Chapter 161 Mansion Romance

Chapter 161: Put Me Down

Isabella glanced at the untouched glass before her.

She gently touched her nose and remarked, "After I finish this one, it's time to call it quits. Hangovers are no fun."

Brittany, brimming with confidence, responded, "Don't fret, I'm not even close to being tipsy. This amount of alcohol won't bring me down." She pushed herself up from the table, slightly swaying. "Come on, let's hit the dance floor, let's go..."

Sebastian's entrance into the bar was marked by his commanding presence, and he immediately spotted Isabella, swaying and moving to the music. The swirling lights added an air of uncertainty to her surroundings.

She danced with enthusiasm, her hair disheveled, sharing a good time with Brittany. While her alluring and seductive dance moves were captivating, the dance floor was meant for more than just the two of them, right? Nearby men, with eyes full of anticipation and hair dyed in a spectrum of colors, occasionally approached, dancing closely and attempting to flirt.

The DJ on stage made an announcement, and the entire club erupted with cheers. Sebastian's expression turned sour.

He made his way through the crowd, firmly gripping Isabella's wrist with clenched teeth. "Isabella!"

Isabella was thoroughly enjoying herself, fully engrossed in dancing with Brittany, so she was irritated when her wrist was suddenly seized. She was about to protest, "Who..."

But when she saw Sebastian's face, she froze.

The music was blaring, and she couldn't hear Sebastian's words, but his angry expression spoke volumes.

How did he end up here?

Wasn't he supposed to be with Lynda tonight?

Sebastian clutched her wrist with such force that it felt as though he might snap her bones, pulling her away from the bar.

Brittany, despite being quite intoxicated, still had some awareness left. She trailed after them, clutching Isabella's other hand. "Hey... What are you doing? She's with me tonight. We're having a blast together. Why are you spoiling our fun?"

"Never think about being alone with her again!"

"You're just like Joshua, selfish, domineering, and unreasonable." Brittany pointed at him. "We... we're just having a drink and dancing. What's the harm in that? It's perfectly normal and legal."

Sebastian shot her a cold look. "Brittany, you're drunk."

"I'm not."

"Joshua will be here soon." He released Brittany's hand. "Just wait!"

However, like an octopus, Brittany quickly latched back onto them. "It doesn't matter who shows up! Who do you think you are, meddling in our affairs?"

"You can't take Isabella away! If she leaves… who will drink with me, who... who will party with me?!"

Sebastian glanced at Isabella, who was caught in this predicament, but the dim lighting made it hard to discern much.

Isabella felt the need to say something. After a moment of contemplation, just as she was about to speak, Joshua suddenly materialized out of thin air and pulled Brittany away.

"Brittany," she could only say in haste, "you... ah!"

Sebastian simply ushered Isabella away.

Her head was hanging low, her feet dangling, and her world was spinning. She couldn't see anything clearly, only able to let out uncontrollable screams.

Sebastian dealt her a harsh slap on the back of her head, making his displeasure evident. "Behave, Isabella. We'll discuss this when we get home."

Detecting the strong scent of alcohol on Brittany's breath, he naturally assumed that Isabella had also imbibed significantly and was inebriated.

Isabella wanted to check on how Brittany was faring, but Sebastian quickly whisked her away, and her voice couldn't reach him. As they exited the bar, a gentle summer breeze wafted by, but combined with Sebastian's swift pace, it left Isabella feeling dizzy and queasy, desperately longing to vomit.

"Sebastian, put me down... you... please, stop!"

He paid no heed to her pleas, heading straight for the car.

Someone had already opened the car door for him.

"Sebastian, you... ah!"

Isabella was unceremoniously tossed into the car, ending up on the seat in a disheveled state, her vision obscured by stars.

"Drinking?" Sebastian stood by the car door, addressing her with a stern tone. "Wonderful!"

"I didn't..."

Isabella wanted to protest that she hadn't been drinking much, but as she opened her mouth, her stomach acids surged, and she couldn't finish her sentence before turning over and retching.

An overpowering odor filled the luxurious car instantly.

Sebastian's expression darkened like a storm cloud.

In reality, Isabella was only getting rid of her stomach's contents. She had vomited nearly everything she had consumed back at Willowbrook Estate. At the bar, she had nibbled on a few snacks but had not drunk much.

"Acting like this after a few drinks, and you claim there's nothing to worry about?" Sebastian queried. He slammed the car door, entered the driver's seat, and hit the gas. Isabella nearly tumbled off her seat.

She tried to sit up, but Sebastian was driving recklessly, overtaking vehicles and randomly honking his horn, frequently slamming the brakes. Just as she managed to sit up, she was flung back down.

The car was a luxury model, and other drivers dared not cross its path. Sebastian was navigating traffic with impunity, nonchalantly encroaching on everyone else's space. This was causing Isabella, trailing behind, great discomfort.

"Sebastian!" she exclaimed, suffering, "Can you please drive normally and let me finish... ah, let me finish my sentence..."

His response was succinct. "Shut up!"

Isabella felt like her insides were being churned, and she couldn't bear it any longer. After what seemed like an eternity, the car finally came to a halt.

Her head was spinning so severely that even standing proved challenging, let alone exiting the car. The dizziness was utterly intolerable.

Sebastian forcefully shut the car door, then made his way to the back seat where Isabella sat.

"Get out," he ordered, "quickly!"

Summoning the last remnants of her strength, Isabella managed to get up, though she still felt unsteady. It was only when her feet touched the firm ground that she started to regain her balance. However, she needed something to cling to in order to maintain her equilibrium.

In Sebastian's eyes, her condition appeared to mirror that of an inebriated person. Her cheeks were flushed, her hair was disheveled, her gaze was unfocused, and she swayed unsteadily. She appeared to be far from the present moment... but was it genuinely just drunkenness?

In reality, Isabella was merely dealing with dizziness and nausea.

As Sebastian reached out to touch her, Isabella skillfully avoided his hand. She turned away, bent at the waist, and began vomiting beside the car.

The butler, upon hearing the commotion, hurried over, uncertain of how to respond. "This, um... Mr. Lawrence..."

"Leave," Sebastian ordered, arms crossed, his tone frosty. "Regardless of what you hear, do not reappear!"

The butler had no choice but to comply and depart.

Isabella continued to vomit for a while before finally ceasing. She had no strength left in her body, so she simply settled onto the ground.
