Chapter 30 A Chance Encounter
"Second sister-in-law must be feeling shy," Isabella couldn't withstand teasing, but unfortunately Amber loved to joke around. It was even more coincidental that Joshua was also like that.
He laughed and said, "I guess Mr. Lawrence managed to pursue her because of his thick-skinned nature."
Sebastian remained unperturbed and even retorted, "It's still better than being a single dog or being unmarried."
Amber stomped her foot and said, "I'm single because I don't want to be in a relationship!"
"You better start looking soon. Once Grandfather arranges someone for you, you'll regret it."
"I don't want blind dates..."
Sebastian looked at Joshua. "What mischief are you and Amber up to?"
"It's a misunderstanding, boss," Joshua answered. "Miss and I were just working."
"That's right." Amber nodded. "Didn't I just tell you? I'm here to discuss endorsements."
"Didn't you just have a new product launch for your mobile phone brand? I plan to invite Amber to be the spokesperson for the upcoming season." Joshua said, bumping shoulders with Sebastian. "What do you think? Isn't it great?"
Sebastian cast him a sidelong glance.
"This is called utilizing internal resources. We don't want outsiders taking advantage of our opportunities. It just so happens that Miss is willing, so it's a perfect match."
"That's right, now I can meet up with Second sister-in-law more often. Even if we're photographed, we'll have a valid reason to explain."'
Being the spokesperson for Lawrence Group is a resource that many celebrities would fight over, but Amber effortlessly obtained it.
Isabella thought to herself, being born into the right family is truly a skill.
Suddenly, her shoulder tightened, and she was brought into Sebastian's broad and warm embrace.
"You..." she struggled a bit. "There are still people here."
Joshua and Amber wore knowing expressions, making Isabella even more embarrassed.
"Well, let me introduce her as well," Sebastian proudly lifted his chin. "This is Isabella, the new secretary for the President's Office."
"A secretary?"
"A secretary?"
Joshua and Amber exclaimed in unison.
"Yes," Sebastian said. "A personal secretary, there's only one."
Isabella couldn't help but feel that the wording sounded a little awkward... Personal secretary, personal service?
She thought of the times when Sebastian ruthlessly bullied her in bed, and her ears turned red instantly.
"Mr. Lawrence, you're using public resources for personal gain," Joshua said. "Placing your own wife in the secretary's office, you will see her every day and night."
"You might as well engrave 'Mrs. Lawrence' on the office door."
If Isabella remained silent, she would continue to be teased, so she quickly explained, "Mr. Lawrence, this is..."
No, it's not. It's because I... I want to learn some knowledge about corporate management and business finance."
Joshua nodded meaningfully: "Yes, yes, learning knowledge can also enhance marital feelings."
To outsiders, they saw these four people standing together, talking and laughing, handsome men and beautiful women, a sight to behold.
When Brittany returned from going out, she saw a group of people gathered in the lobby, including a figure that stood out from the crowd, calmly walking towards the employee elevator.
"Miss Everly," the receptionist called her, "there is a package for you here."
Brittany paused in her steps and turned back. This sound naturally caught Joshua's attention. He looked up and immediately saw Brittany.
She was bowing her head to sign for the delivery, her hair falling over her shoulders, her fingers holding the pen fair and slender, her face serene.
Then she raised her head, smiled at the receptionist, and left gracefully.
"Now that everyone is gone, you're still looking." Sebastian said, "If you still like her... go after her."
