Chapter 384 I Curse You to Die

Pemela looked around, blushing, gripping tightly, lowering her head, and nodding slightly.

"Who's there?" a stern voice called from inside the room.

Samuel exchanged a serious glance with Pemela, scanned the area, and slipped into the bathroom across the hall.

As soon as the bathroom door closed, his smile disappeared.

A sinister look crossed Samuel's usually cheerful face. He gritted his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead.

Disgusting man.

Samuel closed his eyes, feeling a sharp pain in his chest. He hadn't expected to hear such things after rushing over to help Lynda move her luggage.

Good and bad, truth and lies—Lynda, who seemed so malicious, was actually the purest person in his heart.

For someone so despicable, he had confronted Sebastian, schemed for her, and hurt innocent people. Even though the car accident wasn't his fault, he had released Grace. He was an indirect murderer.

Samuel swallowed hard. After a moment, he clenched his teeth and opened his eyes, now cold.

Sebastian heard the noise outside and asked, only to hear Pemela respond, "It's me. Mr. Lawrence, Miss Baker, do you need lunch prepared?"

"No need."

Sebastian pried Lynda's fingers off one by one, coldly warning her, "I don't care if you're with Samuel or have other plans. You must leave Maple Valley within a week. Don't make me send you away."

With that, Sebastian strode off.

"Sebastian!" Lynda staggered and stomped her foot She then ran to the window, opened it, and shouted, "Come back! Come back!"

She climbed onto the window ledge, legs dangling outside, ready to threaten Sebastian to keep him from leaving. But his car had already driven away, leaving her with only the view of its back.

Lynda's heart sank.

"Miss Baker! What are you doing?" Pemela rushed in, grabbing Lynda's arm. "Don't do anything foolish."

Lynda didn't really intend to jump. When Pemela helped her, she got down from the ledge.

"Miss Baker, calm down," Pamela said.

"You heard it, didn't you?" Lynda's eyes were red as she yelled at the innocent Pemela, "You look down on me, right? Who do you think you are? Get out, get out!"

Lynda couldn't stand being looked down upon by a servant.

"You're fired!" Lynda snapped, pointing to the door. "Get out, now!"

Pemela, in her fifties, though poor, was still respected by young people and even strangers who called her "Auntie". And now, Lynda, whom she had cared for, was trampling her into the dirt.

Plus, Pemela had just received a million dollars and didn't want to take care of Lynda anymore. She put her hands on her hips and snorted, "What a joke. You are just a mistress, and no one wants you!"

"You want to die?" Lynda spread her fingers and slapped Pemela across the face. Pemela's face turned to the side, showing five clear finger marks.

"You wretched woman," Pemela, trembling with shame and anger, pushed Lynda away. "Your happy days are over! Wake up. It's not just Mr. Lawrence who's disappointed in you..."

Pemela didn't finish, storming out and slamming the door.

Lynda's back hit the wall, and she broke out in a cold sweat from the pain. Her heart felt uneasy, and she was scared of dying. She needed to call Samuel.

The phone beeped in her ear. Frustrated, she clutched her chest and threw the phone onto the carpet. "Useless!" she cursed. If Samuel hadn't been so incompetent, Sebastian wouldn't have found out everything.

Lynda despised Samuel. He was a grown man, heir to a wealthy family, and still useless!

She covered her ears and screamed to vent her frustration. "No! This won't do at all!" she panted heavily. "Isabella! Isabella! Go to hell, go to hell! I curse you to die!"

Laughing wildly, she stared into the void as if Isabella were right in front of her. "You'll see. I'll be just fine, and you'll go crazy sooner or later. I can't wait!"

Outside the door, Samuel listened, a chill running down his spine. He stepped back and left.

He hadn't driven today, so he walked out of Pine Ridge Gardens and hailed a cab. The sunlight streaming into the car gave him a bit of warmth, but it didn't last long. His assistant called, saying a new project had been snatched by a small company.

Samuel furrowed his brows, immediately knowing who was behind it. "Got it. I'm coming back."

Besides Sebastian, who else could it be? Irritated, Samuel gripped his phone tightly. He could easily get the project back by threatening Sebastian with the truth about the car accident, but it wasn't necessary. If Sebastian knew he was eavesdropping, he might completely target him. For now, it was probably just a warning.

This time, he would take it as a lesson learned. Samuel rubbed his chin, a faint smile revealing a shrewd look. His brown eyes seemed to veil with a layer of mist, making it hard to see his true thoughts. The driver glanced at him, shivered, and felt a chill all over.

In the hospital parking lot, Sebastian's car pulled over. He didn't get out and just sat there, unsure how to face Isabella after she knew everything. The thought made him afraid to imagine. His heart tightened, the air in his chest squeezed out, causing pain.

Sebastian's eyes were cold and narrowed, sharp as a sword. He made a call, "Keep a close watch on Pine Ridge Gardens."

After giving the order, Sebastian relaxed his brows. He didn't linger and headed to Isabella's ward. As soon as he opened the door, a soft body collided into his arms.
