Chapter 295 Cursed by the Lawrence Family

Mr. Lawrence Senior was spirited and full of vigor. He greeted, "Isabella, my dear, where are you? I sent someone to pick you up at Willowbrook Estate. Why weren't you home?"
"Grandpa Lawrence, I just finished work," Isabella asked, "Do you need anything? I can come by myself."
Mr. Lawrence Senior smiled and said, "All right, you are waiting at the company. I'll send someone to get you. As for the matter, it's about the old mansion; you'll find out soon."
Isabella guessed it was about the announcement of her identity. She replied, "All right, see you later, Grandpa Lawrence."
After hanging up and putting away her mobile, she asked Brittany, "Brittany, what did you say earlier?"
Brittany thought about it again and felt it wasn't a big deal, so she shook her head and said, "It's probably not a big deal. Do you have something to do later?"
"Yes, Grandpa Lawrence asked me to go to the old mansion," Isabella said. "I'll wait in the lobby. You don't have to worry about me. You can go back first, get some rest, and if things get too overwhelming, have a good cry. There's always a solution to every problem."
Brittany smiled and said, "All right."
Isabella bid farewell to Brittany, and soon after, the car from the old mansion arrived.
As Isabella expected, Mr. Lawrence Senior had indeed called her to announce her identity the day after tomorrow.
"Isabella, come here," Mr. Lawrence Senior beckoned as soon as Isabella entered, his gaze shifting away from the invitation.
"Grandpa Lawrence!" she greeted.
Mr. Lawrence Senior wore his reading glasses and warmly waved at Isabella, saying, "Come and see if I have forgotten any of your relatives or friends."
After putting on his glasses, Mr. Lawrence Senior exuded a scholarly aura, exceptionally refined, much like a highly respected professor.
"Grandpa, whatever arrangement you make is fine," Isabella said respectfully. "Please don't worry about me and Sebastian. It's a little dim in the evening, and it's not good for your eyes."
"Oh, it's fine. I can manage now."
Mr. Lawrence Senior chuckled and pushed his glasses up on his nose. "I must handle this matter well and let everyone in Maple Valley know that you are the wife of our Lawrence family!"
Every time Isabella sat with Mr. Lawrence Senior, who was as kind and approachable as Grandma Wallace, her heart felt incredibly warm.
She could sense that he genuinely cared for her.

Unfortunately, this respected and beloved old man was not her real relative. She and everyone in the Lawrence family were connected by fate but not by blood.
"It's embarrassing that you and Sebastian got married in such a hurry without having a formal meal with your elders. It's a good opportunity for both families to sit down together and have a chat while dinner." he apologized.
Hearing this, Isabella quickly waved her hand and said, "There's no need. It's too much trouble."
Isabella felt that her marriage with Sebastian wouldn't last long, and there was no need to make it a public spectacle.
Now that she had decided to announce her identity, she had no choice. She was destined to live the rest of her life as the abandoned wife of a wealthy family.
However, she didn't want the Wallace family to get involved, especially Grandma Wallace, who was getting old, and all the drama would surely be too much for her.
Mr. Lawrence Senior immediately objected, "No, just do as I said."
Isabella compromised and said, "Then, Grandpa Lawrence, please don't tell Grandma Wallace, who has just recovered, that it wouldn't be good for her to run around. How about this?"
Mr. Lawrence Senior smiled and complimented, his face full of warmth, "Good child, I'll listen to you."
Isabella smiled and accompanied Mr. Lawrence Senior in inspecting the invitations. After having a meal with him, she returned to the Willowbrook Estate.
The next day, as she woke up and went downstairs, she saw Amber sitting on the sofa, reading a script.
Amber was dressed in a white chiffon dress, with her waist-length hair exuding elegance as she leaned on the couch. She was so beautiful that Isabella didn't want to disturb her, not wanting to ruin the lovely scene.
"Isabella, you're awake," Amber said. She glanced at Isabella and put down the script, getting up to greet her. The clock on the wall pointed to 9.00 a.m., which made Isabella feel a bit embarrassed. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
Amber waved her hand casually, explaining, "We're so close; you can sleep as much as you want. Besides, my little nephew and niece love to sleep, too. As their aunt, I have to take care of the little ones." Isabella really liked Amber, not only because she was incredibly beautiful but also because she was always so caring and understanding.
Secondly, she is very likable, pure, and sunny, never making people feel awkward.
For example, now, she can joke about being a bedhead and attribute it to the children, which shows her high emotional intelligence.
"Amber, don't you have to film today?" Isabella personally handed Amber a cup of coffee.
Amber confidently said, "Whatever it is, it can't compare to tomorrow. Isabella will shine and steal the show!"
Isabella chuckled, "Will you accompany me for shopping?"
Amber's eyes lit up, nodding continuously and saying, "Yes."
She patted her chest and assured, "Isabella, believe me, tomorrow, I guarantee that I will make Sebastian regret exposing you and make him jealous."
"No need, no need." Isabella waved her hand, "Just wear any evening gown. There are still many in the wardrobe that haven't been worn."
Although girls dress up for the boys they like, the incident with the lighter was embarrassing enough. Isabella didn't want to go out of her way to please Sebastian again.
But she couldn't resist Amber's insistence. Amber blinked at her and coquettishly whispered, and she gave in.
In the upscale private studio, as professionals were styling Isabella, she sighed helplessly. She was sure she had been deceived by the Lawrence family, one by one, all trying to seduce her.
She was not only tempted but also unable to refuse.
Isabella smiled at Amber in resignation.
Amber stuck out her tongue and took out her phone. She encouraged, "Come on, beautiful, give me a smile."
Isabella wasn't an introvert, so she tilted her head, lifted her skirt, and smiled.
"Margaret," after Amber took the photo, she asked the wardrobe assistant, "Didn't you mention a wine-red dress a few days ago?"
"Amber, who is this? A newcomer in the entertainment industry?" Margaret observed Isabella, who was having her hair done, and said, "I think Amber, you've found a newcomer who is no less than you. You have a great eye."
"Of course, someone's taste is truly commendable," Amber proudly replied.
Margaret asked, "Someone?"
Amber raised her chin and answered with great satisfaction, "She's not entering the entertainment industry. Stop staring, or someone might get angry and hit you. Go and fetch it quickly."
Since Amber said so, Margaret naturally withdrew her gaze and quickly went to fetch the dress.
After Isabella finished her hairstyle, she took the dress from Amber, feeling stiff like a puppet.
She tried on one dress after another, and she was starting to sweat.
