Chapter 154 I Got Carsick and Threw Up

Ignoring everything else, she wiped her mouth with her sleeve. "Can't you be a little gentler with me?"

Sebastian just looked at her, his expression dark.

"While I may not be as delicate and ill as Lynda, I'm still flesh and blood. Can't you let me sit properly in the car? Or wait until I'm settled and wearing my seatbelt before driving?"

Sebastian asked her, "Are you done throwing up? Are you sober? Not drunk anymore?"

"I didn't..."

Isabella was about to answer when she suddenly realized something was off.

Sober? Drunk?

She hadn't even touched alcohol, so how could she be drunk? Did Sebastian think she was drunk?

"You didn't what? Hmm?" Sebastian continued to stand with folded arms, looking down at her sitting on the ground.

"Keep talking."

Isabella raised her hand and touched her own face.

It felt hot. She didn't need a mirror to know her face was red.

Isn't this what it looks like when you're drunk?

But she... she hadn't even touched a drop of alcohol! Not a single one!

It must be because it was stuffy in the bar, and coupled with the heat from dancing, she had sweated a lot. That must be why, and she had just been throwing up.

No wonder Sebastian misunderstood and thought she was drunk.

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

Sebastian grew impatient as Isabella remained silent. "Isabella, you're becoming bolder and bolder."

She suddenly smiled. "Isn't it all because of you spoiling me?"

Since he thought she was drunk, then she might as well act drunk.

"I told you to go back to Willow Brook Estate, but you ran off to a bar?" he said.

"What's wrong with that?" Isabella countered. "Is it not, okay? You're allowed to go see Lynda, but I'm not allowed to go to a bar?"

"Is that the kind of place you should go to? Don't you know there are a lot of men there with ill intentions? You're preparing for pregnancy, you can't drink. Don't you take care of your body?"

Sebastian accused.

Facing Sebastian's blame, she remained calm. "You smoke heavily too, don't you?"
Sebastian was practically livid with anger.

Isabella supported herself on the ground and slowly stood up. Her head was still dizzy from being carried and thrown around, along with the fast driving.

She took two steps, her movements unsteady.

Not able to bear seeing her like this, Sebastian quickly walked over to her.

"Don't touch me, you... don't move." Isabella warned immediately. "Keep your distance, I don't need your help..."

She was afraid that Sebastian would lift her up again.

The feeling of being upside down was incredibly uncomfortable.

Recently, she had not only experienced a huge increase in her appetite, but also sudden and inexplicable nausea, and the symptoms were getting worse each time.

There must be something wrong. Isabella couldn't tolerate rough treatment anymore.

Sebastian's hand paused in mid-air, but eventually, it landed on Isabella's waist.

"Don't, you..."

Isabella's words were cut off.

After speaking, Sebastian gently lifted her up in his arms. His hands were steady, and his embrace was warm.

Isabella could hardly believe it and looked up at him in astonishment.

Regrettably, Sebastian didn't even give her a glance, keeping his eyes fixed ahead as he swiftly walked towards the villa.

She could only see his resolute jawline.

Carrying her up to the second floor, he didn't forget to give an order, "Go get something to help with the hangover."

"Yes," the response of a servant echoed from some corner.

Sebastian kicked open the door to the master bedroom and lay her back on the bed. His movements were much gentler now, probably because he could see how much she was suffering from all the vomiting.

In truth, Isabella was feeling uneasy. She wasn't drunk, but now she had to pretend to be.

If she told Sebastian she hadn't been drinking, he probably wouldn't believe her. If he did believe her, he would be angry for not clarifying things from the beginning.

In any case, Sebastian was a hard person to please.

Isabella turned over, pulled the covers over herself, and left only her eyes exposed, staring fixedly at Sebastian.

"How...how did you find the bar? Who told you?" she asked.

"The bodyguard."

"Why would Lynda let you go?"

"None of your business."

"I can't even ask." Isabella pouted.

"Is it that easy for you to slip away from the Land of Gentleness? You're too disciplined..."

Sebastian's face darkened. "Shut up."

"I can't even talk? If I lie here like this, I'll suffocate."

He reached over and pulled the blankets down a bit.

"You're suffocating even with the covers on?"

"I'm cold."

Sebastian stood still for two seconds before turning to adjust the temperature.

Women can be so troublesome!

"You'll pay for this when you wake up tomorrow," he said.

"Who gave you permission to drink so much?"

Isabella responded cunningly, "How did you know I was drinking?"

"Could you vomit like that without drinking?"

"You're the one who caused it. The jolting, the carrying, the driving fast...it made me nauseous."

Sebastian adjusted the temperature and strolled back to the bedside, giving her a cold glance.

"Nonsensical."

Alright, Isabella thought, she knows that Sebastian thought she was drunk. Whenever she told the truth, it was treated as nonsense.

Times have changed.

As she was thinking, Isabella suddenly burst into laughter.

Sebastian's face remained tense.

"What are you laughing at? Huh?"

Isabella reached out from under the blanket and tugged at his dress shirt cuff.

"How did you manage to escape from Lynda?"

"She's more obedient than you."

"Oh, I see," Isabella blinked. "So, you're saying that if I say I'm drinking and you want to find me, she would agree?"

"Can you please be quiet, Isabella?"

"No," she replied, "I just want to talk now. I'll bother you to death."

"I'm so annoyed at you," Sebastian frowned, looking down and murmuring to himself, "After getting drunk, I didn't go crazy, but just spoke more, and my tolerance for alcohol is still alright."

"..."

"Whether she knows I came to find you or not, she would let me go," Sebastian said indifferently,

"Unlike you."

"What's wrong with me? I'm doing fine too."

Sebastian looked at her for a while, then suddenly sat down, leaning forward with one hand propped by her ear, looking at her.

With such a close distance, she could clearly see his eyelashes.

And their noses were almost touching.

"Why did you go for a drink?" Sebastian's voice was deep and low, "Was it because you were angry that I went to see Lynda?"

"Yeah... Being alone is quite boring."

"Jealous?"

Normally, Isabella would never admit it.

But today... when he said she was drunk, she acted as if she really was.

When someone is drunk, can you take their words seriously? Even if you do, the next day you can deny it blankly, saying you were drunk and don't remember anything.

Isabella bit her lip and, relying on the nonexistent "drunkenness", gained some courage.

She also gathered a bit of bravery.

"Yeah, I was jealous," Isabella said, "Why is it that with just one phone call from Lynda, you can leave? You yourself kept saying you wanted to go home and have dinner with me, just like before... but in the end, you didn't keep your word."
