Chapter 227 How Could You Vent Your Anger on My Dad?

However, the two of them sitting side by side, learning how to care for a new life, did give her a taste of marital unity.
She chuckled, focusing on the doctor's lecture as her hands busily took notes.
Meanwhile, Sebastian's phone in his pocket suddenly started to buzz.
A call was coming in.
"I'll step out for a bit," Sebastian stood up, speaking lightly, "You keep listening."
"Okay," Isabella, propping her head up while touching her belly, ignored him.
Sebastian, of course, was not pleased.
Before leaving, he glanced at Isabella's belly as a cold hum escaped from his nostrils; his jealousy was apparent.
What was he humming about? It was utterly baffling.
Isabella was speechless; she couldn't understand Sebastian now, but in hindsight, she might never have understood him.
Sebastian left the parenting class and answered the call.
"Mr. Lawrence, we've started to act on the Turner family matter, all according to your instructions."
After listening to his subordinate's report, he chuckled, "Continue as planned; Edwin Turner is jumping into the pit himself. There's no need for such a brainless person to keep his position."
The other party responded with a "yes," and then Sebastian ended the call.
After putting away his phone, Sebastian stood at the back door of the parenting class.
Watching Isabella's busy figure, his heart was filled with fulfillment and warmth, leaving no room for him to think about anything else.
Isabella finished the class without Sebastian returning. Without him, she could be more at ease.
She stretched, relaxing her body that had been sitting for over an hour.
A pregnant mom next to her initiated a conversation, "You can't do vigorous exercise at this stage; it's not good for the baby."
"Ah?" Isabella was startled.
She placed her hands on her belly, looking worried, “Is that so? Thank you.”
The pregnant mom, with her big belly and maternal glow, smiled at Isabella, “You don’t have to be too cautious. I’m just reminding you as someone who’s been there. Also”…"
The pregnant mom smiled mysteriously, leaving Isabella confused as her mouth opened slightly, "Hmm?"
"Your husband; he really loves you," the pregnant mom said enviously, "He not only accompanied you to this class but is also taking videos. That's nice."
Taking videos?
Isabella was stunned. She turned her head to follow the pregnant mom's gaze and saw Sebastian standing behind them, quietly putting away his phone.
Isabella, like a wound-up robot, forgot how to look away.
"Pregnancy is tough but having a loving man by your side can also bring happiness," the pregnant mom sighed, "Hope to see you next time."
Isabella turned her face and smiled at the pregnant lady, "See you next time, be careful on the road."
She didn't echo the lady’s sentiments about Sebastian, she dared not.
She was afraid to let the budding flame in her heart ignite.
At that moment, her phone vibrated twice.
Several pictures of her taking notes in class were sent over. The angle was great; the proportion was great, and the lighting was great too. The pictures were breathtaking.
"Organize these with the previous ones."
Sebastian came over and rested his hand on Isabella's shoulder.
Isabella trembled slightly, and her heart began to flutter.
"Okay," Isabella agreed, "Thank you."
Whether it was genuine or pretense, his doing so deserved gratitude. She thanked him for allowing her to record these moments with her baby.
Sebastian tightened his grip on her shoulder, saying lightly, "I've told you; I want to be good to you."
Not giving her a chance to refuse, Sebastian said, "Let's go back home."
Isabella, head down, staring at her toes, was in turmoil.
Sebastian was completely turning Isabella’s world upside down.
She wanted to talk to someone, but...
Emily was out; Sebastian was her idol.
Amber was out; Sebastian was her brother.
Only Brittany knew about her situation with Sebastian, but she didn't want to trouble Brittany with her problems.
If she wanted to distract herself with something else, the only thing left was the whole issue with Grace, which she needed to solve.
The problem was, she couldn't solve it for now; she couldn't find any information.
Isabella was overwhelmed.
Fortunately, the weekend passed in a flash, and it was soon time to go to work.
Isabella had never craved work as much as she did now; she was desperate for something to numb her senses.
After changing her shoes, Isabella went out, waiting for Sebastian to drive over from the underground garage.
Sebastian, because of the baby, was now so nervous that he insisted on driving himself, claiming no driver could be as careful as him.
Isabella didn't object though.
Surprisingly, instead of Sebastian driving over in his car, an uninvited guest showed up.
Grace... She dared to come again?! What was she doing here again? What did she want to do this time?!
Isabella clenched her fists. Her gaze became alert and icy, and her chest was heaving with anger. She really wanted to rush up and slap Grace!
When Isabella saw Grace, Grace saw Isabella at the same time.
Her dull eyes lit up instantly as she struggled desperately to break free from the bodyguard blocking her.
A woman's strength was no match for a man's; she couldn't break free.
Unable to escape, Grace could only widen her eyes and scream, "Let me go! Let me go!"
Sebastian's bodyguards were all well-trained; they didn't understand the concept of being gentle with women.
Even if Grace screamed herself hoarse, they felt no sympathy.
Grace had lost her usual haughtiness; her hair was disheveled, and she wasn't wearing makeup. She looked haggard.
She screamed, "Isabella, I did it; I was the one who ordered the attack on you; it has nothing to do with my dad!"
"If you have a problem with me, then deal with me directly. There's no need to involve our families in our personal feud!"
Grace's throat was burning from the shouting, but she had to shout; she had no other choice.
Because, early this morning, people from the prosecutor's office came to her house and took her dad away.
Her family had been keeping a low profile recently; they hadn't done anything to offend anyone.
In her desperation, she sought help from many people, and finally found out that Sebastian had set up a trap long ago. He was just waiting for the Turner family to fall into it.
No wonder her dad handled everything so smoothly. It was all an illusion! It was a play!
Sebastian was waiting for her dad to abuse his power, catch him red-handed, and take down her entire family in one swoop.
Now, all kinds of explosive news was trending. Her dad's dirty private life and many other secrets were all dug up.
Grace was desperate; was her family just going to end like this?
Her life of luxury was already ingrained in her; she couldn't lose it.
She wasn't acting out of duty as a daughter, but out of a desire to secure her own future wealth and glory and that meant getting her father out first.
She had to exchange herself to get her dad out.
As for her, Lynda, as an ally, would protect her. Lynda wouldn't dare not protect her!
Grace shouted, "Isabella, if you have a problem, take it up with me. It's not fair to take your anger out on my father. He's an old man; he shouldn't be caught up in our feud. I was wrong, and I'm ready to accept the consequences."
