Chapter 113 It’s Your Foolishness, Isabella!
Let the two of them do whatever they want!
Isabella has done what she needed to do and said what she needed to say. The rest... is not something she can control.
Honestly, she's stubbornly demanding a result, just wanting to know, in Sebastian's heart, who is more important, her or Lynda.
How foolish.
It’s definitely Lynda, the woman he deeply loves and cares for.
But sometimes, women are like this, they won't turn back until they hit a wall. They might even hit their head and bleed, but still not wake up.
In the living room, Lynda asked softly, "Did I do something wrong?"
"...You should go home," Sebastian turned around, facing her, "I'll have a car send you."
"But what about Bob's matter..."
"I will negotiate with Isabella."
Lynda asked, "You want to get her consent, right?"
"Yes," Sebastian nodded, "Don't you also want that?"
"Yes, yes, I do... I hope for that," Lynda responded, "So, Sebastian, I'm counting on you."
"Alright."
Lynda reminded him again, "Don't force her and don't make decisions without her consent, regardless of my reasons. Consider her feelings too."
"If she still doesn't forgive Bob, what are you going to do?"
"...I've done my best," Lynda lowered her head, "I thought this matter... could be resolved peacefully."
Sebastian raised his hand and gently touched her head. "Go home. If there's anything, call me anytime."
But Lynda hugged him straight away, tiptoed, and planted a kiss on his lips.
"I will miss you," she said, "Sebastian, from now on, we can meet regularly. Just the thought of it makes me so happy. I'm finally not alone anymore."
Seeing Lynda's happy smile, Sebastian's heart was filled with mixed emotions.
He personally saw Lynda off into the car, watching it drive out of Willowbrook Estate before turning back to the dining room.
Isabella was almost finished eating.
When she saw him, she just glanced at him and continued eating, "Lynda left?"
"Yeah."
"It's strange that you didn't leave with her. And you came back so quickly, it's not logical."
Sebastian furrowed his brows.
"At least give a farewell kiss or something."
"Put your sarcasm away Isabella."
Isabella gently placed her chopsticks down, "Did I say something wrong? Fine, you enjoy your meal, I won't bother you anymore. I'm done eating too."
She got up and left.
The soft wool carpet absorbed the sound of her footsteps.
However, before Isabella had taken two steps, she heard a loud clatter of chopsticks falling behind her, followed by the clear sound of plates colliding.
The servant nearby was startled, not daring to interrupt their quarrel.
Isabella was startled by Sebastian's outburst. Why was he getting so angry...? As she turned back to see what was happening, she accidentally collided with Sebastian's chest. Before she could react, Sebastian had already grabbed her wrist tightly and was leading her quickly upstairs.
"Mr. Lawrence...," Isabella tried to speak.
"Shut up! " He snapped.
His steps were too fast and urgent, and Isabella couldn't keep up with him. She could only jog behind him. She was wearing slippers, so she couldn't run. After a few steps, her slipper fell off.
Isabella didn't even have a chance to put it back on. She was dragged into the master bedroom by Sebastian, barefoot.
He kicked the door shut with a loud bang, causing the entire villa to tremble.
"What are you doing? What's gotten into you?!" Isabella finally managed to free her hand and looked at the red mark on her wrist caused by Sebastian's grip. "Have I done something to provoke or irritate you?"
Sebastian stared at her, his eyes filled with bloodshot veins. "What exactly do you want? Tell me!"
"What do I want? I haven't done anything. I was perfectly fine at home when she suddenly came here, to this house, and apologized to me, out of the blue, asking me to let Bob go!"
"She didn't force you."
"She did something even more cunning than forcing me!"
Isabella realized that she had underestimated Lynda. Despite her gentle and kind appearance, she was far from simple. Isabella couldn't afford to underestimate Lynda.
"Even after Lynda left, she told me not to trouble you, not to force you, and not to make you forgive." Sebastian said. "And what about you, Isabella? Think carefully about what you have said and done."
"Are you saying that if I don't immediately accept the apology and forgive Bob, I am being stubborn, unreasonable, picking a fight on purpose?"
Isabella's voice was piercing, and veins stood out on her neck. She, too, was furious. She decided to let out all the anger she had built up since yesterday and throughout today. Otherwise, she might suffocate!
Let's argue, argue until everything is turned upside down!
The butler, servants downstairs, and even the security outside heard the argument.
Mr. Lawrence and his wife are quarreling, and it's getting intense!
Sebastian reached out and grabbed her shoulder. In his anger, he exerted more force than he intended, not paying much attention to it.
Isabella felt the pain but didn't make a sound. Sebastian didn't notice either. In fact, the pressure on her shoulder kept increasing, almost crushing her shoulder blade.
"No one forced you. Neither Lynda nor did I. It's you, Isabella, who is being unreasonable here!"
Unreasonable? Isabella couldn't help but laugh in frustration. "Where exactly am I being unreasonable? Tell me! Where am I picking a fight?"
"Go ahead and speak!"
As she continued, she couldn't help but feel indignant, "If I'm being unreasonable, I would just kick Lynda out! Why does she think she can meddle in the feud between me and the Watson family? If I'm causing a scene, I will make sure you punish Bob and not give Lynda any respect!"
"You've always been quick-witted, no one can outsmart you."
"I am in the right," Isabella replied, "that's why you can't argue against me!"
Sebastian pulled her closer, "Do you really have to argue like this?"
"What do you want?" Isabella retorted, looking straight into his eyes, "Do you want me to let Bob go and please Lynda?"
Sebastian's gaze darkened, "I don't have such intentions."
"But now you're trying to convince me to do so, just so you can take credit in front of your beloved."
"Isabella, let's focus on our matters and not bring Lynda into this."
"But it's because of her involvement that the issue with Bob has resurfaced," Isabella said, "Otherwise, we would do whatever we wanted, right?"
Sebastian pursed his lips.
This situation... was indeed tricky for him.
Isabella shrugged off his hands that had been gripping her shoulders, "Sebastian, you don't have to try to persuade me with reasoning or attempt to bribe me with any benefits. Just be straightforward, if you want to let him go, say it."
