Chapter 366 Isabella, I'm here

Sebastian, usually fearless, felt his legs go weak. He took long strides, holding his breath, eyes red, and caught up.

"Sebastian, you're here! Isabella's in trouble," Lynda called out as he brushed past her, trying to grab his wrist. He shook her off without a second thought.

Lynda's hand grasped at nothing.

Sebastian didn't even glance her way; all his focus was on Isabella.

Lynda stood still, glaring hatefully at his frantic back.

Her nails dug deep into her palms.

"Sebastian, why don't you get it? The more you care about that bitch Isabella, the more I hate her," she thought, lowering her head to hide her growing hatred.

Sebastian followed all the way to the operating room, clutching Isabella's cold hand.

Her hand was so cold it felt like a block of ice in winter. Sebastian held it, feeling a deep chill in his heart.

"Isabella, I'm here," he said, his voice trembling and hoarse. "Don't be afraid, I'm with you."

"Family members must stop here," a nurse said, stopping him. "Sir, please wait outside the operating room."

Sebastian refused to let go of Isabella's hand, his eyes narrowing into slits.

He had just finished a meeting and still wore gold-rimmed glasses, but the lenses couldn't hide the dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Get out of my way," Sebastian growled, his voice cold and ruthless.

At that moment, he was like a primal beast, ready to tear the nurse apart if she defied him.

"Mr. Lawrence." Daniel Taylor rushed over, knowing the hospital had investments from the Lawrence Group. "We'll do everything we can to save Mrs. Lawrence."

"I understand you're worried, but you can't go in. You'll hinder the rescue."

Sebastian knew this, but he was just scared.

He swallowed hard, took two deep breaths, and let go of Isabella's hand.

Immediately, Isabella disappeared from his sight.

A heavy door separated them.

He was outside the operating room, and she was inside.

Sebastian had been to the hospital many times, and it was always bad news.

Moore died in the hospital.

Joshua was diagnosed with only six months to live in the hospital.

Now, his wife and baby were in the cold operating room.

Sebastian stood rigidly, arms numb, legs heavy, his heartbeat slowing after a rapid pace.

Lynda stood at the corridor corner, staring coldly at him.

Seeing Sebastian distressed and losing his composure over Isabella, Lynda couldn't help but curse Isabella and the baby in her heart.

Taking a deep breath, Lynda rubbed her eyes, squeezed out a few tears, and walked towards Sebastian.

"Sebastian," she said, tugging at his arm, looking up. "Ms Wallace will be fine."

Sebastian felt the warmth on his arm, frowned, and indifferently pulled his hand away. This small action shocked Lynda deeply.

Sebastian was starting to reject her touch?!

Isabella was way out of line!

Lynda bit her lower lip, lowered her head, and struggled to hide her anger and hatred.

But then, Sebastian grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up.

His gaze was deep, his pupils dark, like a vast and unfathomable starry sea, making it impossible to read his thoughts.

"Sebastian." Lynda's breath hitched, blinking rapidly. "What's wrong?"

Her voice carried a perfect sobbing tone.

"Tell me," Sebastian said calmly, "Did you have anything to do with what happened today?"

"Sebastian, are you questioning me?" Lynda cried, tears streaming down like a fountain, looking extremely wronged.

For various reasons, including Lynda's health, Sebastian had always considered her important. Seeing her cry like this moved him.

Usually, he would let her go, but not today.

How could it be such a coincidence that Isabella was in trouble and Lynda was right there?

Past events made Sebastian suspicious.

He was used to taking control, and no one could defy him, repeatedly pushing her luck.

"Answer my question." Sebastian stared into Lynda's tearful eyes, leaving no room for argument.

Lynda never thought Sebastian would coldly press her like this, mercilessly.

Her heart ached.

She calculated all the time, using the most perfect and appropriate expressions and states to attract him, wanting to marry into a wealthy family.

In the end, Lynda didn't attract Sebastian but fell into a predicament.

She refused to give up.

"I know you don't love me anymore, and I know you've been distancing yourself from me," Lynda didn't answer Sebastian's question, instead, she cried, "I know everything. Several times, you wanted to tell me but were interrupted, but I understood."

"Actually, what difference does it make whether you say it or not? We've never been together. I'm nothing to you, and you to me. We're just ordinary friends."

"You never said you loved me."

Lynda's nose turned red, her shoulders trembling, tears falling like broken pearls.

"But I always pretended not to know until after that incident at the hotel; I couldn't pretend anymore. I saw how you struggled to stay faithful to Isabella, and I couldn't deceive myself."

Sebastian looked towards the operating room; the door was still tightly closed.

He was outside, having no idea of what was happening inside, and his brows remained tightly furrowed.

After a while, Sebastian turned back to Lynda.

He didn't even know how desolate his eyes were when he looked at her at that moment, "So? Is this your reason for doing this?"

Lynda's pupils contracted slightly; how could this be?

She deliberately brought up the emotional matter to make Sebastian feel guilty!

But how could he be so indifferent?

Lynda's back felt a chill, a fear of being seen through, but everything was flawless.

She had planned it perfectly; no one would know!

"I didn't do it!" Lynda loudly denied it.

"Really?" Sebastian retorted, eyes narrowing, scrutinizing and sharp.

Lynda clenched her hands tightly, nodded heavily, and argued, " I didn't do it. Today's incident has nothing to do with me!"
