Chapter 398 Is It Fetal Movement?

This was the power of a mother; Isabella had to stand up for her child.

One punishment like this was enough.

"Yes!" Carl straightened his back unconsciously and responded loudly.

He felt proud; Willowbrook Estate truly had a mistress now.

Isabella's voice resonated loudly, reaching the servants standing in front of the basement, who could hear her words clearly.

There was no need for Carl to relay the message; they all shouted together, "Yes!"

Isabella nodded and gave a slight smile.

Then, her gaze returned to Carl. "At the bedroom door, there's some information I've organized. Take it to the Lawrence House."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Besides," Isabella said as she walked towards the car outside, "There's no need to tell Sebastian about today's events. He's in a meeting, and I don't want to distract him. I'll go to the company at noon and tell him myself."

Carl followed her and saw her off to the car. "Yes, ma'am."

"Ma'am, ma'am." Ruth struggled to get up, twisting her head and shouting in the direction Isabella was leaving. "I was wrong, ma'am. I know I was wrong. Please forgive me, please!"

However, no one responded.

The bodyguards pressed her back to the floor.

Several servants passed by her, casting disdainful glances at her as if she were worthless trash, avoiding her as much as possible.

Isabella got into the car, which slowly drove away.

She rolled down the window, breathing in the outside air.

Soon, Isabella adjusted her mood.

She was actually quite happy.

'Evidence!'

'Isn't this evidence?'

The fact that Lynda instructed Ruth to tamper with the brakes was substantial evidence of the connection between Lynda and Grace.

At noon, she would tell Sebastian about this. Surely, Lynda wouldn't be smug for long.

Isabella gently rubbed her belly, her gaze filled with undisguised love.

She silently said in her heart, 'Babies, Mom and Dad will definitely find the culprit and bring them to justice.'

Suddenly, at that moment, something lightly bumped against Isabella's palm.

Very lightly.

But so clearly.

Isabella froze, not moving an inch.

She was instantly stiff.

Was this fetal movement?

Tears welled up in Isabella's eyes, and her eyes immediately became moist.

She was extremely excited.

She quickly took out her phone and found Sebastian's number.

Isabella couldn't wait to share this good news with Sebastian!

Sharing every little thing about the baby with the one you love was simply a kind of happiness!

With her heart pounding, Isabella dialed the number.

After one ring, she quickly hung up.

Sebastian was in a meeting; she should wait. She couldn't always disturb his work.

Isabella put down her phone, occasionally tapping her belly, softly coaxing, "Move again, babies."

All the way, Isabella kept coaxing.

Unfortunately, the two babies were very aloof and didn't respond to her.

'Just wait until you're born, see how I deal with you!' Isabella thought to herself.

"Ma'am, we're here." The driver in front smiled at Isabella through the rearview mirror.

Outside the car, the manager of the jewelry store was already waiting.

Sebastian had arranged everything.

Isabella got out of the car, politely greeted the manager, and followed him into the store.

As soon as she entered, she ran into Samuel.

"Miss Wallace, what a coincidence." Samuel commented, seemingly examining rings. As soon as he noticed her, he ceased his conversation with the salesperson and greeted her.

He still wore that superficial smile.

Isabella had a distant smile on her face. "Samuel, long time no see."

"It seems Miss Wallace has recovered well." Samuel glanced at Isabella's rosy cheeks.

Isabella was slightly taken aback by Samuel's words and somewhat surprised.

Samuel knew about her hospitalization?

Samuel leaned against the counter. "Mr. Lawrence didn't tell you that I saved you?"

"You saved me?" Isabella was surprised. A few seconds later, her pupils contracted. "Blood transfusion?"

"You gave me the blood?"

Last time, Amber mentioned the blood transfusion but didn't name the donor.

Isabella hadn't expected such a coincidence.

At the same time, a thought arose.

Amber said the person who donated blood did so because Lynda asked him to.

So, Lynda knew Samuel. Not only did they know each other, but they also had a particularly good relationship.

Therefore, Lynda couldn't get Grace out of jail, but Samuel could!

Everything suddenly became clear.

"You didn't even know about this? It seems." Samuel smiled with a hint of ambiguity. "Mr. Lawrence has kept quite a few things from you."

Isabella looked at him, knowing he was referring to Sebastian hiding the identity of the blood donor.

But was it just that?

Isabella glanced at Samuel indifferently and saw pity and sympathy in his eyes.

Why?

What did she need to be pitied for?

A customer came to pick up a custom diamond ring, and the door opened, letting in a gust of autumn wind that hit Isabella's back.

Immediately, she felt a chill.

The cold wind penetrated her skin, seeped into her flesh, and drilled into her bones.

Isabella couldn't help but shiver.

Her phone rang.

It was Sebastian calling.

She nodded to Samuel and turned her back to him to answer the call.

"Why did you hang up after just one ring?" On the other end, Sebastian's magnetic voice sounded even more three-dimensional through the phone.

The chill dissipated, and Isabella lowered her head, a smile forming on her lips.

"I suddenly remembered you were in a meeting," Isabella said, "I didn't want to disturb you."

"Why are you so good?" Sebastian asked her, and she could hear the smile in his voice.

Isabella smiled even more happily. After a few simple words with Sebastian, she easily forgot the people around her, her heart full of Sebastian.

She asked, "Is your meeting over?"

"No, it's a break."

"Then find a chair and sit down." Isabella leaned against the counter, her arm casually resting on the glass, her finger tapping the surface. "I have something very important to tell you."

"What is it?"

Accompanied by Sebastian's curious voice, there was the sound of a chair being moved to the other end.

It sounded like Sebastian was really sitting down properly.

Thinking of Sebastian's obedient look at this moment, Isabella became lively and felt extremely warm inside.

She placed her palm on her belly, her smile as gentle as a breeze. "The baby moved. Your baby just moved."

"Fetal movement?"

Just two words, but Sebastian was extremely shocked.
