Chapter 71 Bella, Call My Name

When Isabella heard the words "my" and "mine," she burst into tears. Her sobbing made Sebastian, despite himself, want to bully her even more.

Is she his Bella? Is she?

Almost involuntarily, she clung to him, her fingers weaving through his thick black hair, wanting to say something but only managing to cry.

"Say my name," Sebastian repeated, leaning down to look into her eyes and gently kissing her. "Bella, say my name."

"Sebastian... Sebastian..."

"Say it again."

"Sebastian... Sebastian."

Isabella's hair was in disarray.

She felt so ashamed, having sunk to this point where she was being bullied by Sebastian... and unable to get out of bed?!?

The curtains were drawn, allowing a faint ray of light to filter in. It was already cold all around.

Isabella struggled to move her body, finally reaching for her phone and grabbing it. As she looked at it...

What? It's already 11 o'clock? It's 11 o'clock now?!?

No wonder Sebastian wasn't here! He must have gone to the company!

Even if the sky were falling, Sebastian would never let it delay him from going to the Lawrence Group.

At least, Isabella had never seen him stay in bed or procrastinate before going to the office.

Successful people... are all so diligent, huh?

Isabella lay on the bed for a while, unable to get up. In her frustration, she picked up her phone and sent a message to Sebastian: "This will deplete your kidney!"

Just as she sent it, she stared at the chat window and wondered. Sebastian, being such a busy person, wouldn't be bored enough to constantly stare at WeChat on his phone, right?

She was about to exit and check her Moments when her phone suddenly rang, startling her to the point that she almost threw it away.

"Hello... hello? What's up?"

"Awake?" Sebastian's deep and magnetic voice came from the other end. "Just woke up?"

Isabella didn't answer, only asking, "Why are you suddenly calling me?"

"Didn't you contact me first?"

"Sebastian," Isabella gritted her teeth and said resentfully, "being so excessive like this, you really will deplete your kidney."

"Well, you can give it a try and see if you're capable of draining me."

"... "

Indeed, Isabella didn't have that capability. Instead, she felt that Sebastian would be the one to drain her.

"Why didn't you wake me up before going to the office?" She started to find other excuses. "I am also an employee at the Lawrence Group. How will my colleagues view me if I absentmindedly skip work like this?"

"Shall I buy them afternoon tea today?"

"Sebastian! I'm serious!"

"I called you," he replied. "But you were sleeping so soundly, not moving an inch. I tried..."
"There was no other way, I had to get up first,"

Isabella said disbelievingly, "Is that true or false?"

"False," Sebastian replied honestly, "I wanted you to rest a bit longer. Even if you woke up, you wouldn't be able to get out of bed. Do you want me to buy some medicine for you?"

She shouted into her phone, "You ghost! All you know is to apply medicine! Once I apply medicine, you'll immediately ruin it again! Damn it! I'm so frustrated!"

After venting, she hung up the phone.

Just as she hung up, another call immediately came through, the transition was seamless.

"Hello, Emily?"

"Isabella, I knew you would have some extraordinary means after marrying into a wealthy family. Your success knows no bounds," Emily's excited voice came through, "Today, I was transferred from the sales department at Souther Mansion to the dubbing studio for animated films!"

Only then did Isabella remember that it was because of Emily that she was left in the resting room by Sebastian...she wasn't focused on her work.

She sacrificed herself for her best friend.

Sebastian's demand last night...

She suddenly turned her head, opened her pillow, and searched for that black card.

"Are you even listening to me?!" Emily said, "Not only did I get transferred, but I also have a high basic salary, and the dubbing royalties are extra. Isabella, turning a hobby into a profession that can support oneself, isn't that amazing?"

"Ah...that's great, congratulations..." Isabella replied absentmindedly, still searching for the black card.

"To celebrate and thank you for whispering in Mr. Lawrence's ear, let's have dinner at our usual spot tonight!"

"Okay." Isabella agreed immediately, "I'm also working at the Lawarence Group now, so it'll be more convenient to meet in the future."

"What? You're working at the Lawarence Group? What kind of work are you doing? Being the lady boss?" Emily said, "Or are you Sebastian's spoiled little wife, keeping him entertained?"

Emily really says whatever comes to her mind.

Luckily, they were talking over the phone; otherwise, Isabella would have blushed for sure.

"I won't tell you anymore. Just focus on your work, and I did my best for you," Isabella replied, "Don't tease me too much from now on, got it?"

"Yes, yes, Mrs. Lawrence, my lady boss. Whatever you say..."

"I can't be bothered."

Finally, Isabella found the black card in her blanket.

A limitless card that she could swipe freely with no restrictions, she could buy out an entire mall without any problem!

If she only loved money, Isabella thought, if she only loved money, she wouldn't have so many ups and downs, and her mood would only fluctuate with the digits in her bank account.

"Anniversary..."

She recalled Sebastian's words from last night as he teased her, bringing her shock when he uttered these five words.

He clearly didn't love her, but he showed so much care...

And he wouldn't love her, yet he did so many things that made her think he had her in his heart...

It was torturous, twisting and turning, weighing heavily on her mind, itching at her heart, but she couldn't get a proper answer.

Isabella dragged her exhausted body to the bathroom and took a relaxing bath, which helped her recover a bit.

However, instead of going directly to Lawrence Group, she went to the mall.

Standing in front of the perfume counter, she smelled several scents and carefully selected a suitable perfume for Emily as her welcome gift.

After all...she had money now, giving off an air of newly acquired wealth.

While she was sniffing, a refreshing and elegant scent suddenly wafted over from the side, subtly long-lasting, not a popular one that would clash with others, and it had a floral note...it smelled really good, unforgettable even.

Who had such great taste?

“Brittany?” Isabella turned her head, “What a coincidence.”

"It's you? Are you here to buy perfume too?" Brittany smiled, "What a small world, Mrs. Lawrence."

“You can call me Isabella or Bella, no need to be so formal.”

Brittany nodded, "Alright. By the way, I've known Sebastian for many years, so when you two have your wedding, I'll definitely attend as a witness."
