Chapter 379 Lynda Goes to Beg That Man
Amber's face got serious. "I mean, about the party..."
To Isabella, Amber was always the cheerful, lovable one. Not wanting to see her down, Isabella quickly shook her head. "It's nothing. Sebastian and I made up ages ago."
She playfully messed up Amber's hair. "I just said thanks earlier. I promise I won't do it again."
Raising her hand like she was taking an oath, Isabella declared, "I swear!"
Amber's mood brightened instantly. Her eyes sparkled as she grabbed Isabella's hand. "No need for promises. You, Sebastian, and the baby—one happy family, that's all that matters!"
"Isabella, I promise you, Sebastian will treat you right. Lynda won't come between you two anymore."
Isabella took a sip of fish soup and paused, looking at Amber. "Why are you so sure?" Even Isabella herself couldn't confidently dismiss Lynda.
"Because Sebastian and Lynda have sorted things out. They're done," Amber said, her eyes twinkling with a smile.
Isabella was confused. "Sorted things out? Done? What does that mean?"
Thinking about the secret between Sebastian and Lynda, she asked, "Amber, what happened between them when I was in surgery yesterday?"
"I knew Sebastian wouldn't tell you," Amber leaned in closer. "Do you know you have RH-negative blood? The hospital was low on supply, and Sebastian rushed to find some.
"After about fifteen minutes, Sebastian showed up with Lynda and another guy who had the same blood type, and they took his blood.
"But it was probably Lynda who convinced him to come.
"I thought Lynda might use this to make Sebastian stay with her, but she didn't."
Amber furrowed her brows, puzzled. "She said that as long as Sebastian was happy, she could step back. She'd even be with the other guy to save you."
Even though she knew about Betty's favor for Moore, Amber still didn't like Lynda.
"She seems pretty devoted. Who knows," Amber clicked her tongue. "Then, they cleared things up. Once the guy's blood was drawn, Lynda left with him."
Amber shared just enough to make Sebastian look good while she left out the foundation compensation and the messy details.
Isabella was stunned, trying to process Amber's words.
'I am not type B blood?'
She pushed that thought aside. It wasn't important. But her face turned pale.
She grabbed Amber's wrist. "So, Lynda agreed to be with the guy who matched my blood type to save me. Is that so?"
Isabella wondered if she was still dreaming, or had the world gone mad.
"Yes," Amber nodded. "That's how it happened."
Isabella was speechless. It was unbelievable!
That woman, Lynda, was truly...
Isabella was at a loss for words.
She suddenly understood why Sebastian needed solid evidence to deal with Lynda.
If Lynda was willing to sacrifice her happiness to save her, how could she be a threat?
Sebastian knew she disliked Lynda, so he kept quiet. But she would think Sebastian was biased towards Lynda and didn't take her and the babies seriously, leading to arguments and a rift in their relationship.
Eventually, the "good woman" who sacrificed for love, Lynda, would reappear at the right time and win back Sebastian.
Isabella wanted to curse. Meanwhile, she couldn't help but laugh. With her limited intelligence, she could never match Lynda.
If Amber hadn't told her about this, she would have followed the path Lynda had set!
Isabella had truly been deceived and had indeed argued with Sebastian from yesterday evening until morning.
'Damn it!' Isabella felt a chill run through her body, and a sudden panic seized her.
"Isabella?" Amber waved her hand in front of Isabella, concerned. "What's wrong? Why is your face so pale all of a sudden?
"It's all my fault," Amber exclaimed, tapping her head. "I shouldn't have brought up Lynda. Don't worry about her. And you don't have to feel grateful.
"After all the acting I've done, I still think she's like a villain from a script, who had a lot of sinister thoughts in her.
"When the time comes, Sebastian will handle it. Just ignore her."
With the gratitude towards Betty still lingering, Amber didn't continue complaining.
Isabella gazed at Amber's bright eyes, feeling soft inside. She nodded with a smile. "Alright, I won't pay her any mind."
She skipped details to Amber, the princess of the Lawrence family, who was also her princess. Isabella wanted to protect Amber's innocence and kindness.
Even though she now knew about the disgusting things Lynda had done, Isabella felt relieved. The thorn that had been stuck in her throat loosened and melted away, not hurting as much.
Isabella now had a clear mind, and she wouldn't be deceived. She, Sebastian, and the two babies would always be together!
"Oh, Amber," Isabella continued sipping her fish soup, "I have good news to tell you."
Amber looked up, blinking curiously. "What is that?"
Isabella suddenly felt the urge to share the news about the twins with Amber. But then she remembered Sebastian hadn't known yet.
She smirked, teasingly saying, "I'm not telling you for now."
"You're so naughty, Isabella!" Amber pouted like a little pufferfish. "Now I'm super curious!"
For the first time, Isabella understood the feeling of teasing Amber. No wonder Sebastian enjoyed doing it.
She playfully raised her finger and bopped Amber's nose.
Amber blushed slightly, hugging her arms.
