Chapter 62 Joshua, I Hate You So Much

Isabella's fingers moved swiftly and skillfully. It seemed she had done this many times before. "My grandmother taught me. She said it would come in handy one day."

"Then," he asked, "Have you tied it for someone else before?"

Only then did Isabella realize something was off. She looked up at him and answered, "No, you're the first."

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely." She nodded. "Marcus and I never lived together, so I never had the chance to tie one for him."

"It sounds somewhat regretful..."

"That's a misunderstanding." Isabella took back her hand. "Alright, it's perfect. But the color doesn't quite match your outfit. Never mind, I'll help you choose a tie tomorrow."

Humming an unfamiliar tune, she walked into the dressing room.

Sebastian glanced down at the tie hanging in front of him, the corners of his mouth lifted up.

Today was officially Isabella's first day at work.

After arriving at the company, she didn't follow Sebastian to his office but went to the secretary's office to locate her own workspace.

However, after searching in circles, Isabella couldn't find it.

The nearby secretary reminded her, "Mrs. Lawrence, your office is over there."

Office?

Isabella followed her direction and froze.

It really was an office, and it didn't look small either. The door was slightly ajar, and the glass was clean and spotless.

She pushed the door open and stepped inside. It was spacious with a great view, just like Sebastian's office: it was fully furnished with premium leather sofas, high-end solid wood furniture, a humidifier, an aromatherapy machine...

Sebastian's "special treatment" was a bit excessive...

However, what caught Isabella's attention the most was a seemingly inconspicuous door.

Why would there be a door inside the office?

She tried pulling the door handle and found that it opened easily, unlocked.

Isabella stepped through the door and found herself in a resting area. There was a large bed with thick curtains drawn tightly, blocking out any light.

Walking cautiously, she suddenly heard someone speaking.

It sounded like... Sebastian's voice?

Why could she hear him talking?

Isabella hurried forward, and as the dim light in the rest area faded away, a bright scene unfolded before her eyes, and then...

She realized she was standing in Sebastian's office.

What's happening? How did she go from her own office... to Sebastian's office?

So these two offices are connected, with just a resting area in between!

Sebastian was sitting on a plush leather executive chair, listening to Kaine's report, when suddenly Isabella's figure appeared before his eyes. He raised his eyebrows and beckoned with his finger.

Kaine turned around and looked, saying, "Madam."

Isabella awkwardly smiled, "Good... morning..."

Damn it, what is Sebastian up to?

Unexpectedly, she was given a separate office, which happens to be connected to his office. Doesn't that mean... they can see each other without leaving the room! It feels like a secret love affair..."

"Are you that eager to see me?" Sebastian tapped the table. "I thought you would hesitate for a while, considering how much you didn't want to come in and insisted on going to your own office."

Isabella continued to smile awkwardly. "I-I just arrived, so I thought I'd explore a bit, you know, just explore..."

"Madam," Kaine asked, "if there's anything you're not satisfied with, please feel free to let me know. I'll do my best to fulfill your needs."

"I was thinking... Can we dismantle the door and seal the wall?"
