Chapter 341 Loving Your Husband

He decided to give the Cooper family another warning to let them know that there were things that could be said and things that could not be said.

Isabella was off-limits for them.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, Sebastian went to the study to arrange this matter after having dinner with Isabella.

Isabella was in a good mood. After freshening up, she was about to lie down to rest when a thought suddenly flashed through her mind.

With a slight pursing of her lips, she got up and went downstairs.

Seeing Isabella coming downstairs, the butler hurriedly greeted her, "Madam."

The butler was on edge. When Isabella was about to go out at noon, things were so tense. Who could have thought that after the afternoon passed, the couple miraculously reconciled?

Looking at their current demeanor, they seemed sweeter than ever before. They were very affectionate even when they were having a simpe dinner.

The change was too drastic, making the butler feel unreal as if something else was waiting for him.

So, when Isabella went upstairs and then downstairs again, approaching him directly, the butler's back chilled. He felt nervous and trembled as he spoke.

Isabella has always been clear-headed. It was all part of her job responsibilities, so she didn't need to make things difficult.

She said, "There's no need to bring up what happened before. I don't mind. I've let it go."

"You are just too kind." the butler was deeply moved.

"Don't flatter me," Isabella said, "I want to ask you, besides telling Sebastian that I ran away, did you tell him that I threatened you with a knife?"

The butler truthfully replied, "Madam, at that time, I, I was planning to tell him, but Mr. Lawrence hung up the phone after hearing you say you ran away. So, as it stands now, he still doesn't know."

If Sebastian had found out, he would definitely mention it. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Then there's no need to tell him." Isabella didn't want him to worry.

In the afternoon, her impulsive act of crossing the street made him very angry. If he found out that she used a knife to go out, who knew how he would deal with her?

After speaking, Isabella walked towards the guest room on the first floor. She wanted to see how it was prepared for Sebastian's birthday.

The butler seemed to understand her intentions and followed her.

Isabella glanced at the butler. "Don't follow me. Go about your business."

The butler was a bit conflicted, wanting to speak but hesitating. Isabella looked at the butler's expression and vaguely guessed something.

However, she still walked towards the guest room, turned the doorknob, and found it locked, unable to open it.

"It must have been ruined," Isabella felt a bit sorry, "I spent so much time decorating it; what a shame."

The butler obviously didn't expect Isabella to say that.

He no longer concealed his feelings, sighed, and quickly explained, "Madam, I don't know what misunderstanding you had with Mr. Lawrence recently, but destroying the room you carefully decorated must have been painful for Mr. Lawrence."

"That day, Mr. Lawrence hurried back, looking very bad. After destroying the bedroom's decorations, he seemed extremely lonely and fragile."

Recalling the scene from that day, the butler sighed, "I've been at Willowbrook Estate for so many years. It's the first time I've seen Mr. Lawrence show such an expression. I can clearly tell that you are irreplaceable for Mr. Lawrence. Don't blame him."

Isabella seemed to immerse herself in the past as if tiny silver needles were pricking her heart.

After a long time, Isabella softly said, "I don't blame him."

How could she blame him? She just felt worried about her husband, her love.

Looking at the closed door for a while, Isabella finally looked away. "Don't tell him about this; just pretend I don't know. You should rest early."

After saying this, Isabella wanted to go upstairs.

However, as she turned around, she saw Sebastian standing under the light at the end of the corridor, looking at her with gentle eyes.

Isabella's heart raced, her eyes shining with light. He was her everything.

She pursed her lips, took a few quick steps, came to Sebastian, hugged his neck, and nestled in his arms.

Embracing tightly, she said emotionally, "I will always be with you, to comfort you, to soothe your wounds. The absence of a birthday gift is insignificant, for there are a thousand other gifts that abound."

Sebastian listened to Isabella's words again, and at this moment, he was deeply moved, as if a spring breeze had passed through his heart.

He stared at Isabella's fair and delicate neck, holding her tightly in his arms.

After a moment, he hoarsely asked, "About the knife, what happened?"

Two hearts beating as one, racing faster and faster. Upon hearing Sebastian's words, Isabella's heart seemed to skip a beat.

She pushed Sebastian away, laughing nervously, "Nothing, really; let's go upstairs; it's time to rest."

Sebastian's gaze, unwavering, passed over her to the butler. The butler trembled in fear, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead.

"Alright." Isabella took Sebastian's hand and went upstairs. "I used it as a threat to force them to let me out. It was all just for show. Don't worry."

Sebastian could tell it was Isabella's way of comforting him.

He was taken aback, his pupils constricting, his steps heavy as if burdened with a heavy weight.

Entering the bedroom, he pushed Isabella against the door, took off her coat, and pulled off the straps of her nightgown directly.

Isabella was puzzled. "What are you doing?"

He was so direct. Were they already a long-married couple?

Isabella covered her chest like a startled little pet, her watery eyes blinking incessantly.

"It's nothing, really nothing. I didn't lie to you. I really didn't. I promise!"

Sebastian didn't make things difficult for her, only his blue eyes gazing steadily at Isabella. He didn't pretend, releasing the confusion in his eyes and conveying his emotions to Isabella.

"It's all my fault." Sebastian lowered his voice, rubbed Isabella's head, then pressed his hands on her shoulders. He bent down, and kissed the back of Isabella's hand.

Isabella clasped her hands over the wound on her chest.

Sebastian's kiss landed on her hand, seeping into the superficial wound on her skin, gradually eroding her heart. It felt as if Sebastian was kissing her heart.

This gentle, desire-free kiss lightly touched Isabella's heart.

Isabella felt as if she were immersed in a honey jar, her heart wrapped in a layer of sweet and protective sugar, making her braver and more fearless.

Isabella adjusted her straps, freed her hands, and held Sebastian's face. "Sebastian, don't be afraid; I won't do anything foolish; I will take care of myself."
