Chapter 84 You Can Be Willful, Isabella

"Mr. Lawrence, someone is looking for Watson."

“I won’t see them.”

The butler looked at him. "Watson says you've detained Watson's young master..."

"Yes," Sebastian nodded. "I wanted to have Master Watson stay for a cup of tea, chat a bit, and calm Watson down."

“Mr. Lawrence, what’s going on?”

Sebastian turned and walked inside. "It's none of your concern."

"Mr. Lawrence, if it's because of Madam, I don't think you need to..."
"Shut up!" Sebastian slammed the door shut.

The last time, Grace secretly had someone knock Isabella unconscious and abandoned her in the wilderness. In the end, the Turner Family had made a scapegoat take all the blame and responsibility.

This incident made Sebastian extremely displeased. It was like leaving a knot behind that would occasionally resurface to torment him. If he let it go this time too, considering any interests or personal connections, how could he face Isabella?

It would be easy to hide it from her, but Sebastian couldn't deceive himself. He couldn't even protect his own woman, continuously allowing the real culprits to roam free and humiliate her. Was he still a man?

Sebastian walked to the window, opened it to let the wind in, lit a cigarette, and slowly smoked. Isabella also came out of the bathroom.

She sat in front of the dressing table, blowing her hair dry. The dull whirr of the hairdryer made Sebastian even more restless. He walked over.

Isabella saw Sebastian standing behind her through the mirror. "What's wrong?" She turned off the hairdryer and tried to turn around to look at him but was held back.

"Don't move," Sebastian said, taking the hairdryer from her hand. "I'll do it for you."

"... Can you?" she asked.

"I can learn."

Isabella laughed. He taught her to manage the company with decisiveness, taught her how to play cards, and now, she was teaching him how to be a good husband?

Seeing the faint dimple at the corner of her mouth, the restlessness in Sebastian's heart finally dissipated a little. No more suppression.

His slender fingers passed through her black hair, gently manipulating it. Holding the hairdryer, he was clumsy but serious as he blow-dried her hair.

This moment was peaceful and beautiful.

"Done." Sebastian turned the hairdryer off and looked at himself in the mirror as well. His fingertips slid from the end of her hair. "Are you satisfied?"

"If you become more skilled and stop pulling my hair the next time, then I might consider giving you a perfect score."

He raised his lips and let his hands slide down to her waist, lifting her up.

Isabella exclaimed in surprise, holding onto his neck and meeting his gaze.

Sebastian carried her back to the bed, lying at her side and burying his head in the crook of her neck...

She took a deep breath.

Having just showered, there was a faint yet captivating fragrance lingering on her body.

"Today you taught me how to play cards, and I taught you how to blow-dry hair..." Isabella looked at him. "Isn't that a fair trade?"

"Mhmm," Sebastian nodded. "Very fair."

"But..."
"But what?"

"You taught me how to maintain connections," Isabella said, "yet you didn't do that when dealing with Bob's matter today."

Sebastian stiffened slightly.

She continued, "Because I refused to forgive, you went along with me, right? If I considered your feelings, would it be like that..."

"Even if you had forgiven, I can't forgive," Sebastian interrupted her. "Isabella, I don't need you to consider my feelings in this.”

He lifted his head and met her gaze.

"Yeah...," she nodded. "You're so strong, why would you need me to worry about you?"

“He deserves to die.”

"If I were more sensible, more rational, and considered the overall situation, choosing to let Bob go..." Isabella said, "What would you do then?"

Sebastian seemed unwilling to continue discussing this topic and simply said, "The result will determine everything. I promised to give you an account, and I will definitely satisfy you."

“The result is up to you, Sebastian.”

"I don't want you to be sensible, and I don't want you to consider the overall situation," he pressed his lips together. "You can be willful, Isabella."

She laughed.

Few people had ever told her that she could be willful.

Her grandmother always said she hoped Isabella could be more willful, but reality didn't allow it, making things difficult for her to learn to be sensible.

Now, Sebastian told her this sentence, so confidently and powerfully.

She put both hands on his chest, grasping his wrinkled shirt. "I was really scared at that time. If he dragged me into the elevator, it would have been over... I really wished you would come quickly."

"It's alright, it's alright. You came, and you saved me. Otherwise, I couldn't imagine how he would have treated me after taking me away."

"After everything that has already happened, what do we do? Even if we tear him apart, it won't do any good, right?"

"I've only had one man in my life, Sebastian..."

Isabella never thought that there would be someone else trying to forcefully claim her. That feeling... must be more painful than death.

Sebastian tightened his arms, embracing her. “I can’t let you be alone anymore...”

"I always bring you trouble."

"I can't let you be alone anymore. You have to be within my sight at all times," Sebastian leaned down to her ear and whispered softly. "And you're not allowed to leave me without permission."

Isabella replied with grievance, “It was you who asked me to buy cigarettes...”

"Yes, it was my fault."

“Ah... I caused trouble again.”

"Finish your game," she suddenly remembered, "Did I interrupt something important for you?"

Seeing her like this, Sebastian couldn't help but laugh. "Only now do you realize it? Isn't it too late?"

"I..."

"While they were pleading for someone named Qi, you disregarded their dignity," Sebastian interrupted.

Isabella pursed her lips. "At that moment, all I wanted was to teach Bob a lesson. I didn't care about anything else."

"Isn't it just a matter of pride for yourself, Isabella?"

"Yes," she admitted, "Someone like Bob must have done a lot of bad things. If it were any other girl, she would have been ruined by him today. He needs to learn a lesson and stop harming others."

"You're thinking ahead."

"In the end, I'm just someone without power or background. If, one day, I were to experience such inhumane treatment..."

Sebastian silenced her by tapping her lips. "Don't say anymore. The Qi family won't be able to protect him, I assure you."

His words were always followed by actions, never false promises.

Now, he used the word "assure," which brought her a sense of relief.

There was a slight callus on his fingers, the result of years of writing, giving them a rough texture.
