Chapter 383 Among the Three, Isabella is the Most Innocent

'It's over.' Lynda knew it was done for.

She'd misjudged her place in Sebastian's heart and underestimated his clout in Maple Valley.

"Of course... I have something to say!" Lynda struggled to stand, glaring at Sebastian. "Don't you know why I did this?"

"It's simple," Sebastian said. "You were too greedy."

"But you pushed me!" Lynda was nearly hysterical. "If you hadn't fallen for Isabella, none of this would have happened! We've been together for years, and how long have you known Isabella?

"What makes Isabella so special that she can win your heart and get everything from you in just six months?

"And what about us? Years of entanglement and I can't even get the title of girlfriend!

"It's ridiculous! Everyone thinks I'm better than Mrs. Lawrence, but I don't even count as a lover!

"So! Isabella must die!"

Lynda's voice was hoarse from shouting. "No matter what it takes, I want Isabella dead!"

Sebastian turned around, looking at Lyndaindifferently.

After a long pause, he said hoarsely, "If you hate me so much, why not come after me? Why go after someone innocent? We both know Isabella is the most innocent one here. You know very well how she got involved."

"Innocent?" Lynda sneered, "I'm the most innocent one ! I'm the one you abandoned!"

Lynda wanted to continue, but Sebastian stepped closer, forcing her to step back.

"You're not innocent, and you're not pitiful," Sebastian said clearly, "Ask yourself. How much do you really care about me? I've provided for you, treated your illnesses, and how did you repay me? By knocking me out when I was drunk. Did you care about my life then?"

Lynda's eyes widened, unable to meet Sebastian's gaze. "I don't know! I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Abandoned by me?" Sebastian shook his head. "We have never been together, so how could you say I abandon you? Besides, you've been with Samuel for years now, right? Samuel is one of the most cunning people in business. Do yo think he would help you for no reason?"

Sebastian grabbed Lynda's arm, pulling her hand away from her ears.

"Listen carefully," he said, "From now on, don't bring up the past. We're done. Otherwise, I won't hesitate to show you what I'm capable of."

Sebastian's grip tightened, showing his strength.

"Lynda, this is the last time. If there's a next time, I can't guarantee I'll let you go."

The image of Isabella trembling and crying in his arms yesterday kept flashing though his mind.

He remembered promising her he'd provide evidence and give her an explanation.

But when he got the evidence, he couldn't do it.

Sebastian's heart ached, filled with frustration, guilt, and helplessness.

He let go of Lynda's hand.

Lynda grabbed him. "No, don't. Sebastian, you can't leave me. I can't live without you."

Her eyes were bloodshot, looking deranged. "I've done so many wrong things for you, even chose a man I despise for you. I've given everything. How can you just leave me so easily?"

Sebastian pulled his hand away. "I've really spoiled you over the years. Don't make it sound so noble. It's all because of your greed."

Lynda sniffled, ignoring the latter part of his words.

She nodded. "Yes, yes, you're right. It's all your fault. You spoiled me, so keep spoiling me. You said you'd take care of me for a lifetime. How can you go back on your word!"

"Treasure those who love you. Don't trample on others' feelings. Don't talk about disgust. If you're disgusted. Don't make a fuss," Sebastian said, "Start over. You should be grateful that you're lucky."

He said no more and walked out.

Behind him, Lynda's legs gave way, and she slid down the wall to the floor. The cold floor sent a continuous chill.

She hugged her arms, shivering uncontrollably, and burst into hysterical laughter. "Sebastian, you let me go. So you still love me, right?

"I almost killed Isabella, but you still let me go. Once, twice, now a third time. I must be special to you."

A strange light flickered in Lynda's eyes. "I suddenly realize Isabella is nothing. So what if she is Mrs. Lawrence? So what if you love her? It's useless. You don't help her at all.

"She knows I pushed her. She must know I'm the culprit. But you, you don't punish me at all. If she knows this, your relationship will be over!"

Sebastian stopped in his tracks, his hand clenching.

But a few seconds later, he released his hand.

He remained calm. "It's simple. I won't say, and you don't dare to say. How will she know?"

Lynda stood up, looking at Sebastian with obsession.

In this world, no man could compare to him.

He was so perfect that she couldn't find a single flaw.

Lynda lunged forward, wrapping her arms around Sebastian's waist from behind. "I won't say. I'll be good. Just please don't go, okay?"

She softened her voice, using a tone men couldn't refuse.

Outside, Pamela didn't dare to move for a long time.

She was sweating profusely. But in this situation, she could only lower her head, stay silent, and pretend she didn't exist.

Suddenly, a pair of hands appeared in front of her, holding a card between the index and middle fingers.

Pamela looked up trembling as she met Samuel's gaze.

Samuel's face still had a friendly smile. He raised an eyebrow at Pamela, pushing the card into her hand.

"Get busy," Samuel said slyly, in a voice only the two of them could hear. "You didn't see me, and I wasn't here. Fourteen thousand dollars. The password is six ones. Is that enough?"

Pamela was so frightened by Samuel's smile that she trembled. She had never seen such a terrifying smile.

But, that was fourteen thousand dollars.
