Chapter 152 Give me the location, I'll be right there!
"I haven't seen you in several days, and I've missed you," Lynda replied. "Now that you're here, I naturally want to look at you more."
"I've been a bit busy lately."
"Has the Lawrence family been pressuring you again?"
Sebastian shook his head.
"There's nothing anyone can do to stop me from doing what I want."
Upon hearing this, Lynda's eyes sparkled slightly. "Since that's the case, then we..."
"Lynda," Sebastian furrowed his brows.
"I can marry you, but what I want isn't just the two of us together. You should understand that there are many things I have to consider."
"I know. But can't we discuss all these matters in the long run? As long as we're together, we can face any difficulties."
He raised his hand and covered hers over it. "I'll make arrangements."
Lynda's eyes showed a hint of disappointment, but she quickly lowered them, not letting him see.
Every time, when it came to marriage and the future, Sebastian would always say that he would handle and arrange everything.
But Lynda wanted to solidify their status before discussing anything else.
"I'll wait for your arrangements." Lynda held his hand in return.
"Sebastian, my whole life... I've already entrusted it to you."
"Hmm."
"I know you want to give me a better life. You want the Lawrence family to accept me, you want my illness to improve, you want me to marry you in a grand way, rather than casually, like you and Isabella did with just a certificate..."
At the mention of Isabella, Sebastian's face slightly changed, and his brows furrowed even more than usual.
But he didn't say anything.
"In fact," Lynda bit her lip, "Sebastian, as long as I can marry you, I don't care about the grandeur, or private lifelong commitment, or any formality or blessings."
"But I care," Sebastian said, "and all of this has already begun."
Once this game of chess starts, there's no turning back.
Seeing the subtle change in his expression, Lynda became a little anxious and worried.
She thought that getting the marriage certificate would be enough to firmly hold onto this man, and they could figure out everything else later.
But, unfortunately... Sebastian had a completely opposite idea from hers.
"Alright," Lynda couldn't be too hasty, she could only nod. "I'll listen to you."
"You just need to take care of your health."
"It's all because of my illness," her eyes reddened at the corners. "Otherwise..."
Sebastian whispered, "It's not your fault."
Lynda stood up and leaned into his embrace, encircling his waist.
"Sebastian, I really miss you, every day. But I know I need to be obedient and not disturb you casually. But I can't control my longing..."
"The Lawrence family is watching," he answered. "Frequent meetings between us will give them..."
"You're causing trouble."
"I understand, I understand. But do you know? This time, after I fell ill, I felt a bit happy inside."
"Happy?"
Lynda nodded. "Yes... because I knew you would definitely come. That way, I could see you. I used to hate my illness, but now, I wish it would happen more often so that I can see you more frequently."
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
"I really love you. I can't be without you. No matter how long I have to wait for you, no matter how many people oppose it, my whole life revolves around you."
Sebastian made a sound of acknowledgment.
Lynda snuggled deeper into his embrace. "Sebastian, hold me tighter..."
Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing interrupted them.
Sebastian glanced at the screen and answered the call. "Hello?"
"Mr. Lawrence, Madam has gone to a bar. And not just any bar, it's an unknown small one frequented by shady characters..."
The person on the other end of the phone rambled on.
Lynda was close enough to hear most of it. She looked up at Sebastian and noticed his grim expression.
However, he only said, "Understood," before hanging up.
Lynda remained silent, observing him.
Sebastian didn't meet her gaze at all and stood up, saying, "There's something I need to handle."
"So, you're leaving?" Lynda asked.
"Mm."
"Alright." Lynda nodded meekly.
"This time, being able to have you accompany me for over two hours during my illness, I'm already satisfied."
It was a tactic, a strategy.
By saying this, she appeared obedient and understanding, causing Sebastian to feel even more guilty.
"I'll come visit you often," Sebastian replied. "Rest early, and call me if you need anything."
"Okay, I'm fine. Go and attend to your matters. Also... didn't you say that the Lawrence family is keeping a close eye on you? It's better to come less often so as not to cause trouble."
Sebastian's large hand gently touched her hair, caressing it twice before he turned and quickly left.
Once the door closed, Lynda's serene smile slowly froze, and her expression became emotionless.
She tightly clenched the blanket in her hand. She had heard the conversation; Isabella had gone to a bar.
So what? What difference did it make?
Didn't she have bodyguards following her? Wasn't she safe enough? Didn't she still have Brittany?
Why was Sebastian in such a hurry to leave?
Was it because Isabella purposely went to the bar after Sebastian came to see her, making Sebastian go to her?
"Is this a warning to me?" Lynda whispered softly. "Well, Isabella, you've already lost. Sebastian can only be mine, you can't have him, nor can you steal him away!"
Sebastian got in the car and immediately dialed Joshua's phone number. As he stepped on the accelerator, he drove towards the location of the bar.
"What's the matter, President Bo? It's so late..."
"How do you handle things?" Sebastian scolded him outright, "Can't you handle such a trivial matter?"
Joshua was puzzled, "Which one are you talking about?"
"Isabella and Brittany are now at the bar in the south of the city! Didn't you give the order to stop Brittany from stepping in and catch her if you see her? Ah!"
"The south of the city? The bar?" Joshua's tone changed too, "Give me the location, I'll go over immediately!"
Sebastian provided a rough location and hung up the phone.
He had always thought that if Isabella and Anthony were kept apart, they would come up with all sorts of evil schemes and cause chaos.
He never expected that she would cause trouble with Brittany instead!
Sebastian gripped the steering wheel, and the car darted down the road like an arrow.
Inside the bar, the music, screams, and cheers all mixed together. The air was filled with a strong smell of smoke, and the people on the dance floor were wildly twisting, with red and green lights flickering around.
It was very lively.
A whole case of beer had already gone into Brittany's stomach.
As she drank, she muttered to herself, "Why is this beer...is it too strong? In the past, I would only feel a little tipsy after drinking a whole case, but today, today I only drank half a case with you...*burp*..."
