Chapter 309 Were They Going to Get Divorced?

Isabella thought silently in her heart, 'Anyway, no one knows I'm pregnant with twins. I will take one away, and who would know?'

"I will leave obediently, take my grandmother, Nancy, to another city, and disappear without a trace," Isabella continued while trying to pull her wrist out of Sebastian's hand.

The atmosphere instantly dropped to freezing point.

Edward and Amber were merely shocked, but compared to Sebastian, their expressions could be described as calm.

At this moment, Sebastian's face was so livid, it looked as if it might freeze over in extreme indifference. His thin lips were tightly pressed, giving off a cold aura.

He remained silent, not a single bit of softness even when Isabella struggled fiercely.

He just held her hand and did not let go. The back of his hand revealed faint bulging veins.

Isabella couldn't break free, so she simply looked directly at Sebastian and helplessly asked him, "Mr. Lawrence, do you have anything else to add?"

At this moment, it was as if there were no one else around.

Only the two of them.

She looked at him, and he looked at her.

No one could interrupt.

Isabella felt uncomfortable being stared at by Sebastian like this.

His gaze was quite cold, but why did she feel that there was an indescribable emotion in his icy eyes...

Isabella shivered.

"You have changed the way you address me?" Sebastian's voice was sinister. "What did you call me? Mr. Lawrence?"

She pursed her lips and fearlessly replied, "Yes, Mr. Lawrence, since you have no objections, I will be ready whenever you decide to divorce...."

Before she could finish her sentence, Isabella felt her feet leave the ground as Sebastian effortlessly hoisted her over his shoulder, and her head hung down.

"Sebastian, what are you doing?" Being upside down was extremely uncomfortable!

Blood rushed to Isabella's face. She clenched her fists and pounded on Sebastian's back. "Put me down!"

Sebastian remained silent and simply carried her away.

It was as if everyone else around them were invisible, and he completely ignored them.

Isabella was too loud, and he had no qualms. He took two steps and slapped her back hard, saying, "Shut up!"

Isabella felt a mix of anger, annoyance, and embarrassment. Sebastian carried Isabella's figure, quickly disappearing into the corridor on the fourth floor.

Amber suddenly snapped out of her daze and anxiously asked the old man beside her, "Grandpa are Sebastian and Isabella going to get a divorce?"

To her surprise, Edward, who had a stern expression just moments ago, suddenly smiled.

"Grandpa?" Amber looked at him with concern. "Are you upset because of Sebastian?"

Edward waved his hand with a smile and said, "You silly girl, go find yourself a boyfriend. You don't understand anything. You're clueless."

"What?" Amber was taken aback. How did the conversation shift to her?

"Alright, go back. I thought it was something serious, but it turned out to be a little quarrel between the young couple. I can see that they only have each other in their hearts. It must be a misunderstanding caused by others. Let them handle it themselves. Their marriage is not ending."

After speaking, Edward leisurely left, not even sparing a glance for Lynda.

Amber felt a bit puzzled.

After entering the elevator, she muttered to herself, "Sebastian and Lynda never really defined their relationship. They are two independent individuals. Why would Lynda do something bad? Besides, if she truly loves him, shouldn't she want his happiness?"

Edward closed his eyes and spoke slowly, "That Lynda, she had no love for your brother whatsover. Even if there is love, what she values most is Sebastian's power and status. Her heart is not pure. Sebastian spent a lot of effort and resources to treat her illness, but if she had to choose between his power and him, her choice would never be him. Sebastian needs to see this by himself. It's also strange, he seems to be spoiling Lynda a bit too much."

Edward couldn't understand it. "Amber, find some time and ask him about it."

Amber relaxed her furrowed brow. "Alright, Grandpa, I promise to complete the task."

Edward chuckled lightly. "Most importantly, remember to find a boyfriend for yourself."

Amber pushed her sunglasses and mumbled, "It's early to say that."

The grandfather and grandaughter left the hotel side by side.

In Room 4367, after watching everyone leave, Lynda slammed the door in frustration.

She forcefully swept the tea set off the table, causing it to shatter on the ground.

She never expected that her carefully calculated plan would end up being useless!

She still had a long way to go before marrying into the Lawrence family.

From start to finish, she felt like a clown, with all her schemes being exposed one by one.

Lynda sat on the bed, sighing deeply, a look of distress on her face.

Soon, a malicious expression appeared on her delicate face, slowly spreading.

She leaned back, lying on the bed, and started to laugh softly.

Despite all the trouble, it wasn't entirely ineffective. At the very least, that woman, Isabella, would be in pain.

With things having escalated to this point, Isabella and Sebastian probably wouldn't believe that they were in love with each other, right?

She wasn't sure of Isabella's reaction, but Sebastian would never trust Isabella again!

In the silent room, Lynda's laughter sounded, somewhat eerie.

Downstairs in the hotel, Sebastian carried Isabella out.

To him, Isabella's struggles were just a minor annoyance, like scratching an itch.

Sebastian held her with one hand while operating his phone with the other, arranging for his car to be brought by the staff of the Mystic River Tavern.

The car was quickly delivered, and the attendant, with a lowered head and a respectful manner, handed the keys to Sebastian.

Sebastian stuffed Isabella who was struggling constantly into the passenger seat and said with a cold face, "Dare to move, and you'll see the consequences."

Isabella was surrounded by Sebastian's presence, mixed with a lingering scent of Lynda, which made her feel nauseous.

She glared at him.

Just as Isabella was about to speak, Sebastian suddenly pressed on her shoulder with his hot palm, pinned her to the seat, and fastened her seatbelt, saying lightly, "If you don't care about Nancy..."

At this moment, no matter how much grievance Isabella felt, she couldn't utter a word.

This was her weakness.

She could only tightly grip her hand and endured it. Nancy was her last refuge.

From last night until now, her palm was full of imprints from her nails, just like her heart, riddled with wounds.

Isabella's eyelashes fluttered. She turned her body, looked straight ahead, and sat upright, as if doing so could give her a bit of self-respect.

What Sebastian couldn't stand the most was Isabella's indifferent appearance, which made him feel like he was the only one falling into this relationship.
