Chapter 478 Are You Worthy of Taking My Child?
After she cleaned up the mess and washed up, twenty minutes had flown by.
Isabella sniffled, her pale face looking more and more worn out, like a wilting rose losing its shine.
She gave her cheeks a few pats in front of the mirror to bring some color back before leaving the bathroom.
It was 5:30 in the morning, still super early. Outside, it was pitch black and eerily quiet. The vast Willowbrook Estate was still asleep.
Isabella tiptoed to open the door, her small figure moving slowly from the first floor to the second, gently pushing open the study door.
She went to the printer and printed out more than a dozen copies of the divorce agreement.
Then, Isabella sat at the desk, picked up a pen, and signed the divorce agreements one by one.
Even though it wasn't much, Isabella felt exhausted, collapsing onto the desk, unable to hold the pen any longer.
She closed her eyes in fatigue, feeling cool liquid running down her cheeks.
Isabella sniffled and wiped it lightly, realizing it was tears.
Tears flowed down, wetting the divorce agreement.
Isabella didn't mind that she was unknowingly shedding tears, as if it were a daily occurrence.
She calmly wiped away the tears, crumpled the top paper stained with tears into a ball, and threw it into the trash can, walking out with the signed divorce agreements.
Coincidentally, as Isabella left the study, she ran into Sebastian coming out of the master bedroom.
Isabella was stunned.
She thought, 'So, he did sleep with Lynda.'
She hadn't expected to run into him and instinctively wanted to run, to escape, but why should she?
She would have to face him sooner or later and put an end to all of this.
It was around 6:30 in the morning, the sun had just risen, and the eastern sky was tinged with a warm orange hue.
The light shone on everything, penetrating the glass, falling on Sebastian and his face, his features distinct and perfectly contoured.
Sebastian was still very handsome, but Isabella had no interest in admiring him.
She walked up to Sebastian, swiftly handed him the divorce agreement, and said proactively, "Do you have time? Can you sign it?"
Sebastian had noticed Isabella early on and was somewhat surprised. Isabella always loved to sleep in, especially after getting pregnant.
Every time she lazed in bed, she looked like a cute kitten, soft and charming, making it hard for him to look away.
He wondered why she got up so early.
It wasn't until he saw the paper handed by Isabella, that Sebastian understood her reason for getting up early.
She got up to print the divorce agreement.
"Since you're sleeping with Lynda, don't let her be wronged. Sign it, and I'll make room for you two," Isabella said flatly. "It's good for everyone."
Sebastian was very angry. He looked into Isabella's clear amber eyes and lightly curled his lips.
He adjusted his tie while taking the divorce agreement from Isabella's hand.
Holding the agreement in front of him, Sebastian coldly raised an eyebrow, asking her, "Leaving with nothing?"
Isabella nodded, "Yes, I won't take any of your assets. You can rest assured. So, just take a few minutes to sign it."
Sebastian kept staring at the paper. "Are you taking the kid?"
"Yeah," Isabella admitted. "There are plenty of women who can give you children. I don't think you need this one that much."
"Isabella," Sebastian's voice had a hint of anger, "All the help I gave the Wallace family and you was for nothing?"
Isabella couldn't believe Sebastian had the nerve to say that, acting like some kind of savior.
She'd always quietly listened to Sebastian's words, which poked at her nerves, stabbing at her softest and most vulnerable heart.
She bit her lip, a flash of hatred in her eyes.
"And besides," Sebastian continued, not holding back, "Do you really think you're fit to take my child?"
Isabella's face burned, her heart feeling like it was being roasted on a grill.
She thought, 'Sebastian is truly despicable.'
She had no energy to argue with him, nor did she want to, so she simply said, "Even if I'm not fit, my child still came from my womb. I gave birth to it. Sebastian, sign it. You've got Lynda. Her heart condition isn't as serious as you think. You two can have a child of your own."
"I can't bear to let her give birth," Sebastian said, leisurely tearing up the agreement.
He sneered, thinking to himself, 'This time, I'll give you the most painful blow, so you'll never dare to defy me again! A few days ago, I was too soft-hearted!'
He wanted her to feel what it was like without his protection. To make her understand, she must never go against him!
The paper scraps scattered like snowflakes in the air.
Isabella was hit in the face by the paper scraps.
Time seemed to freeze, Sebastian's actions slow and disdainful. Isabella was very reluctant to admit that her dignity had once again been trampled under Sebastian's feet.
"You can't be so domineering. Not everything can go your way. If you can't bear it, you can find someone else." Isabella took out another agreement and handed it to Sebastian. "I printed many copies. You can tear as many as you want. But please, sign one. I'm begging you."
Isabella lowered her head, not seeing the intense anger in Sebastian's eyes.
"Why are you talking at the door?" Suddenly, Lynda's voice cut in. "You can come in and talk."
Isabella slowly raised her head.
Lynda was wearing her pajamas, black and very sexy, clearly outlining her figure.
Since getting pregnant, Isabella hadn't worn anything like that, always opting for loose and conservative clothes.
But not wearing them didn't mean her clothes could be used by others.
Isabella wanted to ask Sebastian, he was so wealthy, did he really need Lynda to wear her clothes?
Didn't he find it disgusting?
The words reached her lips, but Isabella swallowed them back. After all, it was all bought with Sebastian's money, so whatever, she didn't care.
Those expensive clothes never really belonged to her.
"No," Isabella raised her head, looking directly at Sebastian. "Just five minutes..."
Before she could finish, Sebastian averted his gaze.
In front of Isabella, he wrapped his arm around Lynda's waist, affectionately asking, "Have you packed everything?"
Lynda glanced at Isabella's stiff face.
Women understood women best. Even if Isabella hid it well, Lynda could see how much Isabella was hurting.
She felt extremely pleased, curling up shyly in Sebastian's arms, her chin resting on his chest, looking up and saying, "Yes, everything's packed."
