Chapter 302 Escaping the Banquet for the Loved One

Amber circled outside the door several times, thinking, but never knocked.
In this situation, Isabella is the victim.
She can't just have Sebastian in mind and not Isabella.
Amber decided to bring up the matter again tomorrow. She took out her phone, walked toward the bedroom, and called Sebastian.
She didn't believe she couldn't contact him today!
Inside the room, Isabella went straight to bed as she came in.
She closed her eyes, emptied her mind, and hypnotized herself over and over to fall asleep.
Sadness, heartache, and pain are all her affairs, and she should not involve the babies. The mood swings are too great, and it's uncertain that she might... have a miscarriage.
Isabella dared not joke about the two precious babies.
She's fine.
It's not a big deal.
The truth she had known for a long time should not bother her. She should be stronger, even stronger.
Isabella kept encouraging herself, imposing thoughts on herself.
In the back door of the Lawrence family's old mansion, there is an inconspicuous car parked. Its black color blends into the vast night, not drawing any attention.
The driver's window rolled down, and a faint white mist wafted out.
After the smoke dissipated, a handsome profile could be vaguely seen.
The person in the car is none other than Sebastian.
In the aromatic smoke, Sebastian chuckled self-deprecatingly.
He suddenly felt like... a joke.
He left Isabella alone, yet worried that Isabella couldn't handle it on her own or leave.
In fact, Sebastian never intended to let her handle it alone. If Isabella showed even a hint of pain, he would immediately return and give her back her rightful position and respect.
But the result...
Isabella was not affected at all. She quickly and calmly handled the whole thing, leaving no room for error, and successfully used Grandpa Lawrence's apology.
With Grandpa Lawrence's favor, she still appeared as the radiant Second Madam of the Lawrence family, now the only mistress of the Lawrence family.
The phone beside him kept buzzing, one call after another from Amber. Sebastian took out the SIM card.
The car finally fell silent. Sebastian bit the cigarette butt, hands gripping the steering wheel, his indifferent gaze fixed on a room on the second floor.
The light stayed on for a while, then went off a few minutes later, without any ripples, very calm.
That bedroom is where Sebastian grew up. He has a strong possessiveness over his personal space. Even after moving out of the old mansion, he installed surveillance in that room.
The day Sebastian installed the surveillance, he never imagined that he would use it to watch his wife in the future secretly.
He didn't ask for much, just a little bit of care.
Unfortunately, in the footage, Isabella was peacefully lying in bed, covered with a thin blanket, with her expression relaxed, sleeping soundly.
Sebastian's phone was almost crushed in an instant.
How could she be so indifferent? What kind of indifference allows her to be so oblivious?
Sebastian's arm tensed, the veins on his forehead pulsating.
After a while, Sebastian smiled.
What was he expecting? Not loving is fine, and deception is fine. These are facts that cannot be changed.
The black car, like a crouching leopard, sped away, gradually disappearing into the distance.
Behind, a luxury car followed closely.
Inside the car, Lynda bit her lip, clasped her hands, and whispered to the driver, "Be cautious; don't get caught."
Sebastian's car finally stopped outside the Mystic River Tavern, which is one of Joshua's properties.
As Sebastian's car stopped, a waiter immediately approached.
Sebastian threw the keys to him, his face stern, and walked into the bar.
He looked gloomy and unhappy, and the manager nervously greeted him.
"Mr. Lawrence, you're here. Are you alone?" the manager asked.
Sebastian coldly replied, "As usual."
After that, he didn't say anything and headed toward the second-floor private room.
The Mystic River Tavern catered to an upscale crowd, and the manager, well-connected and astute, has many relationships with the second generation. Tonight, he probably knows what happened in the Lawrence family.
Rumors had it that Mr. Lawrence left the banquet for his beloved. Shouldn't he be looking for her now? Why did he come to the bar?
However, the manager didn't dare to inquire about the boss's private life.
This gentleman has a very close relationship with the higher-ups. If he is not careful, he could be fired.
The manager waved his hand, instructing the bartender to serve drinks according to Sebastian's usual preferences.
In the private room, Sebastian lay on the sofa with his legs crossed, holding a cigarette in his hand.
He had already taken off his tie, and his suit jacket was casually thrown on the counter. A few buttons of his shirt were undone, and as he exhaled smoke, his Adam's apple moved.
In the dim and mysterious bar, he appeared even more sexy.
When the bartender came in to serve the drinks, all he saw was this handsome man.
Everyone loves to look at a handsome man, and the bartender is momentarily stunned.
"If you don't want your eyes, just gouge them out." He said in a deep, hoarse voice.
Although there was no emotion mixed in, the bartender felt his legs tremble and quickly lowered his head, obediently offering the drinks, "Mr. Lawrence."
The bartender didn't dare to stay for another second and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead before running off.
Inside the room, Sebastian downed a glass of strong liquor, completely shattering his composed facade and revealing a fierce expression.
His eyes, sharp as a knife, emitted a chilling light as he repeatedly filled up and finished his glass, forming a repetitive cycle.
The alcohol was strong, and after a few drinks, his stomach burned, feeling hot.
But this slight pain was nothing compared to the suffocating ache in his heart; it was simply insignificant, not enough to suppress it.
With a loud sound of crack, Sebastian forcefully crushed the glass in his hand, closed his eyes, and smirked mockingly.
Shards of glass pierced his palm, blood oozing out, but he seemed completely indifferent.
At this moment, scenes of Isabella celebrating his birthday with him a few days ago kept replaying in his mind.
Even if he destroyed the side room, trying to uproot the memories, he couldn't forget or kill them.
Sebastian remembered it all very clearly.
The taste of the sweet cake still lingered in his mouth.
His heart still remembered the rapid rate at which it was beating.
He could still recall the misty shyness in Isabella's cool eyes.
But unfortunately, it was all a lie.
As beautiful as the memories were, the reality was equally cruel.
A sharp pain intensified in Sebastian's chest.
But how could Sebastian admit that he was heartbroken over a deceitful woman?
However, getting drunk for a woman seemed even more disgraceful.
Sebastian had never imagined that such a thing would happen to him.
The feeling of being emotionally manipulated, of losing control, made Sebastian uneasy and angry, so he opened another bottle of wine and drank straight from it.
When the bottle was empty, Sebastian, in a drunken stupor, dialed the internal line and asked for more alcohol to be brought to him.
