Grace, Marcus' life hangs in the balance. That's a human life. What right do you have to beg for mercy? You should face the law's punishment."
"As for your father, if he is innocent, he has nothing to fear. No one can trouble him if he's done nothing wrong."
Isabella stopped agonizing, "I won't do anything to you. The wicked will receive their just deserts. Just wait for the police to knock on your door. Justice is inevitable; you can't escape it."
Having said that, she rolled up the car window, "Let's go. We're going to be late for work."
The name Marcus was too jarring. Sebastian didn't say a word and drove away from Willowbrook Estate.
No matter how much Grace screamed, it was useless.
She didn't expect Isabella to be so ruthless, not sparing her or the Turner family.
What could she do? Wait for the Turner family's downfall and for her arrest?
She believed that soon, the news of her hiring goons who harmed Marcus would spread far and wide. She would be arrested before long.
Grace struggled like a madwoman and broke free from the bodyguards’ clutches.
After running out of Willowbrook Estate, a new idea suddenly occurred to her.
What if she went to the hospital and begged the Cooper Family for forgiveness and asked Lynda to force Sebastian to spare the Turner family?
Grace laughed out loud.
It was a wild idea, but she was at her wit's end; she had to try anything to see if it would work.
The hospital.
Grace rushed over.
Catching her breath, she immediately ran in. The cab she had taken turned around and drove off.
A few minutes later, a luxury car rolled over the spot where the taxi had previously parked and came to a steady halt in the hospital parking lot.
All the way, Isabella was surprised, wondering where Sebastian was taking her. He was not in a good mood, so she didn't ask him, thinking that there would be a destination, and she would find out sooner or later.
Now that they've arrived at the destination, her confusion only deepened, "Hospital? Why are we at the hospital? Are you feeling unwell?"
