Chapter 395 Pregnant Women Are Really Clingy
After speaking, Isabella comforted Sebastian, "Don't exhaust yourself looking into these things. Focus on the important tasks first."
Sebastian nodded, picked up Isabella, and placed her on the bed. "I'll find the book."
"Okay!" Isabella responded with a smile.
Sebastian thought, 'This is the last time. After this, I will never deceive my Isabella again.'
Perhaps it was an inner intuition at work, Isabella gazed at Sebastian's departing figure, feeling inexplicably uneasy.
She had a vague feeling that Sebastian seemed to be hiding something from her.
As this thought flashed through her mind, Isabella helplessly brought her fingers together and patted her temples.
She thought, 'I'm really too bored, letting my mind wander like this.
'What could Sebastian be hiding from me?
'We trust each other, and we have agreed long ago that there would be no secrets between them. What am I thinking?'
Isabella silently scolded herself twice, pushing these messy thoughts out of her mind.
She leaned back and lay on the bed.
Staring at the crystal chandelier above, she unknowingly began to smile.
Isabella thought, 'A proposal, a ring, and surely a wedding, too.
'What would the wedding be like?'
Once the switch of imagination was turned on, it couldn't be turned off.
She continued thinking, 'Flowers, wine, fireworks, guests, him, and me.'
The flush of joy on Isabella's face spread down to her neck and ears, her delight unmistakable.
She covered her face with her hands, overwhelmed with happiness.
As she continued to think about it, she started to feel drowsy.
The bed was incredibly soft, like sinking into a cloud, and before she knew it, she drifted off to sleep.
What happened afterward was a hazy blur for Isabella.
For instance, Sebastian seemed to hold her and feed her.
Later, he helped her with her morning routine.
Finally, he held her close and stayed by her side as she slept.
The details were fuzzy and unclear.
But one thing was crystal clear—pure bliss!
Isabella slept soundly.
Probably because she went to bed early the previous night, Isabella woke up very early in the morning.
When she woke up, the sun had not yet risen over the mountain, and Sebastian beside her was still asleep.
What a wonderful feeling it was to wake up next to the person she loved.
Her heart was already overflowing with happiness from the moment she woke.
With a smile stretching across her face, Isabella poked Sebastian's cheek, finding it surprisingly soft despite his usually stern expression.
Worried about waking Sebastian, Isabella obediently withdrew her hand. After watching him for a few minutes, she gently got out of bed.
On the nightstand lay a design book. Isabella carefully picked it up and settled onto the sofa to read.
Sebastian had already marked the important points for designing the ring.
There weren't many key points, and Isabella finished reading it quickly.
Closing the book, Isabella stretched lazily and unintentionally glanced towards the bed.
She saw Sebastian propped up on one elbow, looking at her with a sleepy, yet lazy smile.
Isabella's smile widened. "Good morning, hubby."
There was a flutter of shy excitement in her heart at using the word "hubby."
Sebastian smiled and said, "Awake so early? Come here, let me hug you."
Because he had just woken up, his voice was extremely hoarse, even more magnetic, making him sound even more sexy.
Isabella felt her legs go weak, tingling.
"No," Isabella tried to suppress her urge to jump into Sebastian's arms and said, "I need to wash up, I can't miss breakfast."
She missed dinner last night. Although not on purpose, Isabella still felt a bit embarrassed.
"Okay," Sebastian replied.
Then, under Isabella's gaze, he lifted the blanket, swung his legs out of bed, and walked towards her.
Standing in front of Isabella, he bent down and picked her up horizontally. "If you don't come over, I'll come to you.
"Let's wash up together.
"Then go downstairs for breakfast together."
He carried her towards the bathroom.
Isabella's eyes widened in surprise, but as the reality of the situation hit her, she wrapped her arms around Sebastian's neck.
Her heart raced, and her smile was an uncontrollable curve of joy.
In the bathroom, they played and laughed together.
What should have been a quick morning routine turned into a forty-minute escapade.
Finally done, Sebastian pinned Isabella against the edge of the sink, one hand protecting her waist, the other hand on the back of her head, kissing her.
The fresh taste of their shared toothpaste lingered between their lips, filling the room with a blend of pheromones and affection.
Being bathed in such sweet tenderness first thing in the morning made Isabella feel incredibly lucky.
It was almost too much happiness to handle!
And the happier she was, the clingier she became.
After leaving the bathroom, Isabella nearly stuck to Sebastian like glue.
She fussed over his outfit, even snatching his tie to carefully knot it for him while standing on tiptoe.
Isabella felt a bit embarrassed, but she really loved him.
When she loved him, how could she control her actions?
Sebastian pouted playfully. "Pregnant women are really clingy, huh?"
"It's not me, it's the pregnancy. Have you read any pregnancy books? They say pregnant women are sensitive, vulnerable, and super clingy," Isabella retorted.
Sebastian played with Isabella's chin, his gaze full of adoration.
"Yes, and they can be quite spoiled," he said with a low, teasing laugh. "It makes them irresistible.
"I really like it, I'm fascinated, and I'm…" Sebastian drew out the last word, gazing into Isabella's eyes, mouthing silently.
Isabella blinked. "What?"
Sebastian moved his lips again but remained silent.
Isabella mimicked his tongue movement and said, "Hard?"
Isabella thought, 'What did that mean?'
At first, Isabella was innocently puzzled, but then she realized what he was hinting at.
In an instant, she was overwhelmed with shyness.
Sebastian pinched Isabella's nose playfully and chuckled, "Feeling shy? Your cheeks are flushed. Is your face hot?"
He pressed the pad of his index finger against Isabella's flushed cheek for a while, then put it to his lips.
"Not too hot," He said, "Then, let's try another way."
With that, he lowered his head and planted a kiss on Isabella's cheek.
Sebastian nodded. "Indeed, it's hot."
At this moment, Isabella had only one thought in her head. 'Please kill me now.'
Isabella continued thinking, 'I'mdoomed.
'Completely doomed.
'No way out.'
Isabella felt the scorching heat waves emanating from her ears.
