Chapter 94 Isabella is My Wife

Later, she slowly tiptoed and took the initiative to kiss his long-awaited thin lips.

After being apart for so long, he must have missed her a lot. He would think of her, of that Lynda was confident.

Kaine's behavior seemed off to Isabella, but she couldn't quite put her finger on what was strange about him. She pointed towards Sebastian's office and asked, "Is he in there? I'm going in to see him."

Sebastian's office was a place Isabella felt comfortable entering at will. She used to be more cautious, but over time, she had grown accustomed to entering regardless of whether someone was inside or not, maintaining her composure and confidence.

"He is, Mr. Lawrence is in there," Kaine replied, hesitatingly. "But..."

Isabella interrupted, "What's wrong, Kaine? You're being hesitant and unclear. Who is in Sebastian's office?"

"Well, um...," Kaine struggled to find the right words. He had worked by Mr. Lawrence's side for many years, privy to both his personal and professional matters. When he saw Miss Lynda appear before him, he was shocked and thought he was seeing things.

Now, if Mrs. Lawrence and Lynda were to come face to face, that would be even more unpredictable. Especially since Mr. Lawrence and Lynda hadn't seen each other in a long time, who knew what might happen if something intimate occurred? Kaine didn't know how to handle such a situation.

"Who is it? Can I not see them?" Isabella grew even more intrigued.

It seemed like there was no one she couldn't meet. Kaine's odd behavior only fueled Isabella's curiosity to go inside. She reassured him, saying, "Kaine, don't worry. I'll go. If there really is something going on, I'll take responsibility. Sebastian won't blame you."

With that, Isabella walked towards the office, leaving Kaine coughing, knowing he couldn't stop her and that interfering would only cause more problems.

Miss Lynda...

It seems... useless.
Kaine was about to cough out his lungs, yet there was no movement in the office.

On the contrary, Isabella turned around and glanced at him, finding him strange and acting differently.

But, despite his odd behavior, they were close to finding the answer... who exactly was it that made Kaine stop her from entering?
She couldn't think of anyone.

Isabella held onto the doorknob, pulled it down, and pushed the door open. "Sebastian, while I was buying pants at the mall, I also got something for you..."
Her voice abruptly stopped.

In front of the desk, the pair who were passionately kissing ceased all movement due to her sudden intrusion.

Isabella felt like an outsider.

She didn’t even know when the bag she was holding had fallen to the ground.

She just stood there, mesmerized by the scene, watching the tall and handsome man embrace a slim and long-legged woman. The air seemed to be filled with a sickeningly sweet scent.

Sebastian's hand remained on the woman's waist.
What a tender and doting posture.

Upon hearing a sound, Sebastian glanced up and his gaze fell upon her.

However... his expression showed no panic, confusion, or guilt.
He appeared calm.

The woman also looked over, and upon seeing Isabella, she seemed unsure of what to do and hid in Sebastian's embrace.

Sebastian immediately held her tightly.

Every subtle movement, every detail, felt like a sharp knife slicing Isabella's heart.

Although Sebastian did not name this woman, and Isabella had never seen her before, she already understood.

That woman had returned.

There wouldn't be another woman whom Sebastian would treat like this.

"... I'm sorry." Isabella didn't know how her voice managed to come out, as if something was blocking her throat. "I disturbed you. I should have knocked before coming in."

Saying that, she turned around in a panic, wanting to leave this place quickly.

But, why? Why was she panicking? Why did she want to leave? What did she do wrong?

She didn't do anything wrong. Her husband was kissing another woman in the office, so why should she run away?

This shouldn't be happening.

"When did you come in?" Sebastian's voice came from behind. "Isabella, stop!"
She froze in her tracks.

Why did he want her to stop? At a time like this, shouldn't she hurry and leave?

Everything seemed absurd. This proper Mrs. Lawrence appeared to be a third party.

"I... I didn't mean anything," Isabella said. "I'll go now."

“Sebastian,” the woman’s gentle voice chimed in, “who is she?”

Who is she?

Yes, Isabella wondered, who am I? Am I Isabella, Mrs. Sebastian Lawrence...

Isabella couldn't figure out who that woman was - Lawrence's mother or the future young master of the Lawrence family’s mother? Who exactly was she?

Sebastian didn't answer, and Isabella, after taking a few steps, remembered that she had dropped her shopping bag at the office entrance.

So, she turned back to pick it up without daring to look inside.

Isabella felt a chill run through her body, as if she had fallen into an ice cellar - it was bone-chillingly cold.

After walking a few steps, she suddenly stopped.

What was she running away from? What was she afraid of? Why did she feel like a person caught red-handed?

This shouldn't be happening!

Isabella stood still, everything in front of her seemed unreal.

Kaine sighed as he watched her figure.

Everyone only knew of Mrs. Lawrence's glamorous appearance. Mr. Lawrence even disregarded the Watson’s reputation for her and showered her with the utmost favoritism. But little did they know the heartbreaking stories hidden within.

Only those who were deeply involved could truly understand.

Lynda leaned against Sebastian's chest, asking, "What's the matter with that person...no knocking on the door or anything. Sebastian, who is she? You haven't answered me."

“Isabella.”

"Isabella?"

"My wife," Sebastian replied. "She is my wife."
